Super smo se proveli, hotel veoma cist i na vrlo dobroj lokaciji sa odlicnim pristupom svim prevoznim sredstvima! Osoblje vrlo ljubazno i s obzirom da nismo znali njemacki jezik super smo se sporazumjeli! Kreveti su udobni i dorucak je jako dobar! Highly recommend to anyone!

5 mins walk to tram station and to a nearby small shopping mall. 25min to get you to city center. Place is very clean and very nice!! Booked a twin room with a shared bath and found that the bath is actually private just that it has a separate entrance from outside. Reception and bar area is cute, breakfast is reasonable and the place is cozy and full of young energy! Loved it and will get back again. Better than their downtown sister hostel so dont mind the extra trip to get there. Thanks A&O!

It's quite far out but for Berlin it's not that far. Good price and close to all you need in terms of supplies there's a kiosk opposite and a shopping centre 500 m away as well as a direct tram into Berlin fairly central but five minutes away. Lots of staff on board, place was bustling but once in your double doored room you heard nothing. Warm, fresh and largely comfortable sleeping. Wine was pricy and there are extras to pay but overall a great three days.

I enjoyed my stay st the hostel. The dorms were spacious and well-lit. The area was suburb-ish, so its more ideal for car drivers and train-pass travelers. Mitte and Frierichein are close. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the area was interesting to check out. I liked the good price.

Pleasantly surprised ”
Pros Very clean, modern, warm, and comfortable place. (It was cold weather!) Hostels tend to be great for wild youthful types who don't value sleep, quiet and other people's rest! But this one seemed to be tailored for both and as an older single traveller, I had a blissful, restful time in a room which, apart from not having a kettle, was every bit as good as a hotel. Shower was great. Bed was comfortable. Even had a hair dryer. Cons Not central to Berlin However , I found that Google quite adequately led me there via nearby public transport. Trams and buses are close-by and operate frequently and late (if not all night). However one must reckon half an hour +, for travel to central Berlin (Alex) and the sights. But a major sight - The former Stasi Hohenschönhausen prison - is literally three minutes walk up the road. Tours are in German and English and cost €6. Check-in is after 3pm and check-out at 10am which I found inconvenient. Noisy drilling until 7pm was nauseating.

I've been here a lot recently. Much depends upon which room you get. Some have a shared entrance with the bathroom outside of the room. Often the room doesn't resemble the picture of the room you booked. There is no kettle or drink making facility in the room, but all the basic necessities are there: beds are clean and comfortable. Showers are clean and hot. Location: S-Bahn to Lichtenberg and bus virtually to the door; or Tram from Alex to Genslerstraße direct. Aldi and Lidl nearby. Quite a few places to eat within 15 mins walk. Historic former East German Stasi prison within 5 mins walk. I recommend. Staff helpful but laid back. Their English is good. Ear plugs or headphones might be useful. The concrete building carries the sound and if the boisterous neighbours don't disturb you, someone with a hammer drill will. It's happened every time so far!

Pros Price is reasonable Showers are clean and hot Building is modern and well maintained Location is not central but is accessible by a tram direct from Alexander Platz + a 5 min walk; or a bus from Lichtenberg stops outside 2 mins walk away. Aldi and Lidl both within 5 mins walking distance, so basic food and drink are cheaply available. Cons Not central to Berlin The room furniture in some rooms is very basic, eg 'desk' is less than 2 feet (60cm) square, no kettle in the room Some rooms like this one (hence the disappointment) has a bathroom outside the main door. Although it's not shared, it's a weird set up whereby, if you pop out to the bathroom in the night and forget your key card you'd have to go to reception half naked in get back into your room. This has ruined my trip. When you book, request an ensuit. I certainly will in future. I come here for a rest and generally it's comfortable, laid back and sufficient.

The neighbourhood is great, but a bit far from the city . With walking distance a bit hard, so if you plan tram and bus is fine. The arrangements of my room is very big, and more than I asking , friendly staff . But others than that , I can’t find out where to use their kitchen facilities.

I booked a bed in 4 bed dormitory, but when I got the key and went Ingo the room there were 6 beds. Of course I decided to go back to the reception and change the room, but it took for ne more time. So be attentive!

I stay in all 4x A&O Berlin... Kolumbus is the worst from all of them.. Location is not central, you have to go like 15 tram stops until Alexanderplatz...Problem was I stay there 4 nights in a 4xbed room 8th floor(elevator goes until 7th): I never saw housekeeping in this 4 days... room was dirty, garbage bin full. For me was the worst experience from all A&O Berlin... The blonde guy in the reception I think he was new or something I had to wait 30 min for check-in until he finish with 2guys in front of me all the datails of payment, in the end Front Office manager I think came to check me in( was a nice lady).. So to make it simple: Hotel isolated, far from city, rooms not so clean , stay here if is youw last option in Berlin....the other 3x A&O's Berlin are very nice(Hauptbahnhof, Friederichhein and Mitte)

Absolutely trash ”
I've never been more disappointed in a hotel stay in my life. This hotel did not do or have anything working properly. The staff was relatively useless. The rooms we stayed in had NONE of the actual facilities i needed like a fridge... which it said it would have and did not look like the picture I was showed. The rooms had an awful ventilation so the whole room was either hot or humid. The cleaning... was not cleaning. Clearing trash and give us clean towels... really ? Nothing worked or was great... I will not recommend this hotel to anyone
