Great Bargain for Beach Front All-Inclusive”
Sunscape Splash is probably about a 3 out of 5 stars in terms of hotels and US standards. That being said, it can be a real bargain for those wanting a beach front all-inclusive. For the price we paid via Agoda, we would definitely recommend those hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

My first time staying here and mainly stayed here due to a family wedding & it being one of the listed hotels to stay at. Surprisingly quite big grounds, some staff are really lovely and others not so much but I guess that happens wherever you go. There’s a lot for children to do with it having the water slide. It’s great they have 24hour all inclusive drinks. My only areas of critique would be the food options could have varied a lot more - their menu skipped quite a few Jamaican staples such as plantain (never on the menu), boiled/fried dumpling (on the menu 1 time and depending on the capacity of the hotel determined the amount of food they served which I feel is not fair to those staying at the resort as we pay the same money others do so why should we be given the short hand just because your rooms are not all booked up. This also fed through to their late night grill which is supposed to be open every night from 10pm - 3am but this soon closed due to their capacity not being high enough (in their words) but then there were times where guests were hungry and were left with nothing to eat except a few cookies and cakes in the cafe. A few complaints about the service and food had to be made to a few managers on more than 1 occasion for something to be done about it. I myself do not eat meat and am lactose intolerant and so I struggled with some food choices as most of the vegetarian options were all dairy based (quiche, pastas in cream sauces, creamy mashed potato etc. etc.) so I did have to make a few special requests which if you speak to the right staff member in the main restaurant they are very accommodating whereas others will tell you no with a straight face so it all goes on how you speak to them and approach them - this determines the response you get from them. Overall I did enjoy my stay here would I stay here again? Yes. Will I stay here on my next visit? No, I will be trying somewhere else. The location also is in the middle of nowhere and so if you

Would stay here again ”
I loved this hotel. I got a free upgrade. The staff are polite, courteous, friendly, approachable and are all too welling to help, I only had to ask. The Staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make your stay special. The staff work hard and earn/ and deserving of their tips. Food was good with plenty of choice. The buffet restaurant was not open every night which left some people at a loss. I love the variety of coffee and goodies in the coffee ship. I love the bar in the middle of the swimming pool. The rooms are very cold (A/C too cold for me) and was hard to regulate. I requested a blanket to keep me warm at night. Could not enjoy the the beach as there were A LOT of Jelly fish on the beach shore and in the water.

Fab Holiday Jamica 2018”
Had an Amazing time at the Sunscape Splash --- All the Staff were brilliant and so Friendly especially Jenisha Scott in Concierge, She was Brilliant-- helped us get the room types we had paid for , and helped a cake for my Husbands BDay and just kept checking we were okay everyday....Hotel was clean and Food choice not to Bad, especially as our group were all Vegetarians. Only a few Bad point is that we found it was quite a distance to some of the main Attractions like Bob Marley and Dunns River Falls, but otherwise Fab Location. And The Only Other Downside was that we could not really do much Sea Swimming as lots of Jelly Fishes very near the Shore and to scared to go in :(

Not Worth It”
This resort has great potential given its location and layout but it just doesn’t deliver. It boils down to management on two levels. Firstly, the place has cheap versions of everything. Cheap plastic cups at bars and restaurants, cheap cuts of meat and fish, cheap pillows in the bedrooms, etc. Upgrading these is critical when you have a $500+ price point per night for guests. Secondly, things that could run more efficiently—like Portofino, their Italian restaurant—don’t given management’s absence of oversight. When guests are looking for a more upscale dining experience than the buffet, they shouldn’t have to wait 40 minutes for a table or 20 minutes for their entrees, especially when there are obviously open tables and a very limited menu that shouldn’t overburden the cooking staff. I enjoyed the beaches and the staff was largely nice but this hotel can improve a lot with the quality of their food, rooms, and the like to go from ok (at best) to good or great.

Only critique I would have is I had booked an Ocean view room , only to be informed on arrival that all Ocean view rooms have partial views of the Ocean. If I wanted a full view, then I needed to have booked an Ocean Front room. So please be aware of this when booking. Other than that it is a 3* hotel with all the facilities you would expect of this star rating. It’s close to the airport and short taxi drive to the local crafts market, Pier One, Hip Strip and Margaritaville. Other famous attractions you can book via a tour company or through the hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and considered it to be safe as a lone female traveller. Staff are friendly and most will go out of their way to accommodate you, so be sure to have plenty of 1$ notes to tip them for their service as this is greatly appreciated due to the low wages they are paid.

Don't waste your money”
Check in was SUPER SLOW, and had to wait a further hour before our room was ready. Got food poision, there was small flies on the fruits in the morning as all cold food is left uncovered. The food became repetitive and bland. The second week I stopped eating in the hotel. Lift took forever to arrive and at one point only one was working. The room key keot de-activating which meant waiting in a long queue to re-activate. The housekeeper often forgot to leave flannels or towels. Your limited on your water in the mini fridge, and the gate security can be annoying as EVERYTIME u go out or come in they ask the same thing. I would never stay here again even if it was free.

Good price, rude staff”
50% of the staff were rude and acted like you were bothering them when you asked a question. Talked into a "timeshare" presentation which was supposed to be 90 minutes but took hours. I was never given the coupons they offered to the other guests and was not told about the available amenities. It took about 55 minutes for me to check-in because they couldn't find my reservation and I was told Agoda cancelled it. Only saw one bug at this location, problem was it was in the dining area. Great entertainment!! Customer service was lacking so for that I would not recommend to a friend. I would recommend to the budget conscious who want a great value for the price paid.

The resort need major remodeling. I was very disappointed when i got there. The rooms need hot shower fixed. Several time i tried to take a shower and no hot water or very little that you hardly feel it. They really need to shot it down for few months and remodel the entire place..Aesthetics is very important in a resort or any facility.

Satisfactory if it's your first time in the area. The grounds are beautiful and the place was clean. If your an avid traveler you may find the food just ok. Often on the cold side and not a huge variety. Pool closes early and not much for activities in the evening
