Loboc River ResortLoboc,Loboc - View on map
"Loboc River Resort is a wonderfully, small, intimate new resort right on the calming green waters of the Loboc River. We booked for two and ended up spending 5 days at this great place. We stayed as we loved the owner, staff and found interesting and unusual things to do. Bohol is famous for its Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers. We enjoyed those tourist things, but loved four unusual things as well. Across the river from the lodge (it costs 5 pesos to be rowed across) is a wonderful small paved road that goes through small communities and ends three km later in Loboc. It was fun and gorgeous and much of it shaded. We also had the privilege to attend performances by the local Children's choir and the Band. Both have won international competitions and well deserved fame. They were a treat beyond words. We also visited (and had almost completely to ourselves) a nearby 10,000 hectare protected landscape/national park (Rajah Sikatuna NP). The guided trek was wonderful. Finally, the gracious owner, Zynn, took us on a personal tour of her place and we had a chance to watch fish being harvested, feed monkeys, and taste plants in their organic gardens. Zynn also brought us some of the best mangoes we have eaten in our lives which the kitchen staff cut up and served to us. Her husband also played music for us and personally took us to town to listen to the youth band. Others have written about the gorgeous views, great food, free firefly tour, etc. Loved this home away from home!"

Fox & Firefly CottagesLoboc,Loboc - View on map
"Fox & Firefly Cottages felt like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas. At this point in the trip, we had experienced the beaches of the Philippines. We wanted to move inland and experience something off the beaten path. Fox & Firefly Cottages offered just that. Situated right next to the Loboc River and down a dirt path road, we were greeted by staff of the cottages with warm and friendly smiles. They showed us around the premises, pointing out the onsite restaurant (food is wonderful), open air bathroom and showers (beautifully decorated with native plants and one of my favorite parts about this place), and our cottage. We read books in our hammock on the front porch, wrote in our journals while enjoying coffee at the restaurant, and watched the stars on the dock. We enjoyed the night time firefly SUP tour. This was our first time paddle boarding and we did just fine! The tour is peaceful and a unique experience. Being able to rent scooters onsite was a bonus! We really appreciate the hospitality we were shown and highly recommend this place for future visitors. "

Loboc Riverfront Resort and RestaurantLoboc,Loboc - View on map
"The place is nice, let's get that straight. But I'm super picky on the bathroom and there's my issue. The toilet is placed so near the wall you can't sit on it properly and when you bathe with a pail, be prepared for the water to leak out of the room. The rug is way too thin to even absorb it. Aside from that, staff are really nice, especially the front desk. Room is pretty and the porch is great. But yeah...bathroom. cramped toilet. "
Loboc Nipa Hut VillageLoboc,Loboc - View on map
"We loved this hut! It's in the middle of the jungle, right by the Loboc River. When we got there we were blown away by how beautiful the surroundings were. So peaceful, and the staff are very friendly! They also hire scooters, paddle boards and kayaks. The hut was nice, comfy bed, mosquito net and a nice terrace with a hammoc. Only down side is the toilet, which is a squat type one. But we loved the place!"

"All in all it was good however there's no hot water but it's fine because we are Filipino and we are used to it. It's very accessible to the place from Loboc cruise and going up to the chocolate hills. Good choice for location and price. It was cheap. 900+ pesos for 2 days and there are food nearby. We ride a tricycle going to terminal and bus going here. Fare is cheap. "
Hilltop Cottage ResortLoboc,Loboc - View on map
"It was easy to find and from the Ferry landing you take a tricycle to the bus station and then a jeepney to Loboc and our jeepney driver took us the extra 1.5 KL to the cottages. The first thing we saw was the very cloudy swimming pool which was not very inviting to swim so we decided not to. Was a long way up to the hut via stairs but was an ok room with a large bathroom. The TV didn’t seem to have any antenna hooked to it as we could not get any channels to come in clear, just a bunch of TV snow. There was no restaurant at the hotel but they opened up their kitchen and made us noodles and pork adobo for dinner the first and actually for each night thereafter. The AC unit worked well and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. "
