Everything's within reach”
After a month of research for a budget hotel in Tagbilaran, I end up with 2 choices one is an Inn (i don't know if I'm allowed to tell it here) and the other one is the Slim Pension House. At first I was decided to pick the Inn because I found a lot of good reviews about it unlike the Slim pension house I just read one or two reviews. On the day of my departure from Manila I've finally decided to take the Slim Pension House because I know I will be having a private bathroom contrary to the other one which has a shared bathroom. Checking-in was so easy and the staff where very helpful carrying my luggage to my room. Upon seeing my room at first I'm not surprise with it, just as expected for a budget hotel however, it was a little bit spacious though. The aircon was good, the cabinets was ok but I saw some cab webs inside so I've decided not to put my things in there, their TV's small but it has cable which is good because I can watch my favorite tv program, Wifi is good and I can access it easily in my room, bathroom have enough space but there's no warm shower, so I need to turn off the aircon prior taking a bath so I would not be shivering after. The staffs were very friendly and I was so thankful with them because they give me very helpful information and advise regarding directions and transportation and they were so nice to answer all my inquiries. I was only bothered with the ants on the bed sheets when I arrived and I've asked them to change it though but ants were still there after putting the new one so I already mastered smashing the ants through my entire stay there. Probably they could do something about it like hiring a pest control. The best thing about this pension house is the location because it was very accessible, 3 malls are near and the church is a walking distance, there's a drug store nearby and transportation were every were.

Good stay”
It was what I paid for, decent enough to stay, good location because the commercial center of Tagbilaran is just a walking distance and around the corner, the public transpo knew the pension house so you won't have any problem finding this, the free breakfast is good enough for me, the staffs are friendly though I think they are understaffed.

Slim Pension House Review”
I liked Slim Pension House because they have probably the lowest nightly rate for a decent standard single room in all of Tagbilaran, and the fact that they are located in downtown Tagbilaran. The staff are still accomodating, like how they were a couple of years back. However, there's so much to improve on --- like they can buy new bed sheets and maybe bigger pillows. Also, they need to make sure to check that the rooms do not have cobwebs in the hard-to-reach corners. The first time I got into the assigned room, I saw something crawling in the floor ---and the room smells of old wood. But everything else seemed ok, plus the staff is still accommodating.

Thanks for helping me in here”
I was stay in Bohol while super thypoon yolanda hit Philippines. Fortunately, the situation in Bohol quite fine although heavy rain and heavy wind for a day. My flight was cancelled moved into tomorrow so I overstayed one night here. The staff was very helpful helping me in this situation. There is wi-fi but it can only limited access due to the earthquake in Bohol on Oct 15th 2013. The breakfast was simple and affordable

Clean, cool & comfortable (no frills, no complaints) ”
This hostel is in a great location, centre of Tagbilaran city, an easy commute by motorbike to Alona Beach or Chocolate Hills. Breakfast is good. The room with private bathroom was nice and Clean, good A/C, and had very comfortable beds. Cable TV was a bonus. Staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous.

ANTS IN YOUR PANTS”
Rooms are quite big, slept pretty well here, they have a really bad ant problem, its rather out of control, nothing is safe, from them. we got a free breakfast, which was pretty poor. not much to do here, Bohol was my least favourite place, I really did not like it. Don't hire a motorbike from the hotel they add on 200p, best to sort one yourself, we got one for 400p. never had my room cleaned, when I asked for new sheets and towels they were delivered, and I changed the beds myslelf. Excellent eatery next door, a guy called Jay owns it great food and really nice guy, not much else to eat around here, was glad to leave bohol

Ok as starting point for Bohol excursion”
We travelled as family with 3 teenagers less keen on beach life (---》Panglao Island) but to visit Bohol attractions. For this it's a good choice, stuff was very helpful with information about how to do it by public transport rather than doing it by an organised tour. Aircon quite noisy and rooms/bath a bit rundown (toilet seat/no warm shower). Typical filipino breakfast. in relation to price still ok.

The best value for money”
Nice ... I like the basic, simple but clean, comfortable and conveniently located. You get the value for money with breakfast included. I will come back to this accommodation for the homey feeling in Tagbilaran City.

Good location, good price”
Not a place for meeting people but was reasonably priced and very centrally located with a great free breakfast. Cheaper to book through Agoda than in person ;)

Budget place”
Place was cheap but clean. Place could use some repainting. We just walked from Tagbilaran airport to this place and saved some money but its only for those who like walking. Breakfast was average.

Very good”
Cheapest passable option in Tagbilaran. Nothing special but other places are even worse for more money.

It was a nice stay. The room was smelly as if not occupied for quite some time or number of days.I sprayed perfume upon entering to eliminate the odor. The breakfast was poor. Hotel Staff Grace was accommodating to every query I had.

Fine”
I stayed here for two nights while I explored Bohol. The room was a good size, and in decent shape. It was easy to access food, the mall, and find a pedicab from the location, though it was somewhat far from the pier.

Good central location”
I think this is the cheapest available on Agoda, and the location is not that bad, at least relative to Panglao Chocolate Hills Resort, which is on the edge of nowhere. Arriving before noon, I was able to take a nap before meeting the tarsiers. Back on topic, the room is spacious alright, with a double bed and a small TV. There is an aircon, of course, and a phone that could not connect to the outside world despite the label stuck on it saying otherwise. You also have a bible on the bedside table.
