Surprisingly Excellent”
I did not had great expectations on Sumitel and blocked it as i could not find Yashashree Mall road hotel. But the experience is amazingly good. Breakfast had lot of options. Quality of service is upto a 5 star Hotel. On the day of check out we had to depart at 4:15AM. They offered packed breakfast for us which is highly helpful.

Exceptional”
It was an absolute delight to stay at Sumitel, loved each and everything about this hotel. We decided to extend our stay by a day to rest and relax. The best part was their staffs, they were so prompt in their services be it house keeping or front desk or restaurant. The rooms are very spacious for little ones to move around, TV was quite big as compared to other hotels, well lighted rooms with 24 hrs hot water in taps. They also had a heater in the room to beat the cold weather. They have a good breakfast spread and items weren’t repeated in our 3 days stay. Amazing hospitality. Chef Suren Tamang has magical powers who took us to a world tour by sitting in Darjeeling, his culinary skills are unmatched, the Sushi with pickled ginger and wasabi, Nasi Goreng rice, Khow Suey, Korean Fried chicken, momo in soup are a must try. I read some negative reviews before booking the hotel, had to do it because it was a last minute plan. But let me tell you honestly, those comments were so very misleading, I didn’t find a single reason to grade them down.- In case we get to go to Darjeeling again, we will certainly choose to stay with Sumitel.

Amazing experience ”
Hotel is superb.. Location is superb.. The only drawback is that its situated in narrow lane so no car can come there. You need to walk till the hotel. Also reception is on 3rd floor and lift is under construction. Would not recommend for elderly people. Services, breakfast, rooms are really good.

Hotel rooms are excellent and well maintained. Only issue is lift not yet ready and located in the middle of market area. Both approach roads are very narrow and garbage thrown at night. Hotel is situated on top of shopping complex. Food is however very good especially the breakfast spread. 20 mins walking to mall.

everything was okay except 1) location is in narrow lane and we have to move with luggage for 500m. 2) Lift is under construction so we have to climb 3 floor to reach reception 3) no mountain view as it is sourrounde by other hotels and property. As a budget hotel the facilities are superb. Staff is very polite and courteous. immediately respond to our queries and breakfast is okay. premium 3 bed room has one double bed and one single bed so space is limited. for couple it is worth recommendind.

Staffs were very good but the service were very slow. The location is not great but the rooms are good, spacious. I have taken the Family room which have 2 queen beds. Food is good but little expensive. Best to have it outside. Rest are fine. Staffs are courteous.

You should Not promote this property through your app. I stayed here for 4 nights And for One And half night I spent under darkness without electricity whereas the area surrounding the hotel was fully electrified. It is quite unusual

High rise with No lift”
Initial 3 floors are used as shops purpose.. Reception is in 4th floors rooms are in 5-6 th floors, hotel restaurant is in 1st floor with No lift inside the building.. you would need to take stairs from -1 to 6th floor

The location of the hotel is very bad, every where it is dirty. Room is ok ok.....No nature view, staff are also ok...As per cost very bad stay. Its better to explore other hotel options.

Good rooms/ unprofessional travel desk ”
This was the costliest hotel of my 9 day tour of Sikkim. + Darjeeling tour Positive: Family room is very spacious and compfertable. Close to Mall road. Negatives: As mentioned in other reviews you will have to drag your luggage through crowded lane on your own at the time of check in, there is no direct access for car to Hotel entrance. Travel desk was very unprofessional , avoid. I had booked day tour through them in advance, at the time of booking they asked me to pay additional charges (700 rs) to pick up from Toy train station. Later I realised that this station is 5 min walk away from hotel. When questioned answer i got was more intresting than their rates. Overall expirience with Darjeeling itself was not good because it is overcrowded. It has lost its glory due to crowded roads and infinite number of cars and shops everywhere.

Reception is on 3 floor and Lift is still under construction, so you will have to climb all the way with bags. Hotel is located in Dingy Lanes not accessible to cars and no one to carry your bags to hotel. Housekeeping is pathetic, no one bothers to answer your calls. Even if they hear the complaint nothing is done to rectify it. Bathroom Towels are already wearing out. The rooms are Ok, hotel is new but badly managed.
