Be warned. If you book a stay there , you will not receive your booking instructions and pin. You would have to call Forenom number, e-mail a screenshot of your passport to info@forenom.fi with your contact info, and them you will receive info necessary to check in. I do not recommend this place until they resolve this issue.

Stranded without much help”
I never got the identification email as apparently it was sent to an automated email address and not my own. I turned up to the place (after getting off the plane at night) not having a code, tried to call up their 24/7 helpline, got through to someone after 30 minutes and got told someone would call me back soon. Never got the phone call back and by that point it was getting really late at night and had to quickly find other accommodation.

Okay, I was truly aware this won’t be Hilton or Ritz, I only needed a place to sleep on the night before my transfer flight, but I regretted not reading all the reviews in advance. The place is a real dump, but that’s not the worst part. The worst part is that they’re supposed to send you the PIN code for your room around 3pm on the day of your arrival (it’s a self check-in) which they never do. I was stuck at the airport with no room code whatsoever, calling their “customer service” over and over again for hours, until I was finally able to reach someone to email me the room PIN. I paid like 7 EUR for the roaming service. It’s easy to find, just about 1km in a straight line from the airport, however the place is spooky af. If you’re a girl, I wouldn’t suggest you go there, it’s full of creepy drunk guys (later I figured out it’s also used as a permanent accommodation for power plant workers). On the bright side, the room wasn’t too dirty, it was warm and there’s WiFi available. The walls however are probably made of paper, you can clearly hear your neighbors. This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. If you take my friendly advice: Save yourself those 70 EUR per night and go to a hotel, or if you’re just in Helsinki for the night, then u can even stay and sleep at Helsinki airport, which is perfectly clean and there are shops, food, and free clean blankets and pillows available to use on site. Finally, when I sent an email to the hostel’s “customer support” to demand an explanation and a possible compensation for my phone bill, nobody even replied until this day. I’m glad I left the place unharmed tbh. Avoid it, or go at your own risk.

The worst ever”
They supposed to send a PIN code for self check in. They didn’t, and the customer service call ha no one answered. I kept calling for 3 hrs, probably 10 times to get someone taking care of my booking. Besides that, the light of my room is broken, fridge made loud noise, windows can’t be opened.

Very very shabby...There were lots of very noisy (drunken??) guests who went back and forth at all hours to smoke outside. Besides, as I had not received the PIN to get into my room, had to contact the call centre around midnight - it took ages to get through. Definitely not staying again.

Reasonable, clean, and accesible”
As I got a long layover in Helsinki, I decided to find accommodation near the airport and found this one. There were very clean bed sheet, pillow cover, and matress cover, and overall cleaning seems to up to the standards. One drawback was its automated check-in sustem. I didn't get any email from the hostel and more worse was that I didn't buy the roaming service. Even though there was a phone number in case of emergency, I couldn't make a call and barely dealt with the problem thanks to other guests. Except for this matter, everything was overall good.

So terrible for my last experienced. There is some drunken guys and gangsters there while i am alone, they suddenly scolded me. And the bed sheet and pillow all so old and stained.

Das Hostel nahe des Flughafens in Helsinki eignet sich für einen Transitaufenthalt. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, es gab einen Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Kaffeautomat, Wasserkocher und Essgeschirr. Das Bett muss man sich selber beziehen, was jedoch für mich kein Problem ist. Es gibt nur Gemeinschaftstoiletten und -Duschen. Zum Check-In: Da es kein Personal gibt, erfolgt der Check-In im Vorfeld per digitaler Identitätsprüfung. Hierzu kann man sich vom Hostel eine Mail schicken lassen und dort über einen Link eine Ausweiskopie hochladen. Nach erfolgter Verifizierung bekommt man seine Zimmernummer und den Freischalt-Code dafür. Diese Prozedur wurde mir aber vom Forenom Hostel nicht mitgeteilt d.h. ich habe bei Ankunft am Hostel keine Ahnung gehabt, wie ich meinen Code bekomme. Ich hatte lediglich die Buchungsestätigung von Agoda dabei, die mir aber nichts gebracht hat. Nach einigen Anrufen beim Forenom-Support habe ich dann doch den Code für das Zimmer erhalten. Hier würde ich das Hostel bitten, im Vorfeld auch bei Agoda-Buchungen dem Kunden eine Anleitung zu senden. Das spart für alle Beteiligten Zeit und Nerven.

Schwierig mit dem Einchecken. Kein Personal daher ein Codewirrwar um reinzukommen. Unbedingt die Email bestätigen sonst bekommt man keinen Code! Scheint auch eine Obdachlosenunterkunft zu sein. Sehr spooky Hotel. Dreckige Zimmer und die Betten muss man selber beziehen.

Hôtel d’aeroport”
Hôtel très proche de l’aéroport (15-20 minutes à pied), avec une chambre très bien pour le prix. Douches et toilettes communes propres, et utilisées sans personne lorsque nous sommes arrivées et reparties. Très pratique. Très bon qualité prix.
