Loved this place! Bedroom and was so clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious enough and also clean! Staff were very friendly. They have a Northern Lights wake up call so that was helpful. We got to catch a little bit of it thanks to them. There is no fridge in the room so we put our food outside (which was no big deal). It is abit of a drive to this hotel but the location is a nice way in the middle if you're driving to your destinations in the south.

Fantastic hotel in beautiful location”
Stayed 2 nights here en route to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon/ice cave tour. It was perfect - beautiful scenery, great restaurant, brilliant staff, super comfortable and clean rooms (2 teens had one room, we had another). Very good rate. It could only have been improved if we’d had clear skies for the northern lights!

Luxus in Remote wilderness”
First of all the Staff was very pollite and helpfull. They were always there when needed and handled the guests with high respect. The location which is far from everything makes this place unique if you want to feel to be in nature but also to have all the amenities you are used to have. You step out on your balcony and you can go and hike for a few minutes if you like. Breakfeast was fabulous with big variety. The hotel really focuses to be eco-friendly and I am sure not just on the front but also on the background. Overall it is recommended and i can not wait to try the whole FossHotel chain accomodations. Thanks! Recommended place.

Beautiful hotel, saw northern lights from parking lot!”
Beautiful hotel, remote location but well positioned to hike in Skaftafell, or with a drive see the glaciers/glacial lagoons at Fjallsárlón or Jokulsarlon. Staff is very strict about checkin time -- we arrived a little early, at 230p when checkin starts at 3p, and had to come back later - but there is front desk staff 24/7 so this was not a major issue. Hotel has an AMAZING view of vatnajökull glaciers, and we could see the northern lights from the parking lot. Would stay again.

We have a lovely one night stay here as we explored the south coast. The restaurant was amazing and was able to accommodate my gluten allergy easily. Rooms were comfortable with great views.

Hello, this is a guest from Room 48 of 26-28 February. I took the electric pot personally, but it seems that the electric pot and the base in the room changed during the checkout. I am in Reykjavík and it is hard to go back. I would like to send it to the foss hotel in Reykjavík or send me an electric pot support by post. Please answer how you like it. P.s. No need for our changed electric pot support.

New, quiet, modern and comfortable. Patio opens up to a restful views with flocks of birds. We had a great night’s sleep here. Highly recommend.

V arrive early as expected a snow storm approaching, the Reception really help us and check us in. He is really a very efficient staff (I forgot to ask his name, but he is a Liverpool Fan too) as I wear a LFC Beanie. Thanks him again.

An oasis!”
We had a lovely stay at the Fosshotel Nupar after a long driving day and a visit to the nearby glacier lagoon. The hotel has a large lobby for relaxing, a friendly bar, and a delicious restaurant - the only one for miles, so best to make a reservation or you'll end up eating late (as we did) behind a large tour group. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more gracious (Maxi at the front desk was extremely helpful and even came to our room to help us sort out how to use the heater). Would definitely recommend!

Great location for Northern Lights”
Lovely hotel, well located away from city lights making it the ideal place to view the northern lights /Aurora Borealis! Anna in reception was really friendly and helpful! The hot chocolate was reasonably priced and tasted good! Vegan dinner options in the restaurant was rather limited, however there was a healthy spread for breakfast! Overall a comfortable stay and we were also fortunate to see the northern lights while we stayed over!

excellent stop on the way to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon (the next morning on a road full of snow we made exactly 1hour and 15 min to the parking lot with the ice cave tours). The hotel is cosy, warm, big rooms, very clean, and quite a nice bar (with happy hour!). The bed was very confortable . The staff was helpful and nice.

Great hotel in the middle of nowhere”
We loved our stay in this hotel whilst going to diamond beach. The rooms are impeccable, the staff is really friendly, the food (both diner and breakfast) was delicious and the location couldn't be more convenient.
