Amazing and Kind!”
Saya and everyone were so kind to me! The place is absolutely beautiful! I was looking for a traditional stay ryokan and this was perfect! You can really tell and feel that it's a well loved traditional home. Their last check in is at 9pm but after contacting them by just replying, I quickly got a response on how to check in by myself after that. They were so kind about it too! My room was a single and it was perfect for me, they had everything I needed already there, including a heating mat for the bed. They had made a booklet too and it's actually really helpful to read it! It had the wifi password (fast connections btw i had no problems!), recommendations on where to go and eat in kyoto. The breakfast was a nice take yourself in kitchen. For my stay each guest got 2 pieces of bread and then there was yogurt and fruits and soup as well. The staff were very friendly and very comforting. They were so nice and helped me take pictures around their garden (which is absolutely beautiful! It is copy pasted from an autumn fantasy!--I went in December). You can leave your bags with them too if you needed. I just really enjoyed my stay there and wish I could've stayed longer. When I checked out and left, another staff sat at the entrance and bowed while greeting me goodbye (im not sure if im explaining this well), it was just really really nice! Thank you again! Beautiful traditional house”
Just to be able to see how a traditional house is like inside and out is worth the stay at Koiya. Super friendly staff. Genuine japanesse garden inside and genuine architecture. Loved it. If you can get the triple room you are in heaven.

Excellent traditional guest house in Kyoto”
I went there in the middle of December. The house was located among the traditional japan-style houses, which was not so easily found if you went there for the first time. After settling down, the staffs were quite thoughtful and friendly, we can communicate very even my Japanese was poor :). The facilities were well-maintained and laden with history, the living room, kitchen and japan-style backyard were excellent. Help yourself with a cup of hot tea or coffee, sit in the living room watching the stone trails covered with maple leaves, I am sure you can find peace and harmony in your heart. In the last, I must say the two-days stay was an unforgettable experience in Kyoto. Undoubtedly, I will still choose this guesthouse if I came to Kyoto the next time. P.S. The Funaoka Osen is just within 10 minutes walk from the guest house. You can warm your body and have a good rest after your one-day adventure in this cultural city.

Not quite easy to reach but it is very reasonable given the price and quality. Staff are friendly and give us a few recommendations during the stay and let us taste the daily life of a Japanese. Very different experience from staying in hotel. Excellent view as well but it is not the core point given other advantages. But the mosquito is quite annoying. Sad we are here in summer but the staff also give us some medic for that :)

Quiet home like space.”
The staff are super nice and the house basically matched the pictures. I could live here. It's a little cold in the winter but they have heaters everywhere. We had two heaters in the room and originally had them both on, but turned off one because it got really hit. Different types of pastries are served for breakfast, and having a cup of coffee or tea in view of the garden is a pleasant morning experience.

Je suis restée 2 nuits et rencontrée 4 agréables personnes s'occupant de la réception et du ménage. La maison est ravissante, accueillante, historique. J'ai adoré ma chambre à l'étage. J'avais réservé la plus grande face au jardin. Le salon et la cuisine sont trop mignons/ beaux. Plein de petits détails en décoration.... La maison est propice aux rencontres avec les autres hôtes. Déjeuner "en famille". Les seuls bémols s'il faut en trouver est peut-être est la sonorité dans le lieu car très ancienne maison + éloigné du centre vivant pour le soir : 30 mn de bus...... Vélos très fonctionnels à louer : il est agréable de rejoindre les temples par ce biais et visiter les quartiers. N'oubliez surtout pas de déguster un plat ou dessert dans le tout petit salon café Tsukuru, à côté ( expérience inoubliable avec le chef Hors pair et sa femme). Bon voyage !

