Unforgettable”

It was my first solo trip and first visit to Japan and I've already missed it! Staffs are very lovely and helpful! The first day I emailed due to unexpected flight delay, they let me delay check in time one hour later. There was a morning that I had bad mood (from last night's lost way and stomach problem). Tried to ask a staff about ramen casually with my poor Japanese, but I might turned out to be rude, she answered patiently and I forgot to say the greetings as when Japanese people going out, even a bye. Yet they still did. I felt bad and heart-warmed at the same time (Thank you, Ichiran ramen was awesome!), couldn't stay long but I imagine you'd have a wonderful day in Osaka just hanging out with them alone. Also they'd silently change your towels like ninja and clean the shower few times a day, so you can't really blame them if still seeing something you don't like. In terms of facilities, it's an open space for many beds in entirely floor (I usually come back very late, so if you see bad reviews about noise around sep. 14-18, that'd prob. be me :/), there are curtains as doors which you can hear people whispering or outside door sounds. I suggest guesthouse could sell ear plugs or bring your own. I stayed at 2nd floor and there was a long desk with chairs, water heater next to the beds, but you'll have to fill the water at 1st floor which opened until 10 pm. Tho there are many vending machines outside 24hr. or shower water which I drank (shower room is awesome!). There's also a washing/drying machine. 3rd floor has a balcony for smoking area (I didn't go up there so don't really know about it or 1st floor room). The interior is beautiful overall. Wish the staffs and guesthouse all the best and I'd definitely love to stay there again!

Good location.5 mins from JR Tamatsukuri station station.Friendly staff and clean environment.There is a fringe u can use but no kitchen. 3 mins to 711 and a supermarket. Before check in and after check out u can put ur luggage at reception for free. Ask the staff they will tell u the traffic and traveling information. Had a wonderful stay in Sun Village.High recommend.

The building was old but very well kept, staff are super friendly! I met Tommy and took me out to show me around Osaka. I loved the rooms it felt very private because of all the curtains. Washrooms are always cleaned and each room has AC and a heating.

Hostel very clean, near to Tamatsukuri train station. Near to 7e also. Staff very helpful, they guide me to buy tourist simcard, and their manager also help me to reach Minoh waterfall by his car.

Everything is good..only to problem with train routes..sometimes not understand the route..need to study more about train route..but really enjoy in japan with the facilities and japan people very helpfull and polite.

Superb stay! made a lot of friends during my stay including the staff Tommy and Hikaru! who are both so good at speaking English. I will definitely stay here again. Mata na tomodachi!

I don't know what everyone is raving about in the review section of this hotel. I had a COMPLETELY TERRIBLE experience with this hotel. First of all, I chose this place because I was lead to believe that the quality and service is good or at least decent since it's cheap. It was the complete opposite when I arrived. In the reception, the door was locked and no one was there. I tried ringing the doorbell several times, no answer. I tried calling and only then did the staff came out. He then led me to where the rooms are. When I got to the room, he just pointed my bed and asked me if I have any questions. It felt weird since he didn't even explain anything else and just expected me to understand how things are. I didn't have initial questions so I dismissed him. While looking around the room, there was a switch and I thought it was the lights. I then got a call from the staff and since he was talking in Japanese, I didn't understand a thing. The common dining area was very dirty. The fridge seems worn out and should be replaced. The bathrooms were not well maintained. There seems to be only one AC that was warming up the whole floor. It was cold. What really pissed me off was that the staff did not provide me a towel. I tried looking around to see where it might be, but none. I needed to shower but I don't have a towel!!! The staff was hard to reach. I tried calling and when he answered, he can't seem to hear me. I'm lucky I had my own towel but it was wet. I just bear with it because I badly need to shower, and the staff here is so useless. This whole experience was annoying and I left the next morning as soon as I can. Do not ever book this place!

Basic hostel”

Pros: Near JR train station, clean, simple. Towel provided and being replaced everyday. Convenient for local food and relaxation. Cons: Structure is not that strategic as the bed i stay is far from aircond as few times during my sleep i was awake due to hot temperature even the aircond had turned on. Facilities is clean but its simple. No common area like sofa or an area for every guest to gather around. Need ourselves to put on the bed sheet, blanket cover and take off while check out. Overally:it is good enough for short stay.
