The Aqua Garden," an outdoor hot spring facility on the 2nd floor of Suginoi Palace, will be closed for renovation work during the following dates.

The daily "Fountain Show" will also be suspended.

Business hotel with lot of faciliies”
First time in Suginoi and surprised with crowded people. We took free suginoi shuttle bus from Beppu train station. Hotel is very big (3 buildings with free shutlle between building). We stayed in 'Main Building Mountain View Twin Room'. We love the room as it's very new, large and comfort twin beds. Mountain view is nice. Big pool and big outdoor onsen. Lot of activites and game stations. Dinner and Breakfast need to wait for long queue, so need to be patient. It should be perfect if you bring children. But if you are looking for the quiet place to relax, maybe try other places.

Nice buffet dinner and great view”
A very huge hotel comes with lots of entertainment and onsens. Got a room that facing the mountain view but I would advise to get a room facing the seaview. The seaview is super nice. Dinner buffet was another delight. Super delicious with unlimited fresh sashimi, lamb, beef etc. Even, half way during our dining, there were some musical performances by a group of Caucasians came in and sang some beautiful songs. You can choose your own tables either indoor or outdoor. There is a public large onsen pool (aqua garden) that can wear swimming attire while enjoying your hot bath and watching the 3D water show. Don't forget to try their naked onsen after the public large pool as you were blessed with a magnificent night view! Super nice view! The only drawback was one of the staff (Indian or sri Lankan) was a wee bit rude as he stopped us while we were about to enter the hotel from shuttle bus, to check in by 3pm. We have to tell him that we were due for check in! He should have welcome us and asked how can I help you. The way he stopped us from entering was very rude cos every customers came into the hotel either they were a genuine hotel guest or just merely come for a visit. Shouldn't be treated like not welcome! I would suggest to teach the staff for better and friendly approach! It did spoil my mood

The best seafood buffet I have tried out in Japan: unlimited supply of a lot of high quality food: grilled big king crab legs , foie gras, sashimi, (real)crab meat porridge, and many more. The view from spa/hot spring is very beautiful. My son like playing bowling (they provide one free game for hotel guest). Breakfast is good as well. I should have stayed there more than 1 day.

Booked one day for Japanese style room with dinner and breakfast. Hotel facilities good and staff/service r good too. However, large hotel making it too crowded and noisy all around, including the onsen and all facilities. Hotel is very suitable for kids and family trip, not quite an acceptable environment for couples. Expected Japanese style dinner but find out only buffet and foods are not that nice, just soso and numerous choice of foods. Mattress r too hard and pillow r too low. Low quality beddings and poor sleep due to it. If u have kids, I recommend this hotel as this must make them a lots of fun. But if u r couples, this hotel definitely not ur choice

Excellent hotel. We stayed in Hana building with ocean view room - fantastic. If you can stay in Hana building it is more conveniently located for hotel amenities compared to the other buildings. Shuttle service is a great feature. Only downside was the buffet selection didn’t seem to change at all, however we only stayed 3 nights so could just be we didn’t stay long enough. Lots of choices, but not overly vegan friendly for those that care about this (mostly salad, fruit, bread, rice). Was nice to have both breakfast and dinner included though - you could easily just spend a couple days without even leaving the hotel as there is so much to do.

Amazing hotel with amenities! ”
Staff was easy to communicate with at the front desk and at the dining place. The hotel gave us a free game per person for bowling but communication was a bit more difficult there. The aqua garden and the directions to it was a bit confusing too as we had to change on the 3F and then walk back down a set of long stairs to get to the pool.
