Amazing location!”
The hotel is located in Okaidou and Matsuyama castle. The bed was quite comfy as well so it made me feel well rested after a long day of cycling. They even have these bath salts that make you feel more refreshed. They might offer an upgrade upon checkin but do check the room first before agreeing since some rooms might not feel you are getting an upgrade.

It’s next to shopping street and department store. There are brandname stores in side. Parking is available with 1,200 yen fee per dat. It is locate at the center of traveling spots and very close to tram station.

Great location but with a confusing layout ”
The hotel is in a very nice, central location. However, the rooms are a bit old, specially in the annex side. They were still very comfortable, clean, and spacious. I considered the hotel overpriced as a result. When we first drove up, I was quite confused by the parking garage situation. We could see the front drop off location easily and ended up calling the hotel. Instead of directing us to the front to drop off our luggage, as we asked, the staff directed us to the parking garage. Having to drag 4 large suitcases around the underground garage trying to find the elevator left me quite irritated. The following day I went back down to my car. As I tried to enter the hall where the elevator was located, a person with “manager” on their name tag very rudely forced the door closed, locked it, and walked away. Apparently the elevator we had used was on the wedding hall side which was closed. It took some wandering around to find the way to our car. Other than that individual, the other staff members were exceptionally polite and helpful. I would recommend the hotel add signs that are helpful to guests keeping in mind that guests visit for short periods of time.

The location is great. The room was ok but I have stayed in better in Shikoku for $120 Canadian. The wifi wasn't working. I got in early and they wouldn't let me check in. I asked to check out later and they said they would charge me extra, about one third of what I paid for a few hours. So it didn't give me a warm and friendly experience.

The hotel is near Okaido Station (it's mainly a platform) for the Iyotetsu tram service. Most of the trams that run around the downtown part of the city passes through Okaido Station which makes it is super convenient and no need to remember which tram line number to use. In the area is the ropeway/gondola to Matsuyama Castle and a lot of food options in the Okaido Street promenade which are both about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Dogo Onsen is a 10-15 minute tram ride from the hotel. The tram is a flat 180 yen per ride. As an FYI, there are two parts to the hotel. I stayed in the Annex part which is older, is less expensive, but is still clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful when I checked in and allowed me to keep my suitcase for a few extra hours after checking out for no charge. The hotel is easy to get from the airport or by the local bus. I took the local bus from the airport. Similar to many bus services in Japan, the fare depends upon the distance from the original zone, so don't forget to grab the zone ticket when you first get on. I think the cost was approximately 510 yen and took about 40 minutes.

別館の清潔感はあるが暗い感じの部屋でした。昔は高級ホテルだったのだろうが設備更新されてなく時代遅れの部屋でした。ANAだったので予約しましたが安い理由がありました。立地はよいとこにあるので部屋が古いのをを気にしなければ良いと思います。

室内に加湿器が置かれていたのが有り難かったです。 入浴剤やホットアイマスク、寝る前のほうじ茶や朝スッキリ目覚めるアロマのティーバッグなどが置かれていて充実した時間を過ごせました。 好みの厚さの枕を頼めたり、アロマオイルを頼めたり出来ると枕元のパンフレットに書いてありました。

2部屋予約済みなのに、チェックイン時に本日は1部屋で私が予約していない別の日に1部屋の予約ですスタッフの返答。 確認しましたが本日は1部屋のみですと言い切られ、予約の画面を見たら やっと確認しますと他のスタッフに相談。 ご予約承っておりますとのこと。 その後も最初に対応したスタッフでチェックインの手続きしましたが、一言も謝罪無し。 誰しも間違いはあると思いますが 本来は予約画面を見せる前に 確認方法もあっただろうし、結局はスタッフの間違いだったのにごめんなさいの一言も無し。久々の旅行の始まりは最悪でした。 もう予約することはないと思います。
