Great location, Great staff”

The security staff let it down at night, sometimes if you’re staying you’re still questioned, maybe they should just have a card scanner. I got turned down for not having ID, but this time it was not needed. Rooms are nice 5th floor needs fans in summer.

Amazing”

First time at Britannia always hesitated from going there as I always heard wasnt as good but the room was amazing upgraded for just £10. Was all so clean and the most stunning part was the stairways 😍

Good location ”

It’s a nice room, near train station and every famous place. There are many good restaurants nearby here, everything is prefect . Good price！！

In the middle of everything”

I love its location since it's located at the middle of the city, surrounded by everything you want. The hotel is old but classic. The stairs up to Second floors was superb. You can walk to the Tram in only 2 minutes. But, if you carry big luggage, note that there are stairs in front of the hotel that you have to help yourselves to carry them.

Nadpovprečno”

Water dripping heavily from the windows inside the room ( they changed it for me right away but still.....). Lack of power outlet. No free internet. Old, not classic type of decoration. Poor noise blocking. Never will stay in this kind of hotel anymore even FOC.

Decent and good value”

The staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable to be in. The toilet was clean although sometimes the heating for the shower might not work. Not much view to see outside the window as there's only buildings. Walls are quite thin and you'll hear loud music and people laughing and talking outside but it's bearable. But it was in a very good location! Easy to walk anywhere. The room had a TV, towels were provided (small and large one), an extra pillow in the closet, no toiletries, window, electric kettle. For the price I paid (£124 for 2 nights without breakfast) I would say it's worth it.

Such a beautiful hotel”

We loved it here so much. The hotel has so much class and elegance. The stairs, the rooms, even the carpets. Everything is so classy that we were definitely in awe by it. We enjoyed this hotel so much as it is in the city centre and so easy to get around by walking.

Good central location”

Fast check in and check out. This is the second time I've stayed here recently and I have been very pleased. I had breakfast and this was varied and tasty. The hotel is fairly old but not without charm and the rooms are clean. It is centrally located and I would recommend this hotel for anyone eating or drinking in central Manchester.

Good central hotel”

Check in and check out were both very easy and I was in my room within minutes. The room was large enough for one person and comfortable. The only problem was that it was cold. It was a nice day in mid May but I was chilly when I got to the room. I put the radiator on but nothing happened. I was warm enough in bed though. I slept well but was woken up when housekeeping came in the room in the morning. I hadn't put up the "do not disturb" sign but as I was checking out a few hours later I didn't understand why they had to come in then. All in all it was a good price for a central hotel.

I stayed there for a day only. But I felt that it's one of the best and affordable hotel in Manhester. Walk-in rate might be more expensive than Agoda rate. Agoda rate is the best. I rented Executive double room. It's very comfortable room n cozy enough. I would recommend this place and rate it as 4 star.

Perfect position for city centre. Staff good and friendly. No window in room but only 1 night stay. Changed room no hassle about it. Very cheap. Rooms and hotel seen better days but for the price great value.

Experince of good old days.”

Dated but well maintained. Let you an experience of the old glory it once has had. Good location. l had a problem as I wasnt familiar with their older version of the key card ( Not the current swipe type, had to insert and take out immediately ), my fault of cource but no proper instructions in the card. But the help in this respect was poor as they made me climb up and down 3 times before somebody came to the door and showed my how it worked.

You get what you pay for”

Ideally located in the centre of Manchester at a bargain price of £40. Building is old and hotel can be a bit noisy in the evening. Rooms are basic and bed was ok but a bit lumpy. However for a cheap mid week stop over this was ideal.

Had a very pleasant stay over a weekend. ”

Room was lovely and warm, very clean. Even though we were 5th floor up you could hear the beat of the music in the room. Also could do with more sound proofing between the rooms.. Evening 4course meal very reasonable but food could be a little warmer.

Great stay”

Lovely welcoming and helpful staff and immaculately clean and comfortable room. Concierge service was really useful for leaving luggage and hotel brilliant for centre and loads of shops and restaurants.

Perfect for our short stay”

Great location in the centre of Manchester, staff friendly and helpful when I needed to change rooms and when I mislaid my passport (many thanks), clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet good, didn't have dinner so can't comment. I had an internal room without a window but this wasn't a downside as it meant I got a great nights sleep with no outside noise!

Stayed for 3 nights. The place needs a bit of investment. It's a bit run down. Room was ok but some lights didn't work and the be was ancient. Not many plug points etc. The staff were really good but some of the other guests looked very dodgy. Nothing bad happened to me though. There was a bit of noise at night sometimes from slamming doors etc, but you get that at all hotels I supposed. It was ok considering the price that I paid.

Great Value”

Great location and great price considering how central this hotel is. The furniture is quite dated but was fine. Bed was comfy and staff were lovely. If you want to be central and your on a budget then this is a great option.

Nightmare ”

Book the hotel on a last minute not many hotel was available for 50£ due to Manchester vs Derby on the nite . They gave me a room at the far end of the hotel virtually last room , which is smaller no window low ceiling . The hotel was a converted cotton mills build in 1880’s The room feels uneasy ,however after the evening pass midnight there are strange noise on top floor , people walking on wooden floor . I requested for a room change at 12:30 am I told the front desk . They say they don’t know what’s the noise . So they let me changed to a new room that’s is not too far from the lift. . Came out from room at 8:30am to the lift , two corps was at the lift areas sealed off , the corps asked if I seen anything night before . I said no. Corps told me someone jump off the window at ealry dawn and die at the back lane . saw on BBC news reported 2 died in the hotel one in the room and the other jump off the building. Google on the hotel they will tell you the the Unpleasant news
