1st trip to Egypt”
First trip outside USA ever. Cherry Maryski Hotel was suggested by Egyptian friend. Loved the location. Many things around. Very good place to stay.

Good hotel - very helpfull staff”
The hotel is good compared to others in Alexandria. The breakfast was good and had a lot of choices in the buffet. The staff was very helpful and assisted us to plan our visits. The room was clean.

Good value for money ”
If I go back to this hotel, it will be mainly because of its magnificent staff. They were so keen to make us feel home. For me, the hotel location isn’t the best if you want to enjoy Alex sea view but it is ok if this is not your intended purpose of the visit. My family and I had plans in Alex so we wanted just to spend the night in a clean hotel. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. The hotel provided complementary ice cream, soup and draft soda! Christine, I guess from the guest relations team, spared no effort to grant us a great experience in the hotel. Ask for her if you need help :)

Every thing is very good, pool, breakfast and staff. Wifi in rooms is very weak but mobile signal was very good for data connection (floor 9) room 903 Lightenning in the room is very low, need adding some lights. Breakfast is very good. It is a set menu, but they don't give you options or information about side dishes, they presents the main and side dishes for you, you only know that there is another dishes from the other tables when you see different dish presented for another one, so you need to ask about all the dishes they present because they didn't tell us.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. I had specific wifi needs and there were problems. They were excellent about it. They genuinely tried to help and found solutions. Unlike some supposedly better hotels such as Sonesta Towers, Golden Park and Radisson Blu in Cairo, Cherry Maryski in Alexandria was excellent. Sometimes they could not resolve it, but their effort was genuine. Also got them interested in a bit of their history.

Great Location, But Old Hotel”
The staff, service, and cleanliness is very good. The location is very convenient. Near the corniche, near the market, near the historical places like citadel of qaitbay etc. The only negative point is that the hotel is very old. The room, furniture, bathroom accessories, bedsheets, towels etc need replacement for the hotel to be truly a 5 star. And the corridors have a stink of the cleaning liquid. Corridors should be air conditioned and the foul smell of the cleaning liquid should be avoided with some fragrance. We didn't go to the restaurant so no comments on that. The rooftop view is also very good. Swimming pool is small but can be fun for kids.

Pros - The entrance to the hotel was extremely welcoming and made you feel like you were entering a 5 star hotel. The rooms are average quite the opposite to the lobby. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cons - Bathroom flooded, maintance arrived quickly and sorted out the blocked drain however no one came to sort out the water on the bathroom floor and we had to walk in and out the bathroom with wet feet. Language barrier was extremely challenging. Bathrooms are very outdated and bath in a very poor condition. WiFi was extremely poor not even worth mentioning to quests. Mosque speakers right by our bedroom windows and resulted in a very early wake up call. On arrival we had assistance with our bags however on check out we were told to bring our own bags down to the lobby

A decent hotel in the downtown., Room was spacious enough, but not so clean.., no kettle available in the room, but was provided only after asked for one., The staffs were good, accepted for a late checkout., Altogether, you get what you pay for .,

The Cherry Maryski was great. Only downside was that the rooftop pool was closed for winter. That wasn’t clear when I made the booking.

Mediocre experience ”
Hotel is in a central location, it was hard to reach via GPS. The receptionist helped me a lot via phone an directions. Hotel is way far from the pictures, staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Room was tidy yet not that clean, stains on the mattress , shampoos were half used. It’s good when you’re out of options.
