The resort: The resort is amazing. Quiet, hidden, only 3 villas. The villas have a unique design that matches the island, fantastic architecture, huge, clean, huge terrace with an outside bad. Great lighting, candles, hot water, a very well-equipped mini-bar with a wine fridge, snacks, and everything you need to enjoy your stay. The beds are huge and very very comfortable. There is a great swimming pool, the staff is super friendly, the garden is wonderful and you have your own piece of beach. The breakfast is very delicious, you can rent your scooter or tuk-tuk here. Everything was just 10 stars! If you rent a scooter it will be refilled daily, you get fresh towels and water for your trips. If you don’t want to drive, Jerome (the owner) will bring you daily to the restaurant you want to visit. There are wonderful, lovely dogs on the resort and Jerome takes care of many other dogs who are living in the streets of Camiguin. The owner: Jerome is one of the friendliest people we have ever met in our life. He welcomes you with a warm heart and is the best host you can imagine. He will give you daily trip tips based on the weather, your mood, and your daily plans. Same for restaurants! He takes care of everything in such a perfect way, it’s unbelievable. As we stayed on NYE, he invited all guests from the resort to a restaurant. He is always there to help, no matter what or when. He is a role model for every hotel owner, he will make your stay on the island simply perfect! This was THE PERFECT stay - we loved every minute here. It was very very difficult to leave this place, we can’t wait to come back, and for sure, this is the place to be on Camiguin!

I stumbled upon Some Where Else Boutique Resort after searching my first choice resort's location. I had already booked my first choice but I decided to look at Some Where Else Boutique. Because it had a higher rating than my first choice I decided to cancel my previous reservation and book with Some Where Else. Many people talk about Jerome and his hospitality and him being a gracious host. I agree with their comments because he went over and above his call of duty. You never heard the word NO because he was always accommodating. He really takes extra good care of his guests. Andrew was an awesome driver who took us touring around the island. It was almost as if we had our own personal butler. I love the staff because they made us feel so much at home. We're definitely going back to this resort. We already miss our wonderful time at Some Where Else. Thanks, Jerome and your great staff.

Difficult to top!”
I spent a week in this beautiful place with my two kids (7 and 9 yrs). Everything was perfect, from the pick-up in the airport, the quality and cleanliness of the villa, the offering of the minibar in the room (i.e. not only soft drinks and snacks, but also a selection of different red and white wines in a wine fridge as well as a bottle of 15 yr old rum), the delicious breakfasts on the beach or the private terrace, the size and cleanliness of the pool, the beach (black sand) and last but not least the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and especially Jerome (the owner) and his dogs ;-)

A quiet gem in the center of Camiguin ”
Located 5 minutes away from the airport is this beach front resort that houses a few villas, good to accommodate couples, honeymooners, families and/or friends. Friendly staffs, very clean rooms, serves big breakfast (hot choco, fruit balls and breads are the best). It provides transportation services at flexible terms. The owner is friendly and quite helpful in planning your day's itinerary. Highly recommended!

We had an.amazing three night stay in somewhere else resort. The unit was located in sublime location for sunset and has plenty of space to roam around to enjoy. Not crowded like any other resort.Their biggest value though is their staff as Jerome and his well trained people delight each and every guests . They think ahead of what their guests needs and offer to provide them. I'm.a hotelier myself and I have experience how this resort exceeds their guests expectations. We have visited three resorts in.camuguin and this is by far the BEST in the island. HIGHLY recommended

One of a kind experience ”
Superb Service!! Jerome was a gracious host! He planned our trips everyday and recommended restaurants that were all great! Fresh towels and beach towels were provided everyday. You can see that he really put an effort in providing the guests what they need. We requested for an additional fan and Jerome made an extra mile to borrow it from his neighbor without charging us extra. The breakfast by the beach is something you should look forward to. The chocolate drink plus the food and presentation is really awesome! We rented a van and driver andrew was also very pleasant and accomodating. The staff are very friendly too!! The resort caters only to a few guests so we were able to relax and have the privacy and serenity that we all need. Kudos to Jerome and his staff for the hospitality! I would definitely recommend this resort!

QUIET, COZY PLACE FOR RELAXATION”
We went here with my now husband to celebrate our honeymoon after the wedding and were very please with the stay. It is best for those who'd like to have a nice nature escapade away from the city, very quiet and the place is beautiful.

Four Dogs and a Beach”
I'm not one to dish out compliments easily but Some Where Else in Camiguin was simply too good not to rave about. For someone who is (very) anal about cleanliness, this quaint, quiet, nondescript resort definitely passes with flying colors. If for this reason alone, I will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Camiguin. But what I do plan to go back to this island for, second only to the rich and biodiverse snorkeling sites in Mantigue Island, are the design and functionality of the boutique resort villas. The French owner, Jerome Birnbaum, has a deep appreciation of Filipino craftsmanship. He also has such a knack for attention to detail that he thought of just about everything that even well-traveled guests might forget to bring or not think about needing during a trip to an island paradise. Jerome also has four spoiled but friendly island dogs (rescues) who roam the half-a-hectare beachfront property and make it a point to drop in to welcome resort guests. Four dogs and a beach. It's pretty hard to top that.

Excellent villas and a great host - perfect”
Somewhere Else is really unlike any other hotel I've stayed in and certainly unlike any other place in Camiguin. It is a small, private place - just two unique villas designed by Jerome located just steps from the beach. The villas have all the amenities and an innovative design that really makes them worth the price. However, the best part of the stay was the hospitality of the owner who provided customized recommendations for activities on the island, organized an island tour for us, recommended a great restaurant (and then took us there himself on his motorbike when the driver wasn't available). Really, nothing was too much trouble for him - the level of hospitality is astonishing. Now, about the villas . We stayed at Le Pavilion, the smaller of the two villas and had a tour of Le Ryadh as well. Either villa would be an excellent choice. Both villas have high ceilings, a unique and creative design and plenty of well thought-out amenities such as an outdoor shower (in addition to an indoor one), outside deck and a rooftop pool in Le Ryadh. Either villa would be perfect for a couple. Le Ryadh would be a better choice for a large group. Breakfast is excellent, particularly the coffee and the freshly-baked bread. We've stayed in another well-rated hotel on Camiguin as well during this trip and it couldn't hold a candle to Somewhere Else. Really, Somewhere Else is the best resort on the island and I will certainly be back.

THE BEST RESORT EVER!!!”
do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and book this resort... We spent 7 days in Camiguin and this resort was only available during the first 4 nights, so we ended up visiting ~15 top rated resorts in Camiguin – and I can tell you that: Jerome’s place is BY FAR the best one there. First, he has only 3 villas in this little heaven he built there, and they are all very well designed up to the tiniest details – the huge comfortable bad, the interior design, the double bad terrace surrounded by a beautiful garden, the luxurious showers. The breakfast is freshly made and served to your room whenever you want it to. PERFECTION. The place itself is one big garden with coconut trees and a beautiful pool just next to the sea. Second, and the most important thing in our opinion – Jerome is not just the landlord there, he’s your friend. He picked us up from the airport, explained us what we can do in Camiguin, where to go and where to eat. Did I mention PERFECTION??? We love you Jerome.
