Friendly staff, great location ”
From the moment I walked in the door, the Sur Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was able to walk most every where in town. Especially nice was the coffee and dates in the lobby every time i walked in the door.

the staff were wonderful, friedly and helpful. the hotel is right in the middle of the souk so it is very lively and atmospheric at night without it being too noisy. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Sur. You can walk on the corniche at sunset.

Better than expected...”
i had heard some bad things about the place before my arrival (noisy, unclean,...) yet ended up being pleasantly surprised with the hotel. it's definitely good value for oman, its central location is great, there's parking right out in front, and the room was spacious and clean. i was happy with my stay there.

Good location, good price, bathroom could be better, loud”
directly in the city centre of Sur, for one cheap night ok, bathroom smelled strange, a little cockroach in the room, coffee and dates for welcome, friendly staff, helped carrying my heavy baggage

Excellent choice in Sur”
The hotel is right in the centre of town so it provides choice of dining in the many nearby restaurants - which is needed as there is nothing in the hotel itself. Excellent management proved very helpful for sightseeing.

Decent hotel”
The hotel was very simple, but that is what you should expect for the low cost. The only challenge was getting the tv to work, but the staff came up and helped when I asked them. I didn't try the breakfast if they offer one.

Reasonably clean and comfortable, this is an excellent place for a stopover on the way to the turtle reserve or the desert dunes. The facilities are not great, but that is expected in this price range. The location is excellent: you are close to shops and restaurants and you can easily get a parking space nearby.

very friendly staff but small rooms and terrible mattresses”
the hotel is in a good location, there's free parking. we were welcome by extremely friendly staff who helped us also ordering food and finding something at the suq. the room though was very small, there was almost no space to walk, there was no fresh air and we couldn't sleep because of the mattresses. the bathroom was easily flooded as well.

Arrived pretty early from Raz Al Jinz and I was allowed to check in without question. The room was ok though looking a bit aged but everything was in order. The ONTC bus station is just a minute's walk from here.

Not worth the money”
The hotel was clean, but outdated and not in the best condition. The bed was not very comfortable, and there was a lot of street noise depending on the location of the room. The shower was in the middle of the bathroom with no curtain, so water goes all over the bathroom. None of this really bothers me, but it's simply not worth the prices they charge. Basically, it's a one star hotel at three star prices. Staff was friendly and the location was good.

Spent 2 nights here, had a pleasant stay. The manager was really helpful, he gave us advice to rent a car versus take a tour to see the Wadis, we saved a lot of money and had a better experience this way. Free wifi too!
