this is our first time in holiday inn ottawa, staff is very nice and place is so clean. however we and some issue regarding internet but the staff gave is a courtesy by giving us percent off on our parking fee. ill recommend it to all my friends and family.

This was an excellent place to stay. It is close to all of the sites, walking street and the rail. The only negative was the surprise parking fee. There were also many cars parked in the loading check-in area and not one person checking in. I had to park halfway onto the street. Tow the cars!

It is a bit farther from downtown and Byward market than some other properties but the area is beautiful and quiet. The facility has been recently renovated, and the staff are very friendly, accommodating, and wonderful! The staff make the experience great! One down side is that the parking garage pay machine often doesn’t scan the coupons given for parking by the hotel so you may find yourself locked in the parking garage and having to call them. If the machines worked, all would be well...

Expensive parking fee, $30 per night is ridiculous. The parking lot across street only charge $14 for 24 hours. You guys need to think for your customer, not your own pocket

a real nightmare”
We have reserved a room for 2 adults and 2 kids (it is clearly written in our booking). When we arrived, the room was small and only for 2. Despite our request to have a room where we could decently sleep, no solution was offered by the staff (no other room even with extra money, no addition of an extra bed for the children, ...). We hardly slept the 2 nights. The service of this hotel is unworthy and does not deserve to be part of an international hotel group.

Poor service for price point of hotel”
-in and out of parking garage is confusing with two tickets you scan -parking is $25 but in order to get out it charges your visa $30 in order to get door open -call down to front desk, do not pick up, have to walk down to lobby to get a person to assist - bedroom not made up in an hour as promised - appears to be understaffed.

I had asked for a room with a king bed and ended up with a queen. The room was very small and is dated. The bed was not very firm. The carpet in the hallway was old and dirty. The front staff were ok but not overly friendly.

The staff were polite and cooperative. The location was good because it was near almost everything in the downtown. Expensive for the room , not comfortable mattresses, old furniture.

Great Stay”
I have stayed at this hotel before because it is quiet, clean and comfortable, but my most recent stay was especially good: I had some special requests and staff went out of their way to accommodate. I travel to Ottawa every month for work and this has become my default hotel.
