Good for budget traveller”

AC was not that cold and need to clean. The hotel entrance quite shocking because you have to enter to another house before the Inn since the hotel is in one compound. Public transpo is very hard to find specially during night time. Unli coffee is the good thing.Internet is strong. No toiletries given.

Room is bigger enough and with balcony. Nice staff. However, little far to Alona beach. Need to take transport. They only have 1 bicycle for borrow but no break and gear. Difficult to ride and little danger.

What stood out is their staff and the peace of mind I found on this place. It was just the right place for me and my partner as we escape the busy city life. I just hope though they change the bed sheets. It was itchy.

The manager is so rude”

The first day to get Banglao,arrive at 6:30pm,the front desk told me the room I booked have been sold out!I book this room 3days ago!I don’t know why they told me there is no room for me,later I understand,in Christmas Day clients so many,every hotel raise their price,so the manager sold my room a high price to another guest!the desk front told me I can book another hotel if I like,attitude is so rude,there is no a little feel sorry to their mistakes!at last give me a room share the toilet with others!and tell me the price is the same as the isolated toilet room I have booked!so?you make the client like a fool!i told her staff to tell me weather have room tomorrow,the staff didn’t tell me initial 12pm,tomorrow morning 10:30 told me there is no room available,the manger’s attitude is that there is no room for u,please go away!

The photos displayed are years old, the 'resort' is tatty at best. (the pool however was clean and the goat was friendly). Room facilities were simply unusable the kitchen area/cabinets were dirty - we had to clean everything on arrival - and broken. They would be discarded from a junk shop. Bed linen was tattered and torn, although changed every 2 days. Bathroom dirty with used tissue left uncleared in shower area. Water was good pressure, but salty (to be expected) and smelly. TV did not work. Internet was non-existent despite the advert saying WIFI in all rooms. Terrace furniture was dirty and used by owners dogs and cats, so not suitable for anyone with animal allergies or concerned about hygiene. Staff were sultry and unwelcoming. It was cheap and showed it. Think we'd rather have slept on a park bench. Previous reviews indicate it has gone down hill badly in last couple of years. One to AVOID at all costs.

English version below ! Nous avons séjourné a l’Acacia Sunset Resort pendant 3 nuits. Le séjour se passait bien, malgré le fait que l’hôtel soit assez loin de tout. Le petit déjeuner était bon, et le personnel très serviable. Le dernier jour (il nous restait encore une nuit donc) nous revenons de notre balade et on s’aperçoit que la chambre a été « nettoyer » (draps changés, serviettes changées, mais crème renversée et pas nettoyée). Nous n’étions pas au courant que le ménage allait être fait, ce qui est apparemment fait tous les jours ou tous les 2 jours (aucune notice de ça). Immédiatement on regarde donc nos portes-monnaie et comptons nos sous. Et là on s’aperçoit qu’il nous manque 1000 pesos chacun. Je précise que nous étions deux et que notre argent ne se trouvait ni en vue, ni à la même place. J’en informe la réception, c’est un hôtel familial donc c’est eux qui font le ménage et nous dit qu’ils n’ont rien pris (bien évidement). Nous décidons alors d’aller voir la police, qui vient sur place avec nous. La responsable arrive bien 30 minutes après, et nous dit que nous mentons (et invente des choses qu’on aurait dit) et qu’elle ne nous rendra pas l’argent. On s’en sort quand même avec la location du scooter gratuite, mais cet incident a complètement gâché les points positifs que nous trouvions à l’hôtel malgré le fait de la localisation ! We stayed at Acacia Sunset Resort for 3 nights. The journey was good, despite the fact that the hotel is pretty far away from everything. The breakfast is good and the staff helpful. The last day (we still had one night left) we returned from our walk and noticed that the room was "clean" (sheets changed, towels changed, but cream spilled and not cleaned). We were not aware that the cleaning was going to be done, which is apparently done every day or every other day (no notice of that). Immediately we look at our wallets and count our money. And we realize that we are missing 1000 pesos each. I insist that we were two

We were welcomed by such nice people. They were friendly. The next day we wanted to reach Bohol and they helped us by offer us taxi services. They came with us all the morning long. The onwner was so nice to us. Thank you xx

Nice quite place, family owned. so they take pride in there resort and keep it clean and decorative. Everyone there was helpful. Kids loved the swimming pool. Both times that I have been there, I was happy there and sad to leave.

When we came there was no room for the first day eventhough we had confirmed booking and we had to sleep in a smelly room in a nearby hotel. Worst experience ever since it was hard to move around with children. The remaining days it was okey stay.

we enjoyed a lot in staying in acacia.. the pool house is suitable for family with children.. everyone enjoyed the private pool.. the owner is accomodating, very willing to accompany us to the market.. some of the things are quite old but can still be used..

more laid-back then staying on the alona beach”

Nice place, close to alona beach and poblacion but you still need to ride a local transport to reach them. You can save quite some money staying here and going for diving to alona beach dive shops and for eating to poblacion la familia restorant ( they have great burgers, picas and spageti for 1/2 price compared to alona beach restorants)

Quiet basic hotel with nice pool.”

This place is a long way from anywhere so you need transport. The staff were very good. However the room equipment and furnishings were substandard. The cooker was old and rusty and the pots supplied were so thin everything you cooked was burnt very easily. Only supplied with absolute basic cutlery and crockery but staff happy to supply items asked for such as can opener, wine glasses. The bed itself was completely beyond it's used by date. The bed was bamboo with a foam mattress which was caved into a body shape so was rock hard and not worth having. The Internet only worked occasionally. I think something better could be found closer to town.

i was lost my cell phone but the host call the police and touch friend who are tricycle driver. so we can look around fast and we found that!! they are kind and room is vert big, i think you can not find such a big, comfortable hotel with this price. you should stay at least 2 days cause it has beatiful sea so you can enjoy dive and go to valikasak and vergin island. Reversation with this site and i stongly recommend this hotel. i missed them a lot!!!

Comfortable accommodations and very helpful staff”

we stayed 3 nights in this hotel and would have stayed longer if we hadn't already booked our other hotels. great price for what you get. comfortable and clean rooms. provide rental of motorbikes which you need to get around. a quick ride to the beach from the hotel. rooms have balconies overlooking the small pool in the back. not very many rooms in this hotel so no one ever in the pool. we would recommend this hotel for others to stay in. downside is that there is no onsite restaurant but they do have drinks available and they will help you order in food from a nearby restaurant. a little slow in coming but good food.

A small family owned hotel. Pleasant staff, but too many kids running around. VERY thin walls - you can hear everything the neighbors say! 100 pesos for a trike to Alona. Fine for a short stay.

Decent place for a short stay”

Pleasant place. We stayed for three nights; we were very happy to be a bit further away from the crowds at Alona beach, and it was very easy to catch a trike into town from the location. Room was very basic, but clean enough. A/C was disappointing - it mostly cut the humidity, and didn't do much to cool down the room, but since a large fan was provided in addition, we did just fine with the combination (and we tend to suffer from heat). Breakfast is simple, but tasty (eggs made to order, bread, fresh fruit, instant coffee). There's also a small bakery a minute down the road. Very friendly dogs and cat on the premises. Pool is small but fine. Danao beach is walking distance, but not worth it, as it isn't a great place to swim or hang out - better to catch a trike to Alona.

Relax a but noisy”

5 mins motor bike ride from Alona beach. Clean and relax guest house. Provide breakfast. Swimming pool is too shallow to be of actual use except for small kids. Poor sound insulation if you mind, woken up by dog barks is less an issue compared to voices from next door.
