Needed a place to stay overnight, internet access was a must. The hotel did not offer breakfast, but that was OK with me. The Morrissons' supermarket was around the corner and was open until 10 pm on working days. The room had a coffee maker that was useful for boiling water for making instant noodles. Stratford station was about 8 min walk away, more or less straight line, if you go through Stratford mall. Bus to Stansted airport left also conveniently from Stratford station.

Frosty reception”
I frequently stay in hotels and never have to show the 'photo ID' demanded, except when booking through Agoda! Usually this is a trivial irritation, but it was this time. As I don't drive and am not abroad I do not carry a photo driving licence or passport. Usually, my work ID is good enough (I have a Personal [publican's] Licence, issued by the council with photo) but the receptionist made it clear she didn't like it. Lot of to-ing and fro-ing. Why? I had the booking voucher printout, ID and card booked in. Prepaid! Why would anyone be masquerading as me in a budget hotel in Stratford anyway?

Convenient and less costly”
the hotel is relatively conveniently located: a few minutes walk from a bus stop. also, it takes about thirty minutes, by using central or jubilee line, to the central area of london. there are some supermarkets and shopping centers nearby. the room is small, but clean and quiet. the staff workers were all kind and friendly. although the equipment in the room was not sufficient, some materials, such as, soup, shampoo, and drier were, at my request, provided. breakfast is optional service, which costs 2.5 gbp. on the whole, this hotel is suitable to tourists who wish to stay comfortably at lower accommodation fees.

Overall a pleasant and peaceful stay”
On the first night, I spotted3 large spiders crawling around the room from the ceiling to the bed. When I was moved to another room the second night, again I found a large spider on the ceiling which the staff helped me remove. But since then, no more spiders, I enjoyed peace for the rest of my stay in the hotel with good service, TV, internet, attached bathroom and heater. But there was no proper desk with chair nor a mini-fridge which many other hotels provide in each room. There was also no proper laundry service in the hotel or a good laundry shop nearby.

Cheap hostel”
hostel was well situated: 10 minutes from startford subway, from which you can easily go to new business areas (docks) and to the center. room was small but clean. service was ok, only problem was that i had to wait once for 20 minutes before finding someone at the reception.

I didn't expect much for the cheap room rate, but the conditions of the room wad still appalling. The room was so small that you don't really have any space left besides the bed. It was noisy at night with constant slamming of doors and squeaky footsteps. They were very loud and at some point I thought someone was walking inside my room. If all of these were still understandable for the budget, there was the stinky duvet that really ruins your night...

The room was terribly noisy as the people either below or in the other room in a separate building were very noisy. There music very loud and one could hear their entire conversation evrn though they were not shouting. I could not get to sleep. The manager on duty was very helpful when I complained at the desk. The table in the room needed a coat of paint and the tiles in the bathroom could do with the attention.

Basic hotel-just ok for spending a night to sleep”
Reached early at the hotel, not allowed to check in until 2 p.m. Leave the luggage at the hotel but need to pay a fee though we are the guest of the hotel. They should allow free storage of luggage for hotel guest .

cheap but i guess you get what you pay for!”
this hotel is very budget! the pillows are thin, the bathroom very basic! light fitting were hanging from the ceiling and there was open toiletries in the bathroom! with a little work it could be ok to sleep in but we just didnt bother sleeping their and stayed out all night in the local casino which was the only plus point, the location.
