Nice Hotel. Friendly & helpful staffs. Recommended. ”
It was a wonderful 1 night stay for us. The room is spacious and clean with balcony. Wilson and his team did a fantastic job. Always ready to assist us with our many questions. They prepared some snacks & water for us as we checked out from the hotel. The hotel have a lovely & cosy cafe at level 9 which serve a good varieties of food with live station (noodle and egg station). We definelty enjoyed our stay in Sunny Mountain Hotel. Thumb up!

The hotel was lovely but was extremely cold throughout due to a lack of heating!

Cozy but bed too soft”
The environment especially the restaurant for breakfast is worth mentioning. However, the bed is too soft that you would sink too deep when sleeping.

Nice Hotel, bad timing”
When foreign tourists are not around the quality of the service drops drastically! That's even the welcome msg from the manager... Quite a pity as the location seemed very convenient and the hotel seemed nice and cozy! In reality: swimming pool not working, dining room colder than outside, booked a room with view, got a room with "wall" view. At the reception there was a nice fire place, but barely burning. Breakfast cold and not so tasty (a part from the Pho). Nevertheless staff was friendly and the location is few steps from the center. I'm sure that coming in a different season could be better, but the manager should have sent a msg in advance.

Old and smelly hotel”
Not a good place to stay within 40$ budget Old hotel, poor breakfast with a very few selection (rice, nodle, soup, no egg, no bread ...) Obsolete equipments, no bathtub as mentioned on Agoda. Not very friendly staff In conclusion 2-3*

Worst Hotel Ever”
My booking had request "Arrival Time 5:00 - 6:00". I received a message from this hotel "Dear Guest, We are pleased to inform you that your special request has been received and approved. Best Regards". When my family (2 children) arrived at 5:30, there was no reception. A guy said they don't permit early checking and asked me call his manager. The manager said they did not send message, contact agoda if any complains. We had to find another hotel for my children sleeping until 12:00 and return. When checking out, the reception ask me pay $2.5 for compensation. I didn't understand and ask about this amount. She show me the towel with very small dirty. although their towels were very rough. I have stayed at many hotels around the word and this is the first time I met the worst hotel like this.

New hotel, great location”
We were actually glad that we ended up staying at the Sunny Mountain. We usually find a new, lower star hotel beats a 5 star hotel in less travelled destinations. We were upgraded to the suite The suite is very spacious, comfortable and in excellent conditions. Room has excellent view; hotel is in the town center for easy access to shops and restaurants. Nice and friendly staff. Seemed understaffed or not as well prepared for when the hotel is at full capacity. I wasn't able to get much of their attention for travel info.

Magical! Enjoyed it so much we'd like to return.”
Very pleasant. Friendly reception staff. In-house tour facilitator coordinated day treks for us. English speaking guides, who were extrememly informative about local agriculture, customs of the minority tribal groups within the SaPa mountain region, places of interest (waterfalls, rivers), textiles, & advice regarding reasonable prices for souvenier items. Colourful markets, colourful people. Comfortably cooler atmosphere at a higher altitude. Lovely, arty, handicraft village set into a mountainside, high above the clouds.

alpine style hotel at ideal location”
Wonderful hotel in beautiful Sapa. It is in the best part of town: central, but still quiet. And if you stay on the backside of the building you will be treated with the most magnificent view over the valley (especially amazing at sunrise). Very cosy, light wood interior design. Reminiscent of Alpine or Scandinavian mountain cabins. Really the only complaint I have is when new tour groups arrive and the lobby is a bit hectic for half an hour. Highly recommended. THE place to stay in Sapa.

Unforgettable Stay...Super Clean & Value for Money”
We stayed for a night and got a free upgraded room to suite. The room was super clean, bed was comfortable, complete with basic amenities such as heater, coffee maker, toiletries etc. Will come back to Sunny Mountain if we visit Sapa again.

Stay was very comfortable”
Very comfortable stay at the Sunny Mountain Hotel. If there was any complaint at all it was that we actually booked the hotel because it had a swimming pool however no one thought to advise us that the pool was actually not functioning this was a little disappointing and an oversight by hotel staff not to advise us in advance, as we were expecting to be able to return to the hotel after a long day trekking to relax and take a swim

Comfortable with a delicious breakfast!”
We stayed only one night, but we had a great stay at the Sunny Mountain Hotel. Beds were nice, atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff's English was pretty good. The only problem was that we couldn't get the internet to work. It did work in the lobby though.

We are very happy to have stayed in sunny mountain. Staffs are friendly especially reception. Most of the staffs at reception know n understand English. Mr Sam is very helpful to us during our stay. Room is big n our room is facing the mountains. we didn’t use any facilities so couldn’t comment much.

Wonderful hotel, good location and superb rooms”
I was not expecting much from the hotel located in Sapa, and to my surprise, the hotel was quaint and the service crew were very approachable, always on the ball to serve us. Rooms nonetheless was one of the best stay I had during my vacation. The rooms were clean, beds were very comfy especially after a day of trekking and the rooms comes with a view.

Great location, but very cold!”
we stayed at the sunny mountain for five nights over new year. we enjoyed our stay very much. we loved the location - sapa is a really nice town and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. the main drawback of the hotel, though, was the cold! we knew the weather would be chilly, but we expected the hotel to be geared up for it and for it to be warm indoors - it wasn't! we had to wear outdoor coats and scarves when having breakfast! we also had to time our breakfast carefully - going to the restaurant at the 'peak' time of 8am meant that there was little available to eat or drink and there was nowhere to sit. you should also be aware that the swimming pool in the hotel bears no resemblance to the one featured on agoda. when we drew this to the attention of hotel staff, they appeared not to understand. we didn't use the small, square pool which the hotel has because it was too cold.

Spacious room + friendly staff”
we have a night stay in Sunny Mountain and happy with the room, it is quite spacious and cleanliness perhaps i would say not too bad. About 7/10. Anyway, the one poor thing over our stay is we missed the breakfast hours as the breakfast starts on 630am to 9am. By the time we wake up, we missed the breakfast hours. Suggest to host the breakfast until 10am. The staff is friendly and thoughtfulness enough in helping us to book taxi to go Fansipan and not to forget to pack some food for us during our journey back to Hanoi. Great job!
