Solo”

It's too noisy surfing the night and late hours. Either people check in late with packing and unpacking until 2or 3in the morning. They all using the bedroom area to do those. You won't get peaceful rest at all. And same thing in the morning, some people packing to leave very early so that means you barely get to rest in your pod. They should keep a far away space for people who need to pack and unpack not in the same area as a bedroom space.

3 Min to Hotel”

Location is convenience access from the station by walk 3 mins and easy access to airport directly from station that the most comfortable for guests. Room was nice and clean, Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall stay were impress and hope to be back again when travelling to Tokyo

Hotel is conveniently located, staffs are friendly and speak good English ”

The hotel just less than 5 mins walk from the train station, convenient stores just around the corner. There are nothing much interesting restaurants nearby, but food from convenient stores are just as tasty for a quick meal. Dorm room is clean, there is a locker room (for personally belonging but not for luggage) and powder room with toilet inside the Dorm. Luggage can be left at the corner in the dorm. Female Bathroom located at Level 3, Male Bathroom at Level 2. It could be a problem for people who has sleep disorders as your inconsiderate roommates may sort and pack their luggage inside the dorm room at 2am while others were sleeping peacefully. It was pretty annoying but not a problem for me. I am a light sleeper, I can also sleeps under any circumstances so long I am in a safe environment. I like the place overall, will definitely come back if travel solo again.

Perfect location and friendly staff”

The location is near Bakuro-Yokohama station and Bakurocho station for JR users. The hostel is so easy to find, just follow the instructions provided by hostel. They don't provide a free breakfast but they have a cafe on the reception area. Also the place is near family mart so its just easy to buy the things or food you want. The rooms are ok as they have separate area for luggages, enough toilets, shower room and hair dryers. The shower room is located on other floor which means you need to get to the elevator everytime you shower, but that's ok. If ever be back in Tokyo, will definitely stay on this hostel again.

I had my own locker and a bar fridge, it was clean and comfortable and good value. 4th and 5th floors are for women while 6th and 7th are for men. The women’s showers are on the 3rd floor (men’s are on the 2nd floor) and were always clean with shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided. The common room/kitchen area is on the 2nd floor with space for guests to store their refrigerated items and space to sit and eat. Laundry facilities are on the 2nd and 3rd floors with 3 washers and 3 dryers on each floor. A load of laundry (detergent provided) was only ¥200 and 30 minutes in the dryer was ¥100? Overall I’m really happy with my stay (6 nights in all) and I’d definitely stay there again. There are three train stations a short walk away and only two train stations away from Tokyo station. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in Tokyo. The location’s great given it’s very near to the train stations. I like the environment, not too touristy or noisy or crowded with people. Quite a safe neighbourhood. The hostel also provides lots of nightly activities for us, which are good to engage us with each other. The room’s spacious, with enough place to put/reorganise your bags. The shower rooms, although in different floors, are very nice as well. Only one cons - I don’t quite like the pillow. I got an old one I think so it’s not very comfy. But overall, I highly recommend this hostel. Wouls consider staying again if I come to Tokyo.

The location is very strategic, the check in was a breeze, the room is perfect! Just that since you have a space at the end of the room, people tend to pack & shove their big bags infront of your entrance (I dont like telling people to be mindful) but yeah, it can get really annoying if its late at night or early morning. Other than that, all is perfect!

Comfortable Beds and Near a Metro Access”

If you are arriving from Narita Airport and got some luggages, use lift in Exit B3. If you are departing for Narita, use life Exit A4. However, if you are just carrying backpacks and ok to use stairs, nearest exit is Exit A3. The rooms are super clean and have comfortable beds. The receptionist speak less English but they will try their best to explain things to you. Overall, if I will not do any shopping that much, I will stay in the same hostel and same area. But if you will be doing a lot of shopping in your itinerary, the location isn't best for you. But Grids Hostel is currently one of my favorite hostels in my entire stay in my travel history.

Good Location, Friendly Helpful Staff, Clean, Superb Design for Female Dorms, Near to subway ”

It is my 2nd time staying here. As always staff are English speaking, helpful and friendly. Clean, comfy bed, quiet except for some foreigners who do not read English, tend to repack their luggage inside the dorm instead of the designated Locker room area and chat loudly in their own language before lights out. I would prefer their 2nd floor Kitchen to be more friendly with the use of kitchen knife, scissors, cutting board, chopsticks, more plates, larger cups and electric stove for travellers to use as these were not provided. This area should be a place for locals who stay to mingle with other travellers but its not provided for. Seemed more cold like a business hotel with the name "hostel" lacking the social atmosphere. I suggest converting the 1st floor Bar area to be a social mingling area but its too quiet now unfortunately. Good location, nearby subway and ideal place to stay, close by the Mini Stop Convenience store at the main traffic junction.

Great value”

Location is very near to metro station and very convenient. Clean and comfortable. Shower room is located at different floor, so a little bit inconvenient as guests need to take elevator everytime during shower. Otherwise, everything is great. Please like their FB page or follow their instagram so that you can rent the bath towel for free.

Perfect !”

Cube hotel with all facilities for short stay. Recently they have started charging 100 Yen for bath towels. There is a common room with mini oven, microwave & refrigerator and some place to sit and chit-chat. The shower rooms are in the second floor while Male cubes are in higher floors. The place is about 7 minutes walk from JR Bakurocho Station and closer to Subway stations. Convenience stores close by.

Clean, budget friendly, trategic location”

GRIDS was so easy to find. Just exit thru B2 of the Higashi-Nihombashi station, follow the road, cross the street after MINISTOP then it would be on the left. The place is clean. The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. Hair dryers are available in the ladies' powder room. There is a common kitchen where you can keep and heat food. Have coffee and what not. The only issue was that the shower rooms were located on a different floor with only the elevator as access. This makes for one awkward elavator trip when you're riding up with guests who've just had a shower or who are just about to have one. Overall, I recommend GRIDS for solo travellers who are looking for a budget friendly place to stay. The staff speak great English and are attentive and very approachable.

I loved this place!!!! easy to get to, close to stations with access into central Tokyo. the staff were friendly and helpful. the beds were firm. laundry is available and they have a cute cafe as well. I would stay again.

Clean and great value for money”

Stayed here for 5 nights and the place is very clean and organized. Despite being a dormitory type hostel, it is extremely spacious. There's a place for everything - luggage, shoes. You don't have to sleep beside your stuff. The number of sockets is generous. The only not good things are that the shower room is located on a different floor and that it is too far from Shinjuku or nightlife areas. Though it is near the 2 train stations, once the clock hit midnight, you'll be left with no option but to pay a hefty amount for Taxi

Best hostel than few others that I stayed in Tokyo!”

As they have hotel and hostel, basically there are receptionist 24/7. The facilities are very new. Definitely will be back again if I visiting Nihombashi area next time. They have good coffee smell, too bad I need to rush for my train

The hostel is maintained super clean, staffs are very helpful. Location is great, just 3 mins walk from Higashi Nihonbashi station, it’s in a quiet neighbourhood, restaurants available within 10 mins of walking. Bunk bed quarter room is quite small, two suitcases open will take all spaces.

Great staffs and great location”

Just 2 min walk from the subway station. Very nice and friendly staff, have a café inside the reception. Toilet was very clean and come with all shampoo n bath lotion, towel provided. I have to praise one of the lady staff MAMI for her great service, thumb up for her.
