Minimalist hostel in a nice location”
This hostel is 2mins away from Odakiyu Line and 5mins from Chiyoda Line. Nice neighborhood with a Danish Bakery across the cafe (the grandma selling there is too cute!). The cafe also serve really good matcha latte (add an espresso shot!). I had it 3 times during my 3-day stay! Too bad they didn’t have almond milk that time. Hostel is clean and has a minimalist design. Everything is white - walls, door, bathroom, even your pod. It looks and feels clean. You get what you just need!

The latest time we can check in is 1am and we were running late as we had issues getting to the hostel as we landed at the airport late and trains don't operate after midnight. We contacted the host and asked him to wait for us. He was happy to do so and when we arrived at about 1.15am, he was happy to greet us and welcomed us warmly. He even helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. We really appreciate that he waited for us even though it was so late and greeted us kindly and were patient with us when we arrived. Great location. 5 minute walk to 2 different subway stations, depending which line you need. Very clean. There's 4 toilets and 2 showers for the entire floor (around 20 people), and they are cleaned really well every day. Never had to wait long for showers. Staff were friendly.

Location is perfect - 5 min walk from Yoyogi park, 15 min from central Harajuku and 20 min from central Shibuya. Lots of coffee, cafes and bars that are more local (as opposed to touristy and crowded). Next to the train station. Staff were very friendly and facilities very good. I would definitely stay here again! Cafe on bottom level is nice to work in.

The only issue I had was not being able to choose a top or bottom bunk! Although I didn’t ask, mostly because I didn’t realize. I I was nervous using the ladder to my bed as I felt unstable. Otherwise the facility is great! Clean, great location and helpful staff.

Minimal, contemporary, cool stay in Tokyo”
Almond was a great stay! Location was great. Loved the vibe, very cool, contemporary, artsy/hipster area just outside the main Shibuya city. 2 mins from 2 different subway stops which connected us to all of Tokyo. I was SO impressed with check in - super efficient process, a run through of everything we needed to know on an info sheet which we could keep with us during our stay. Beautiful cafe space downstairs where reception and staff are. The hostel entrance is actually separate from the cafe, around the corner, so you do have to go outside to enter the lounge/cafe hang out space, but we didn't find this an inconvenience at all. Our dorm was 24 beds, but it didn't feel too full at all. Space is so efficiently used, clean, minimal and beautiful. Space for your suitcases to lock in etc. One thing we missed was a kitchen space - there is no fridge, sink, pantries, dishes so this did mean buying a bit more food out or having to ask the cafe for cutlery etc. Amazing stay over all!

Nice and clean environment. Just no lift there have to be careful when carrying the luagge up and down the stairs is quite steep. Do remember to get your own padlock if not you have to rent which is not worth the price. Oh ya, using of hair dryer have to be before 11pm. So if you intend to hang around late, you cannot use it. Staff are friendly and helpful

The place is great, I've stayed here a few times. The last time I was awoken by multiple people during the night coming in at different times. If you can wear ear plugs, use them.

Nice, quaint hostel but amenities need improvement”
Pros: - Love the coffee shop! Great coffee and ambiance! Nice place to chill. - Very accommodating staff. - Very accessible location. There is a bus stop that gets you to downtown Shibuya just behind the hostel and the train station is only a 5 mins walk away. Cons: - Shower doesn't seem to have enough cold water. Showers got too hot and I came out a boiled lobster. - Can be difficult to go up to your room if you have heavy suitcases. They have no elevators so you have to carry your suitcase up steep stairs.

Awesome cafe downstairs, chilled vibe and amazing coffee and food Women's dormitory was great, spacious, mostly quiet and looked clean Lovely dormitory design with plenty of privacy and space to store luggage The only downsides were that the duvet covers were not changed between guests, only corocoro and air freshener was used to 'freshen' the sheets. This is very gross especially considering that we are in the middle of Corona virus and people put the duvet on their body and face. I stayed in mixed dorm too for my last two nights, it was a crowded and very messy. The toilets smelled bad.

It was a great home base for the west side of Tokyo. Really convenient to travel to some of the more out-of-reach locations. HOWEVER, the women's dorm only has two showers for all the beds (30+). Just for some forewarning that you really need to think about when you're going to shower. Overall, I thought it was a nice hostel and I'd consider staying here again. I liked the cafe attached.

It was located in a not so crowded area of shibuya. We thought we had to take the train to go to shibuya or harajuku, but we walked everywhere! It was close to all the famous districts & if you need to take a train, there are 2 train stations nearby. The staff was okay, they knew english. The cleanliness was just okay too. But overall great stay!

Great location as its next to train station and nice hostel's cafe. Along the streets, you will find its surrounded with small shops and some eateries. Generally, the staffs i met were quite friendly, however the other 1 staff appeared to be discerning, he was only 'friendly and chatty' towards westerner guests only. The other downside to this hostel are the comfort of the bed was average. Very noisy as my bunk bed as it is near the toilets, in which i have specifically requested during booking to be near the windows. My request were not met.
