Best Hotel in Takayama”
If you’re traveling to Shirakawago. Country Hotel Takayama is the best place to stay. It is clean , good for solo travelers, couples and business travelers and the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The location is very convenient . It is located just in front of Nohi Bus Terminal for Shirakawago .and just 3minutes walk from Takayama Train Station. They also serve buffet breakfast at a affordable price. The food was great. There is also a convenient store in the ground floor. The hotel is near Takayama famous old town it’s just a few minutes walk. For us it’s the perfect place to stay. I highly recommend this place.

Great Location and Decent Accomodation”
Country Hotel Takayama is the perfect home away from home in Takayama, Gifu Japan.This hotel is located right across the Nohi Bus Terminal which is right beside to Takayama Train Station. When you get off from the bus, you will immediately see the building. Aside from their perfect location, this hotel also has a KONBINI (are Japanese convenience stores) Family Mart at the ground floor, open 24 hours. Morning markets, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Old Town Street, Hida Kokubunji Temple and Nakabashi bridge are a few tourist location you can easily access by walking (10-15 minutes) from the hotel. I was here last February 24 to 26, 2020. The room is quite spacious for me, got a single room type but I think it can accommodate 2 people in it. Country Hotel Takayama is HIGHLY RECOMMEND aside from their perfect location. Staff are very good, speaks English and really helpful and accommodating.

The location is really great. After passing the ticket gate, go right and you can see the hotel building right away from the station window, just need to cross the street. There's also quite big Family Mart on the 1st floor which is really an advantage considered its quite hard to find convenience store around the town. Lobby and receptionist might be quite busy during check-in since guests came almost at the same time (following the shinkansen arrival schedule), but the staff is really helpful so your waiting time wont be long. Oh, and they can converse quite well in English so no worries. The room might be small but its really common in Japan. It might be compact but have everything you need. Will stay again in here if i happen to visit Takayama again in the future.

Very convenient”
Everything is good, the hotel is located in front of the bus station, just cross the road, front desk is at the second floor and Family Mart is at the first floor, it's very convenient. You can walk to tourist destinations like the red bridge, the morning market, the staff are friendly, the room and all equipment provided in the room are quite complete and clean.

I can't think of cons for this property, really. The room is clean, the staff are very friendly, the location is great. I got a smoking room for this booking but the room did not have any cigarette smell at all! Also, I love their kettle/steamer, a big help for winter. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Hotel is just across the nohi bus center in Takayama,where buses going to shirakawago are located. Very near to JR Takayama Station. The hotel itself is quite old but it is clean,the staffs are very accommodating. The hotel is quite far to attractions but manageable,around 10-minute walk going to old town. Definitely gives value for your money

The hotel is just next to Takayama Train and Bus Station with a convenience store in its front. The room is clean and equipped with everything you need. The price is reasonable. You can go around the city easily from the hotel, it's just like a city center.

A cosy hotel to live in. The room was clean. Well located, situated directly across Takayama JR station and Takayama bus terminal. Just on 1st flr outside the hotel building you can find a convenience store. For those who have planned to stay in Takayama for 4-5 days, I would recommend you to purchase a 4-Day Alps WIDE Free Passport, a ticket that gives you unlimited bus rides for 4 days, allowing you to visit beautiful and interesting sites like Hida-Furukawa, Shirakawago Village , Kamikochi, Norikura and Shin-Hotaka Ropeway. You can take the bus easily from Takayama Nohi Bus Terminal which is across the hotel. The terminal also provides highway bus services to cities like Osaka, Kyoto, Matsumoto, Toyama and Nagoya.

This hotel is located exactly in front of Takayama Station, and right below you can find Family Mart The hotel is very clean I went with my mom and we're very happy with its location The staff can talk simple English, but you have to talk slowly so they can understand better :)

Location is perfect, across from Takayama station and Nohi Bus Center. There is a Family Mart right on the 1st first floor that opens 24 hours. Only 10-15 minutes (depends on your pace of walking) to Takayama Old Town and Morning Market. Daiso and Uniqlo is approx 1-1,5 km away, still reachable with walking though. Bed is comfy, bathroom is clean. Only there is no microwave or bowl, and the cup is only a tea cup (which is small, but they do have bigger cup on the bathroom for toothbrush. I used this when making instant soup). No spoon, or chopstick, but maybe you can borrow it on receptionist, I don't know, I didn't try it though. Overall very much recommended, I had a very good stay.

the front staff was very helpful. they can speak english so dont worry if you're foreigner. the room is very clean and the location is near station. i wpuld like to go to this hotel again if i go to takayama again.

Still felt good the second time around”
My second time to stay here and I still enjoyed it. I am glad there is a staff member who speaks my language fluently so I didn't have to rely on my broken Nihongo. Surprisingly, the smoking room that was provided to me did not have that strong cigarette odor. I would still stay here when I visit Takayama.

The hotel just in from of the train station , less than 100 meter, good location . Just a walking distance around 10 minutes to old town and many good restaurants nearby . Around 10 minutes walk to morning market. Will come back to this hotel again in future, nice Japanese breakfast. Worth for money.

Just across the station (train and bus) and walking distance to every attraction in Takayama. Comfy rooms, good heating system, perfect water preasure, comfy beds and super kind staff. Will stay again!

Nice room and close to Takayama Station”
The room is very nice and value for money with all the necessary facilities. The duration of the walk from Takayama Station to the hotel is about five minutes. The Family Mart is just below the hotel. Overall, it is wonderful to stay in this hotel.

Cheaper hotel alternative if your your planning on a trip to Tokyo Disney. Just a few meters away from bus station(with direct route to Disney land and sea), they have a free one way shuttle to Disney land and sea. Complimentary Breakfast was very good. Would book again if will ever come back.

Location was excellent. Right across from Jr train station and Nohi Bus terminal. If you are planning to go to Shirakawago, Shintoka Ropeway and Gero. So convenient location. Walking distance to the morning Market. Its right walking distance to downtown.
