Beautiful wooden decor, an in-room sauna (which gets very hot, so only a person should use it at a time), the best French toast a chef makes for breakfast... We were impressed by its quality services. After checking out, we took a hotel shuttle to Shinagawa station and took the Keikyu airport line to Haneda to catch our flight. It was pretty convenient.

Extraordinary hotel with extraordinary art. If you stay here make sure you do the art tour. The rooms are huge by Australian let alone Tokyo standards. For all the years I have been going to and fro to Tokyo I did not know about this place until recently recommended by a Japanese friend. One of the world's great hotels. Very distinctive in its style and history. A real treat.

Spacious suits with access to executive lounge. More variety for breakfast would enhance the experience. Many reviewers mentioned the steep hill to walk in order to get to Meguro Station. You can actually use escalators through the Amazon offices next door as a short cut.

There is also a shortcut to get to the station, but on weekdays you can take a free bus after 11am. On weekends such as Saturdays and Sundays, it operates from 9am. Please use it next time. Second time staying in Gajoen, this time staying in the newly renovated Japanese King Room (80 metres square). Nice decor. Spacious as always. Executive lounge is nice. Recommended to sit by the window where one can enjoy the meal with Mount Fuji in the background. Food offered in the executive lounge is delicious too; wish there were more choices though. Cleanliness and hygiene can be improved. Attention to detail is questionable as we found a receipt left by the previous guest in the guest room. It always makes us shudder when we see "leftover" from previous guests. Location is not the most ideal. Shuttle bus service not frequent enough. Reserved Valentine's Day dinner at the Hotel's Italian restaurant which was great.

Rooms are spacious, had a great stay overall. No problems encountered during stay. Just the access to Meguro station was tough, having to walk up a steep slope.

The hotel itself is a piece of art. The garden and foyer area are just stunning. The rooms are huge. The beds are huge too. This is highly unusual for a Japanese hotel. Staff members are extremely helpful and friendly too.

Hotel is above expectations, but...”
Overall, the experience in this hotel is quite good and above our expectation. Room spaces are large, we can use double beds for 4 each and they offer complimentary lounge service for every users. However, the cleaness was below our expectation. Especially, the utility for tea and coffee were abundant of small dusts and they didn't clean until the checkout. They should correct it. And also, I recommend 'do not use any restaurants except for KANA TERRACE (for breakfasts)' eventhough they offer 20% discounts. I used Kaiseki restaurant for a dinner, but it was horrible! It's the first experience that I didn't satisfy for Japanese food.

Great cultural experience”
The Japanese room was spacious and clean. Staff are professional, meticulous and courteous. Gourmet served during tea time and breakfast at the executive lounge was both tasty and tasteful. Greatest part of all was the cultural experience. There was a brief sado (tea appreciation) session with the lady in kimono in the executive lounge and she was very hospitable, offering some insights into the art of tea making. The art tour in the morning was expertly conducted by a lady member of hotel staff (her English was superb), and the flower arrangement exhibition that took place at 百段階段 was a great use of the venue. All in all a memorable stay in an exquisitely furnished house of traditional art.

Highly Recommend”
Old but nice. We love the Traditional Japanese style room with spa baht and sauna+steam room inside. Bedroom is too small compare to the size of the whole suite but comfortable futons. Breakfast is fantastic. Nice room service. F&B in the Lounge is good. We feel like staying in a resort even its located in the center of Tokyo. Convenien location. Close to Maguro station. And also there are many Taxi stand by in front of the hotel.

i was get charge from this hotel. non sense!”
on my way to this hotel. i thought this hotel was so close to meguro station since it said in google map so close to meguro st. but unfortunately you have to walk downhill and very steep downhill. i was carry two big luggage from kyoto.. and when i check in to this hotel. this hotel ask me to pay Goverment tax for as long as i can remember was 500 YEN which is not too much. but i just think is nonsense i have to pay again. cause i thought i already pay everything through agoda that including Tax too. sad things is for this such a MEGA hotel.. and room honestly was nice. but for this hotel to not having even 1 bottle of water! THAT IS SILLY!

Worth the money you paid for”
This hotel is pretty great for what it’s worth. Service is up to par and as far as location goes, it’s a pretty convenient walk to the train station (Meguro). As far as my observation goes, there’s a lot of expats in the area due to its vicinity with global company offices like Amazon, etc. So naturally, some of the businesses are international and tourists friendly.
