Wonderful place to stay ”

I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to assist their guests. Mr. Sumon (Guest Services) aided me in a personal matter that could have been very stressful, however, with his help proved to be resolved with no issues. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, affordable, and safe place to stay.

Comfortable room, friendly staff”

Room was comfortable, The staff was always helpful and very friendly. Location is good for Center and old Dhaka ( traffic in Dhaka can be bad.. ) The hotel serves nice breakfast and they have a nice bar.

Very organised room with functional dining area, sitting area and study table in Royal suite. Room on 18th floor overlooks Dhaka city. Staff was well behaved, security looked good. Food was good and breakfast sumptuous with both Indian as well as continental options.

This hotel is very well priced for what it offers. There are multiple restaurants, cafe, gym. I stayed in a renovated room and it was perfect! The internet was good. The toilet was clean and functional. The water was hot and the pressure nice. In terms of location I found the area to be right in the centre of the city for exploring Old Dhaka, Karwan Bazaar and Gulshan. Overall very pleasant experience at Hotel 71!

Great staff, helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide variety of food.

Mixer bag, but compared to local standard may be one of better options”

Mixed experience for me as things don't seem entirely consistent. Works going on at the lower floors of the building. Location fairly central and too far from Old part of town if you are tourist. Reasonable breakfast, on some days was easier to find something I liked, on some days less. Rooms some newer, some older. I arrived late at night due to delayed flight - got 'upgraded' to room without windows - in the morning got moved to a room with broken a/c, so got moved again to another newer room. Then was told I would be moved again.. Higher floor with better view, but old room and with persistent noise from some machinery in the building. All in all a mixed bag - you may be more lucky, or you may be not. There is a potential, but too many dents.

I didn’t get the room I paid for. There is virtually no sound insulation so the entire evening till 11pm you wIll hear loud live music from the bar on level 9
