Located near the tram line that’s a bit infrequent. Ended up walking the 15mins to the station as that was the fastest way. Staff are courteous and friendly. Room is spacious and clean

Only a smoking room was available for my stay, and it stinks quite strongly. I hope the hotel can take note to purify the air and smells better. Everything else is superb. Great location and facilities.

Mixed Emotions”
I booked the hotel a month prior and noted a special request for a No-Smoking room due to allergies. The day of check-in, I was told that No-Smoking rooms are fully booked. They said that my reservation was for a Smoking room. I showed my Agoda confirmation slip and they said that special requests are subject to hotel property. While I understand their viewpoint, they should have emailed me when they received my booking with special requests. Guests do not make special requests, unless necessary. So, I ended up staying in a Smoking room and had to take medicines to make sure that my allergies don't attack. Although they tried to switch rooms for my benefit, I still believe that they should have gone the extra mile of emailing me that my requests cannot be granted. I could have booked another property.

Clean room like all APA hotels. The TV is a bit hard to control. Not near Matsuyama station. 10 minutes walk from tram station. Although it's next to the Matsuyama castle, the entrance to Matsuyama castle is on the other side. (It's a must-go attraction by the way) If you bring elderly maybe you should book a more convenient hotel.

Went there and bought the price which I think includes the breakfast but finally it was not, (compared with other site and they were actually cheaper) front was kind of standard in service.

Far Location ”
Location of the hotel is too far from JR station and walking takes 15 mins. For family with children and elderly, it is not a good location.

This is the worst experience I have. They have different type of room to choose on agoda and I booked a non-smoking room. But when I check-in, they gave us a smoking room. I tried to talk to them but their reply is: If you do the booking on agoda, booking.com, expedia...this kind of website, our hotel will not promises to give the room you are required. You can leave and we will refund you. I was shocked for this hotel and feel helpless at that time... It was also already night. Me and my family are nonsmoker,the smell in room made us really uncomfortable. I have no choose, so I tried to find other hotel but all of the hotel are full. At the end I have to move to other town... I use online travel website to book the room quit a long time, it never happen the situation like this time. As a non local guest, these kind of website also is one of important way to help us book the room. So if you are nonsmoker, with family and do the booking on above website, I will ask you becareful.

The hotel is about a kilometer away from the JR Tokushima Station, although there is a streetcar station right in front. If you have big luggage, it might not be too convenient as there is not direct route using the streetcars, a transfer is required. The hotel is a bit old but the room is comfortable and clean. It is not too big, and the lighting is a bit dark to my liking.

Close to major railway Matsuyama station, as well as virtually in front of local streetcar stop, convenience is a major selling point. (You’re practically in front of Matsuyama Castle’s backdoor trekking route!) However, rooms are squeaky clean with attention to details and amenities enhanced with a welcoming reception desk and staff.

15 Minutes by walk from Matsuyama Station. There is stop of Tramcar in front of the Hotel. Japanese style breakfast was very impressed. Clean and quiet room with Castle view.

With APA you cannot go wrong”
Very consistent, APA chain of hotels usually don't give any surprises. The room was very clean with a bunch of amenities, Yukata, slippers, toiletries etc....but also tiny, which is the norm, in Japan. If you book in advance, you can get good deals. Unfortunately my airbnb host was a female crook, so I had to leave the apartment and book with APA at the last minute. It was expensive, but they saved my life as it is very hard to find last minute accommodations, in Matsuyama. The only tiny down side is the location. It is accross from a beautiful park, but you will need to walk 15/20mn to/from Matsuyama JR station. But besides that, the staff was wonderful, very helpful and everything else was just perfect.
