this was the first hotel that I stayed in japan, greeted by a Caucasian during the check in. I really love the environment and service there. Especially the breakfast served. On the down side, the stairs is too narrow for kiasu traveler like me. Overall, great stay, great comfort and great for value.

Inexpensive, correct place to stay for a night”

Booked really last minute, were some problem with checking in, but managed at the end with the help of the boss. Room great and well air-conditioned: a blessing in summer! Cheap place compared to other accommodation in Tokyo.

i immediately felt at home when i entered the inn. it was my first hostel experience and i loved the sociable environment. i have never interacted so much with other guests and staff. i would give up the privacy of i western style hotel for the social aspect of a hostel any day. any question was answered and the free maps rule!

We stayed here for several nights. The hostel is very nice, and our room was quite nice. It is generally sort of clean, we did notice a weird distinct odor in our room, which bothered us a little, but was a very minor issue. The walls were very thin, you can hear everything from the common room. The sink and mirror was outside in the common room which was strange. The showers and toilet were all separate. We tried to do laundry but the dryer did not dry our clothes at all. However, the staff was very helpful which we appreciated. Overall, we had a good stay, but will look into different options for next time.

For me , i ve never reviewed the accommodation where i stayed . However for this place , i must .... 1) i came to Japan around 9pm in autumn . it is very dark at night. and that night the typhoon has came to Japan . rainy and windy. when i went to the hotel at 10.30. there is a sign published on the door of the hotel "Dear guest Your booking has been moved to our annex builiding , just accord the street" . and there is a map reference which is not easy to understand" What i can do on that time ? i need to find it first. i 'd like to complain that when you change any information of your place , why don't you let your visitor know about the change. it took about 40 mins to find the right place on the map. i felt so tired that night. when i came to the hotel , the staff has not yet said "sorry or apologize to me" . i have not heard the kind of wording . it is disappoint. However i already paid , i have to stay even though i don't want to stay. In my opinion , i don't suggest anyone to stay at this place . 2) For the place , may be it is in process of building .the floor is very weak . when you walk , you should not walk that area. you may be the cause of floor damange . this is not the room i booked. if you are not ready for the guest to stay. you should not publish on agoda. Actually it waste my time to comment too. but for the benefits of any other guest , i have to . sorry . Hope my comments will help to any guest.

Cozy place, kind staff, convenient area”

I really like this place. I booked the dorm bed for 2 nights but they offer me the private room instead (which I don't know why but really appreciate it). The private room is warm and cozy with Japanese style (sleep on the futon). This hostel located on good area. There are many supermarket around and just 20 minutes walk to Asakusa temple. At first I think it's quite far from subway but actually it's really near and convenient. Around this area is not noisy. The staffs are so kind and willing to help. But for the shower, you have to pay 100 Yen/ 5 minutes. All in all, I would like to stay this place again.

Great place to stay”

It was a fantastic place to stay for me as a solo traveler. I enjoyed it. The best of three hotels I stayed at. It was inexpensive, japanese style sleeping arrangements. Friendly staff really helpful. Free ligh breakfast available. Location is good for just about everything.

Clean and cheap hostel near Minami-senju”

We had no problems during our stay. It's a pretty typical hostel experience. No complaints about the room, but we did have to pay for the shower (100 yen/5 mins) which wasn't the greatest. They did have free tea and coffee and had loaner umbrellas for rainy days!

With friendly staff, clean and quite place, a little bit far from Minami station but I prefer this because I compare with nearest Minami station hotel or guess house they really not allow friends to visit them event in lobby but Aizuya Inn is pretty nice with biggest heart to welcome friends hanging inside lobby to know each other's sharing their explore in Tokyo and others countries. Consider is cheaper budget room if you would like stay longer in Tokyo. Staff will going out having fun, bar with you. It was really fun I compare with so many hotel in Tokyo. I will go again when I go again in Tokyo.

It was quite nice, didn't like having to pay for showers. It was defiantly a really good hostel. It had a good comfortable vibe. We had two massive groups come in on the last days we were there and take over everything. It was a tad small at times and I found myself having to shove past people when trying to go to the toilet, so privacy was a minor issue.

Great place to stay in north Tokyo”

I had a really nice stay. Everyone there was friendly. Inn keepers were very friendly! Small, but very affordable! Showers are 100 yen for 5 minutes (but this is plenty). Bathrooms are a bit cramped if you're tall (but so is the rest of Tokyo!). Overall I had a really nice stay!

the aizuya was a great place to stay with lovely japanese styled room friendly helpful staff and was walking distance from the train station. easy to get to anywhere in tokyo. all in all i was extremely happy with my stay and would stay again.

It pays the distance walk to subway, marvellous clean hotel with great kitchen facilities. Fit into a budgeted travel. appreciate their helpful staff. Location within Taito area, an advantage to view the locals lifestyles. Renting bicycle to move around is best choice. Arigato.

Nice place”

Nice place. The lady on the front desk when we arrived was abit of a cow but she was not there long. Had a small kitchen and the internet was free. you had to pay for a shower 100 yen but if you turn the water off the count down timer will stop. They had a laundry so you could wash your cothes. The location is also good, near asakusa temple.

Friendly,Internet free can play in bed room,in front of Aizuya Inn can see The Japan sky tree new sightseeing of Tokyo and Tallest tower in the world this moment.at loby have free PC for internet, b ut kitchen too small, bed room is ok not too small for asain two persons,clean toilet and shower room but in shower room you need to use 100Yen to shower in 5 minutes,

You can walk to Asakusa. Although it takes about 30minutes... the room was good. not nice but enough to sleep. for size of the single room, about 2 girls might stay in one single room. you can use Wifi. They offered breakfast which is consisted of 2 loaf of bread and jam (delicious) and miso soup, orange juice. It's not fascinating but will make you feel refreshed. the staff was nice and gave me lots of maps and information.

Comfortable budget stay, kind and helpful staff”

i thought that i had made a review weeks ago about the aizuya inn. now i found that i still can make another reviews...so i loved to say again that aizuya inn is a good place to stay for budget/solo travelers. although some people said that the location maybe a bit far away from the city center,getting around by public transport is very convenient. within 30 minutes, you can go to the cbd by train.

we stayed for two nights. room were clean. we had to unfold our tatami mats oursleves no room services. very basic, good for travelling light. have to share tiolets, bathroom and washroom. there was complimentary coffee and tea but cups was not sufficiently placed for use. i was allocated the 2nd. floor room and had to climb up and down each time you need to go out or have a free coffee or sit down at the ground floor resting area. staircase narrow and difficult to bring up or down with large luggages. had to leave yen for safe deposit of our key but this amount is refunded back upon leaving. bathing there is a charge of yen (5 mins) shower. so be prepared to have some 100 yen coin.