我喜欢有年代感的建筑物。这栋房子已经一百多年了，传统的日式住宅。 位置在上京区，离地铁比较远，不过公交很方便。 选择了带庭院的一楼三人间。说是三人间，实际两个人刚好。这个户型是由玄关、厅、储物间和庭院组成，这就是我要的感觉，超级喜欢。很搞笑，我当时把储物间理解成了卧室，然后把床铺到了储物间，实际应该铺在我所理解的厅的位置。而且我铺床的方式还错了，第二天人家重新铺了一次。 对于鲤屋，我跟我先生抱有不同的看法。我是喜欢体验多元化的，而我先生比较在意舒适度。他认为住在这里要很轻手轻脚的很受局限。是的，因为要考虑到其他人的感受，然后木质的房子又很容易发出声音。所以高大壮硕的人是不太推荐的。 还有就是隔音不好。日本老式的房子基本都是没有做隔音的，窗户是木框架➕纸做成的，可以说是完全不隔音。 但是这些都不影响我喜欢这栋建筑物。里面的细节做的很好，干净整洁又很温馨的感觉。淋浴间的水压高，冲凉非常爽。 周边有船岡温泉，还有不网红但好吃的平价饭店。总体来说是很推荐的。

庭院很美”
前台小姐姐非常热情，房间里打开空调一点也不冷，每天都有早餐，但是并不多，房客多会不够，隔音效果非常差，在屋里正常说话外面听的很清楚，要说悄悄话才行，古老的木地板和木楼梯吱吱作响，每天早上都被吵醒… 可能因为我们住的时间比较久，其实住一两天体验一下就好，还是很值得体验！

离地铁站需走15～20分钟，靠近巴士站，服务很好，庭院很美，只是房间比较小，需要自己挪出位置铺床。晚上厕所和厨房等公用设施灯光太昏暗，其余都好。

房子本身我很喜欢，一百多年的老房子，很有历史感，被保护的很好，干净，又厚重，每一处的摆设和装饰都很棒。但百年老屋难以避免的一点就是没有独立浴室也就罢了，还没有独立卫生间😭。。我住的2楼，半夜想上厕所还得下楼，不是太方便，以至于我晚上都没敢怎么喝水😂。。好在店家态度非常赞，热情周到，弥补了这一小小的缺憾。厨房设备齐全，使用方便，还有自助咖啡，甚至还有可以自己泡的热巧克力！好好喝！早上8点有自助早餐，面包咖啡茶水水果什么的。唯一有点心塞的是遇到了同胞发现他们订的比我便宜三分之一，要是按他们的价位就可以说超值，按我订的性价比就没辣么高了。。

特意加钱订的楼下带院子的 入住发现竟然没有独立卫生间 而且房间很多几乎住满 只有两个厕所和卫浴...床垫还要自己铺...虽然院子确实漂亮 但这个价格感觉不值 隔音也不好 旁人走路说话都能被吵醒…”

美丽的庭院！”
只住了一晚实在是太可惜了！隐藏在居民区的民宿，进入前要拖鞋，staff还帮忙搬运了行李！庭院的灯晚上九点关闭，一楼的房间还有摇摇椅和廊上的小茶几。厨房的餐具很温馨，早上会摆满各式各样的面包。公共休息室里还有大家涂鸦留言的本子。离开的早上，staff帮忙叫了出租车，还泡了热茶。下次来一定多住几天！

第一眼被客厅外漂亮的花园所吸引”
这是一家漂亮的日式民宿，如果天气不那么热的话入住体验会更好。这样的民宿会吸引很多不同国家的游客，所以晚上会听到地板传来的脚步声，走来走去的有点吵。餐厅客厅经常能看到不同的游客在喝茶，自助晚餐，喜欢热闹的可以感受一下这种气氛。没有洗衣机，所以洗衣晾晒衣服不太方便，手洗的衣服很湿，晾在房间会弄湿地上的草席。

典型的和室风格 十分古朴 隔音差是不可避免的啦 想体验日式榻榻米的值得一去 这次刚好赶上了大阪地震 老房子还晃了一会 不过这种木制的房子塌了也不会死。。。离公交站很近 但是地铁实在太远了 拖着行李走了十几分钟才到 附近也有7-11很方便；民宿工作人员很热情 十分感谢民宿老板帮忙预定了想去的餐厅

值得体验”
非常有特色的百年老宅，酒店的花园非常漂亮，我们每天早饭都在花园的露台上吃。有两个洗手间和浴室，所以不用担心排队洗漱。缺点就是1地理位置有点偏，离地铁口有点远，走路大概得十多分钟，尤其是我们两个女孩拖着大行李2隔音效果不好，对面说话都听得一清二楚3我们住的二楼，夏天会很热，冬天会很冷，只适合春秋去住。但是不管怎样，这里都绝对值得去体验，下次去京都还会选择这里。
