I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days, I had booked the Privilege Suite. I don't have any complains regarding this hotel, I would give it 5 star but the prices are bit high, but it's worth it. If you're here for getting relaxed, this is the perfect hotel, the staff is very particular and prompt. The only set back is the wifi, it's not free, you could only use for an hour then you have to pay for it. The rooms are clean, tidy.

What a view! ”
We selected this hotel only because of it's location. Right next to the monestry. We stayed in a classic room although room had no view but the hotel's view point had it all. Food was delicious and rest of the services were great too

Getting there is difficult but property is big”
Getting there is difficult but property is big. Sterling is just adjacent to the ghum monastery. The road is very narrow, most of the motorists have an understanding otherwise it would be very difficult to get there. The lane is narrow. The property as such is in a big expanse, breakfast buffet is good. Service is excellent and staff is helpful and eager to do anything. What could have improved - they should ideally check rooms before someone check-in like our room heater was not working and when you are at 8degrees it matters when you are freezing. Rooms are large but roof is lower could be just around 6.3 ft . Overall a good stay, nice staff, good food and nice property. No comments on the toad to there

Very nice and cordial staff even rooms are really nice. recommend to visit here. only -ve is approach is actually small, could be an issue during peakseason and expensive food there. we ate outside and came to hotel at night so didnt feel these issues and had a great time.

The entrance road to Sterling is very jam prone. We booked the Priviledge suite with mountain view, but the room we were given did not have any mountain view. Instead we had to come to the Kanchenjunga point (very near to our room) to have the view. Apart from this, the food is very reasonable, rooms are quite spacious and staffs were very friendly. We did lots of shopping from the in-house store at a very reasonable rate. As the resort is at a higher altitude, one can get good view of Kanchenjunga when the sky is clear.

Hospitality and service was top notch.The view from my room was bad and i was immediate upgraded to a bigger and better room.There was a bonfire with some games that we enjoyed. The resort has a Kanchenjunga view point which is very impressive.The resort is located in Ghoom , literally thehighest point in Darjeeling and is much colder .Conveyance From the resort is bit expensive as to get local taxi you have to walk down quite a bit.Overall a very pleasant stay

I enjoyed my stay at Sterling Darjeeling and the place is located a little outside the main city of Darjeeling. Commuting to the main town area is little cumbersome if someone is not interested in walk down or up the hill. You can get a public shared taxi after 10mins walk from the hotel to the ghoom station - shared taxis run almost till evening to and fro Darjeeling main town area til Ghoom station. The breakfast was nice , widely spread and tasty too especially South Indian dishes.

Great place to holiday”
Hotel is located at a beautiful location.. You can see the Kanchenjunga peak from the hotel.. no need to go to Tiger hill if you have less time. Staff is courteous.... the buffet spread is good... They have play area for kids. Overall a pleasant experience.

The Facility was good. Ambiance was amazing. But the food and other amenities were expensive inside the property and we don't have any choice as the property is situated in Goom outer and have no access to main raod

Decent hotel”
Hotel within city. The room was very small. Cant open two suitcases together. There is no AC in the room just in case you go in summer or even in winter you cant open the windows & feel suffocated. The service was very good. The food was very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Would recommend this place if you do not need ventilation or AC in the room.

The resort is a nice place to stay if you like staying secluded from people or market places. The place is around 40 min drive to mall road and up n down taxi fare would be around 1000 bucks. While the rooms are good and well maintained, the service is also prompt. The only issue anyone would face is the limited choice of menu and high price (however, the quantity justifies the price). If you do not like the menu choices you have no other choice of food as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. It was a pleasant stay but would have been awesome if there were better food choices at a nominal cost.

Its an Old property located in narrow lane and 5-6 km away from Mall road, Next to Ghoom Monastery . However premise is very big and has all the basic facilities such as Indoor games, Gym & Spa (They were closed that day), Kids zone, wifi. You have to followup a few times to get services. When I entered room, Phone was not audible, TV was blurring, they did not have some basic items etc and after few follow ups all of these were resolved. Food was good but very costly. Overall, For that money, One should be able to get similar hotels inside the city with all these facilities.

It’s a good hotel but approach road is bad”
Location wise it’s a bit far from Darjeeling city centre and the approach road is bad. The breakfast spread was not that great at times it was chaotic. However the hotel offers great views of Kanchenjunga and the activities centre is great. Not much options for food as well and prices are steep.

Decent property to visit with family, but the location and pathway are not that great, although the views from the resort are good. Price/rates are on the higher side, food is good, services are good, the bathroom is just about okay.
