I stayed here a few days for a conference nearby and the location is just perfect. It is a few step away from West Lake and you can have the lake view from your room. The staff is so helpful and attentive. They clean the room very well everyday. I have great sleep every night. The room has washing machine and well equipped kitchen so it’s just perfect for me!

We chose this place specially because if room size, it very spacious, highly recommended for families and who is looking for spacious rooms. Even though I booked 1 bedroom apartment they upgraded to 2 bedroom apartment, just nice we loved it, it had a great view over lake Location will be edge in the city but it’s just 10min away from city center. Breakfast was okay! Not much variety but it’s fine ! Staff was great, very helpful. They guided us what to do and where to go. Definitely will come here again !

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Somerset West Lake since we were expecting a fully furnished studio and they provided a nice room with everything you need for a small family. Besides, the receptionists are quite helpful in finding and returning my forgotten stuffs in fhe room. The only matter made us disappointed is the view. It is advertised on Agoda that the apartment will have lake view, that's why we decided to book! However, when we arrived, they gave us the apartment on ground floor with definitely no view at all. We had to request to arrange for us another unit on upper floors with proper view as stated in the room description but they can only give us the one on 2nd floor (on top of the one on the ground) and it still turned out to have only view to trees and their pool!!! If anyone like to have view, I would recommend to make sure that your apartment is located on higher floor, or choose the 1-bdr unit instead since it has balcony and direct view to the lake.

We had a marvelous stay in Hanoi at the Somerset West Lake. Wonderful design with very good service. Spacious room with great view of West Lake for two person. it is very reasonably priced too for a hotel of this quality. My only qualm was that there are no other restaurant near the hotel.

i have been in a couple of hotels in vietnam from low range to upper class. somerset west lake is a nice one : competitive in terms of rates and with human size so you feel at home. appartments are clean, hotel is quiet, staffs helpful. worth to stay if you want quiet time in hanoi. note that west lake is just behind the hotel : you have a view on it from the garden and the swimming pool

i have been in a couple of hotels in hanoi. i did tried this one because of the location - i needed to be close to the west lake. it is actually a serviced appartment residence with nice rooms. what makes this hotel nice is the human size, good service from staffs who were nice and willing to help, the garden that is quiet and where it is nice to take breakfast in the morning or to seat in front of the swimming pool. rooms themselves are spacious and convenient.

...but am extremely positive about the Somerset. As a western person who spends a lot of time in Hanoi with my young family it stood out vs alternatives by the fact that you feel removed from the chaos of the city by virtue of overlooking the West Lake, and even more so by the staff who are charming and very effective. In particular our maid service was excellent. It wasn’t just that the lady cleaned our place extremely well daily. She also folded our laundry and put away our dishes etc. I’d recommend this place and will stay there whenever I go back to Hanoi.

Great value for 5 star service ”
This is our second time in this hotel. We book an executive studio with lake view, which has siting area separated from bedroom, a fully equiped with small kitchen and washing machine. The whole studio is spacious, new and with a balcony looking to the West Lake. The place is very clean and confortable so we did feel at home rather than in a hotel. Breakfasts are quite generous with great choice of hot foods and salads. My little son enjoyed the smimming pool where we enjoyed the small but nice gym. One can also jog along the lake road in the morning, which is just in the back gate of the hotel. The hotel is about 3-4 km from the city center but one can get there by taxi easily and quite cheap. Srongly recommended for families and for a relatively long stay (a week or more). We would come again to this hotel next time in Hanoi.
