Very good value for the price”

I enjoyed my 10-night long stay at Hiromas Hostel Kanda and will definitely consider staying here again during my next visit to Tokyo. Facilities were modern and always clean. The capsule was surprisingly spacious and comfy. Towels are changed daily. Staff is friendly and can speak English. Both Kanda station and Akihabara are within walking distance. There are convenient stores and restaurants just around the corner. It's also possible to buy soft drinks in the lobby. There is no elevator though, which can be quite inconvenient for people with a lot of luggage. There's also no locker for big luggage, only a simple combination lock. For valuables, there's a small locker in the capsule. Sinks, showers and toilets are not in an extra area, so it can get a little noisy. Just don't forget to bring your ear plugs.

Good place for a short stay”

Overall everything is nice and clean. The place is within walking distance from the station. The staffs are polite. There is only 1 electric socket in the capsule which may limit the number of electronic devices to be charged at once.

Far from JR station but can walk. Nice and clean room. Good kitchen.

Nice location, nice staff but no lift

If you want to stay at a place that has unstable air conditioning. Then this for you ”

Only stayed here two nights and I didn’t like my experience at all. In the middle of the hottest month of the year the air conditioning breaks, so imagine sleeping in 90 degree weather with high humidity on the 4th floor. I thought this was just a coincidence at first, but I later found out this has happened a lot more often. The capsules are thin plywood, so the humidity would make an odd smell come from it. After all of this, the staff only apologized and when I left during the week the air conditioner was still not working. You would think after all of this, the staff would at least accommodate me in some sort of way right? Wrong, I wanted to leave my luggage for just 2 hours at the hostel, because I had an appointment and I didn’t want to move my luggage around. They told me it would be 100 yen. Just for 2 hours.. In my opinion this hostel is badly ran and the staff does nothing to accommodate they’re customers. They also don’t have an elevator, expect to carry your bags up.

Affordable, safe and convenient”

Loved it, only downside was it's 15 minute walk from either Kanda or Akihabara stations if you're using JR Pass. For myself, I didn't like the plywood used for the bed walls as I am clumsy and I probably disturbed my neighbours bumping into them. I liked the safety locker above the bed, but again it was noisy and squeaky..

Pros: great location, staff, beds Cons:climbing up the ladder to get to my bed was a little scary at times. There was no elevator but that was minor if you have tons of bags you’ll be climbing the stairs with them

A great place for a solo traveler newbie”

The room is comfortable and clean. Privacy wise is acceptable since it is a hostel and I am glad that my dorm mates are respectful and kind. For a solo traveler newbie who are pretty much uncomfortable to mingle around this place is for you. Most of the time people will keep their business to themselves and you're free to make new friends if you like to! I managed to have dinner with a friendly staff Koji at the common area and it was great to exchange knowledge in cultures together. And there was another staff (I forgot his name) who were cool enough to show his Kendama skill with me. It was awesome. The rest are just quite and reserved. The room is not that near with the stations but it is acceptable. The room can be warmer since the temperature was cold outside. The rest is fine. Anyway, I suggest, provide the guests with free slippers instead of charged. The washing machine and kitchen would be helpful with English instructions too. Keep it up guys!

Nice hostel that is about a 5 minute walk to Kanda station (JR Pass) There is a 7/11 and family mart close by also The staff are friendly The pillows are terrible and too flat it spoils the experience as it’s a nice hostel but if they changed their pillows to ones that actually represent a pillow would be better Showers and toilets are clean

It was ok”

Moa Hostel is clean, and the facilities look almost like new. The bunk beds have a curtain to keep privacy and I liked that. There were two showers and three toilets on my floor, but the stairs are too steep and I had trouble going up and down, especially with my luggage and my foot, which at the time was hurt. I was very mad with the coin dryer because only 10 mins cost 100 yen and I spent around 800 yen trying to dry my clothes and they never did, so I had to hang them in the room. The location was terrible for me; it says that it's near to the station but it's a 10 min walk to get there, and I repeat, with my foot hurt it was an inconvenience. The walk to Akihabara was around 10-13 mins as well so you can get there easily on foot. I had to cancel one reservation I had because I didn't like the location :(

Standard hostel in city”

Location is good, not too far from JR Kanda sta by walking. There are 4 floors, with no elevator. Bunker is clean and comfortable.

AMAZING”

If I ever return to Japan I WILL be staying at Hiromas Hostel. NO OTHER CHOICE for me. Lovely hostel, kind and outgoing staff, and memories I will never forget. 5 stars.
