Great experience in Alva”
I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights and loved every minute of my stay. This is my first time staying in Alva. I was booked a river view room and so happy been upgraded to apartment and the room itself was spacious and clean. A contemporary design hotel and very attentive service. Staff were always welcoming. I’d like to give a special thanks to Fiona and Mandy at the front desk, very attentive and courteous. They went above and beyond to help me out. Dinner Buffet has a wide variety of food choices and also would like to special thanks to Leo with great service. I thoroughly enjoyed two nights of happiness, would be happy to return when my hubby's birthday and my daughter love the spa shower!! I was so impressed by the superb quality of my stay even I staying under the situation of Typhoon. Finally, I would like to thanks Ying from Housekeeping who passionate and professional helped us to clean up the room. I will definitely come back again and Alva is one of my favorite hotel in Hong Kong.

A very good staycation”
Although the hotel is not very close to MTR station, it makes the hotel become a city-resort hotel. The design of the hotel makes us very relaxing and we love the room. It has a great view of the river nearby and it looks spectacular since there are not much skyscraper nearby. Due to the COVID-19, many facilities were closed but they still offer free rental of bikes, which is very good alternative for someone who like sports. Though the restaurants are closed, they have offered delivery and the food are very amazing. However, it would be a bit difficult to search for food at late night since the restaurants nearby closed early. Overall, we love the stay and we would visit again when the facilities reopen again. Highly recommended for staycation.

My friend and I had a wonderful time staying in this hotel. We booked a room that had a river view. Quiet as we requested. The bed isn't that comfy. All other facilities are clean and new. There many staffs around the hotel that are helpful and energetics. We had booked the hotel bicycles for cycling around the riverside. I recommend this hotel to all people who desire to have a relax and simple night around Shatin.

Told the staff in advance that the staycation was for birthday celebration. The staff surprised us by upgrading our room to an apartment with river view. They responded swiftly to all our requests. The pool is super nice too. Most importantly the room was super clean and the bed was so comfy. Definitely would come back again in the future.

Best room you will stay in, full automated, super clean, best shower, comfy bed and on and on. Very relaxing, great food and friendly staff willing to go overboard. Everyone speaks good English and make sure you are welcomed. Did not experience pools or restaurants due to covid. But I will next time Thanks Alva, you are my new Hard Rock Hotel.

Newly built hotel. Fancy room, comfy bed. Swimming pool is decent. But no restaurants nearby (other than the hotel) so you have to take taxi or 20mins walk to shopping mall in Shek Mun for dinner. Otherwise it was a perfect journey.

First time staying in this hotel. We did early check in and we were lucky to be given a room. The pool when lights up in the evening is really pretty. There are free wifi and free bicycle to rent. Unfortunately due to Typhoon number 8. The food here is amazing particularly the Jspanese. If u stay here, currently they are offering 20% off food. The room is of reasonable size and amenities is great. They do give you 3 bottles of soft drinks free. Water: there is a water fountain to top up with no plastic bottles. Great idea. For late check out they only manage to extend it for an hour. Not a lot. The staff are very friendly. Great to run along the river front.

The most energetic and helpful crew I've ever met”
It is a pleasant surprise when you meet one genuinely helpful staff with a smile in a busy hotel, but there must be some magic in the team when almost EVERYONE did the same. It is not some sort of mandate because they are using (or allowed to) COMMON SENSE to help the tenants. From the booking staff who helped to sort out the room arrangement, to the cleaning staff who took a pair of child slipper for my daughter, and not to mention the AMAZING porter crew who helped us moved so many luggages during our stays. I highly recommend anyone who's looking for high quality, clean and smart hotel to stay. Special thanks to the hotel managers who took the feedback and act swiftly to ensure the experience of the stay. Keep it up ALVA team~

My third staycation here, this time I came with family , husband & 4 children (10 - 18 years). Got an upgrade for the "parents" room. All rooms are nice, modern design, very clean and comfortable. The water refilling station on every floor is great! Less plastic in the world! bicycles for rent are in good condition, staff is very friendly and motivated to help in any ways. Breakfast buffett has great variety, loved the bakery stuff (baguette and pastries!) We will be back!

Perfect getaway to rewind”
Stayed in January 2020, a couple months after opening so everything were still brand new and in great working condition. (Although a bit complicated to figure out at first, the showers were a-mazing - definitely makes up for the lack of bathtub.) Staff were happy to and eager to help. A short 5-ish minute walk to the closest eateries. Booked with breakfast included (for 3 days) and everything you would expect for the price - pastries, bread, egg bar, salad bar, noodle bar, western choices (chipolatas, ham, bacon, hashbrowns, make-your-own etc), chinese classics (congee, fried noodles, dimsum etc). Food was rarely empty with everything being replaced regularly. Definitely worth it if booking together with accommodation, but not sure if the variety would really have been worth the price when paying separately. No priority/quota for hotel guests for the lunch/dinner buffet which was disappointing, but gives us a reason to come back and try them next time.

Great for a solo break!”
I booked this hotel for a solo ‘workation’ as I was working in Sha Tin for the weekend. Perfect for a break from the city, but be aware that this hotel is relatively far from the city centre if thats important to you. I loved the room and decor - I stayed in a Twin Room on a high floor overlooking the river; the view was tranquil and peaceful. In my opinion, the vibe was young, stylish and environmentally conscious. Instead of water bottles, there is a water refill station on each floor. It was impeccably clean, the amenities were modern (SmartTV, iPad controller), the breakfast buffet was great and the restaurant itself was huge! The staff were lovely and very helpful. No room service but great take away meals and nibbles for purchase in the Lobby Lounge. I didn’t get to try any of the other F&B outlets and pool, but I plan to stay again and I’m looking forward to trying them. I can’t cycle, but bikes are available to rent (this was included with my room rate at the time of booking), which I think is fun. I would love to see more ‘Staycation’ style packages from this hotel because I think they would do them very well! 10/10 booking again. Thank you Alva!

Everything’s nice, neat and tidy. All the staff are nice and helpful. Good shuttle bus services. The hotel is also just 5-minute walk from Shek Mun Station. The best things are the pillows! They are so soft and comfortable. However, it will be better if the bathroom can be locked/the half transparent glass wall can be covered by something while somebody is using it.

Buffet breakfast is good with many choices from chinese dishes to western and japanese. The gym and pool are of good sizes and is pleasure to spent time. Nice in-room shower set with water jet function. Definitely will visit again.
