Paradise Found”
Let’s start with the WOW factor. The Steigenberger ALDAU Beach Hotel has the wow factor in abundance. From the first day you step into the lobby to the last day when you discover something new. This hotel and the compound are BIG in every sense. Big on quality, big on service and big on relaxation. From the first day when we arrived, the check in staff took to the lobby bar where we were offered drinks and a welcome nibble. It was only when we were settled in from the flight, we were checked in and allocated our room which we were whisked of to on the numerous gold carts you see whizzing around the resort. We opted for the Deluxe room which overlooks the main swimming pool with a distant view of the sea. I say distant because this resort is so vast and big that the walk to the beach is a good 10 to 15 minutes if you stop to admire all the beautiful flowers and greenery the groundkeepers work so hard to maintain. Our room on the 3rd floor was fabulously furnished. A double king bed, two sofa chairs, a desk, table and chair. There was also a large screen TV and a fridge hidden inside a cupboard which contained a mini. There was plenty of storage space which meant you could completely empty your suitcase. We even rang housekeeping for more hangers which were brought to our room promptly. The bathroom had both a full size bath and shower. A vanity unit with all the essentials provided by the hotel including 2 lovely bathrobes. The heart of the hotel which is the lobby area and beautiful and definitely somewhere you wanted to spend the evenings. With 2 bars, shops and activity booking centre. We discovered on the last day there is even a doctors surgery tucked away. The ambience in the lobby is fabulous with live music every night, drinks and nibbles brought to your table by the fabulous bar crew who I want to thank. We had a real great experience at at this place. staff were very friendly and welcoming from the time that we first got into the hotel at the front desk to the servers at the buffet. In Egypt 5 stars it does not means 5 stars according to world standards, but for the Steigenberger ALDAU it was defiantly a 5 starts.This hotel is one of the a German hotel Chain's, there standards were highly according to a European standards . I noticed German managers following up on food quality and customer service experience all the time. This Steigenberger changed my prospective on booking hotels for my next trips because it was defiantly an amazing experience.

Good hotel with good options included in the all inclusive. Nice big rooms. Clean. Welcoming staff Nice garden and very large swimming pool. The beach is ok but not stunning. However in 2022, it is sad that hotels like this have not starter the "greener" transition: STOP disposable plastic glasses on the beach! STOP disposable straws! STOP individual soap bottles in the room! STOP replacing towels in room everday! SENSIBILIZE guests on water scarcity and encourage good behaviors by concrete actions/rewards REPLACE the unsuseful large green lawns by sand/rocks to reduce water consumption etc...
