"Probably one of our highlights of our trip. Beautiful boat, good rooms with private deck which was so nice. Amazing views, just wish we had more time and spent longer as we only did 1 night. The floating village is amazing to see and be rowed around by a local. All pricing on board is in American dollars and they add 15% on top. I highly recommend victory star and it was definetly one of the best looking boats we saw especially as some don't even have decks. "

"Small boutique hotel with lots of trees/greenery area. The best of the hotel is the staff who are nice and supportive. Only one thing I would recommend them is to get to know more details about event/attractions/tours to advise guests. The second best is the cook. We had two good lunches with tasty food, reasonable price and peaceful space for family It's pity that I couldn't book the beach front building, but the back side also not bad, which view Bai Tho (Poem) mountain. It's only 300m to the temple of General Tran Quoc Nghien and King Le Thanh Tong. The room I book is a Deluxe Twin Mountain View, large enough, and clean. The minus points are the strange location of the TV, which is right angle to the beds and the hand sink put outside the small bathroom. If you like more activities, a hotel in Bai Chay area should be more suitable. For family who need peaceful, this hotel is a good choice. 10 minute taxi, at 3 USD will take you to the center of swimming, theme park and cable car."

"The hotel is good value for money, beds are very comfortable, everything is very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. My only complain would be the breakfast, there are some of the same options you get at almost any hotel (noodles, fried egg, fried rice, fruit, etc) but it was cold and bland; however it is not a deal breaker."

"Excellent location for us because we want to eat local Vietnameses food. The Vitcom food center also has excellent Korean food with sashimi. Good view of the island. Staff Jenny speak very good English. We really enjoyed our easy here. Next time we hope to bring our family. For Halong Bay tour, it is about a fifteen minutes to the boarding port. Most hotel near the Halong Bay do not have much activities. This is the best of both world...go yo Halong Bay and enjoy the local Vietnam food and culture. "

"It was a lovely hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was good with a very good view of the clock tower roundabout with Halong bay as a backdrop. The rooftop bar was fab with amazing views. It was such a pity that they were building next door and started drilling and hammering at 6:00 am. Once the building next door is finished I would highly recommend the hotel"

"One of the best priced hotels I have stayed in for this level of comfort. Rooms are large, modern and quite luxurious. Large flat screen TV with sat channels and fast Wi-Fi. Bordering on 4 star in my opinion. The hotel is new however, so the rooftop facilities which I believe are a gym and/or bar are still under construction (June 2016) There is however little reason for travelers to Ha Long Bay to want to stay in this part of town, as Hong Gai offers little in terms of things to see, apart from the fishing port and a modern shopping mall minutes away. The best reason for staying here a night or 2 is to be within walking distance to the nearby climbable "Bai Tho" mountain, which offers sweeping views over the bay. "

"The Confetti is a cool, kinda small hotel located in Hon Gai. I randomly chose it for my 3-day biz trip in Quang Ninh. Honestly, i didn't expect much at that moment but it turned out to be a wise choice. The hotel might not be suitable for holiday trip since it's pretty far from Bai Chay. But for those who wanna get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, The Confetti is definitely among the best choices in town. "
