hotellet är placerat mitt i kyotos tåg/tunnelbana byggnad vilket gjorde att ankomsten från tokyo med shikansen gick väldigt smidigt, även de små utflykter som gjordes under vistelsen gick väldigt bra när man bor mitt i stadens transport nav. hotellet var lyxigt och hade en fin pool, dock aldrig okey att en sådan ska kosta pengar att få besöka, lite dåligt.

Perfect hotel in a perfect location ”
Sometimes you book a hotel on the recommendation of a friend and it makes your whole trip better. That’s what happened for me and my teenager this month in Kyoto. An old friend heard I was traveling to Japan from the US and took the time to share his experiences here. Among his excellent suggestions was this hotel. We flew into Narita from the NYC area and then immediately got on trains to Kyoto. Arriving in the late evening (our flight was delayed), it was so convenient to walk off the train and right into the hotel. The staff was welcoming and professional. The room was perfect. Literally perfect. The combination of western style beds and Japanese style bathroom had us immersed (pun intended) in the culture but comfortable. The days we spent in Kyoto were easy and luxurious. I can’t say enough about this hotel. They didn’t put a foot wrong, even carefully avoiding misgendering my trans son. Just stay here. It’s worth it.

Excellent location, Amazing Staff”
Location is very convenient (inside Kyoto Station). Several dining options and shopping malls nearby. Easy access to all types of transportation. Staff very courteous, helpful, polite. Room was beautiful, quiet, very clean, and came with great amenities. The shower and bath were wonderful - especially after a long day of sightseeing. Check in process was smooth. We arrived early and the room was not ready yet, but they stored our luggage and had them waiting in the room when we returned. Overall, this hotel is excellent!

We booked the Newly Renovated, Superior Twin Room at a great price. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nice modern design. The beds are clean and very comfortable. The toilets are also spacious and very clean. My fussy girlfriend thinks that the toilet is the best. Newspapers are also provided daily, they are placed outside your room early in the morning. The location is very VERY convenient as it is just on top of the Kyoto station. There are also many shopping malls are located just below. There are also a few cafes for breakfast.

You couldn't get a better location than this to explore central Kyoto. We barely left the station on the first few days because literally everything you need is within the station area. Arriving from Tokyo on the Shinkansen was so easy with pushing luggage from the train stop to the hotel, even in peak hour traffic. The room was large as far as Japanese hotels go na the 5 star facilities and showers, bed etc were perfect. A very comfortable stay and staff were very friendly. I would stay here again for sure.

Incredible location at Kyoto Station! Ease of access to the Shinkansen and all train lines and most importantly, just a five minute walk to Dai Ichi Asahi Ramen! With the Japan Rail pass, you can use this as a hub for your travel to many places...and many different experiences. Rooms are very comfortable and I'd recommend booking early for a better rate. My Favorite Hotel”
Before arriving in Kyoto I hemmed and hawed over whether to stay at a hotel on the Kamogawa River or at the Granvia. We ultimately chose the Granvia because we were able to secure a "Family Room" (NOT advertised on any of the booking sites!! You have to email them to inquire about the availability) which was HUGE by any standards (62 sq m) and had 4 "twin" beds. I put "twin" in quotes because they were each wider than your standard American twin and longer. My 2 children, husband and I all had some of the best sleep of our lives in this hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable with wonderful linens. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. I disagree with some of the reviewers that this is more of a 4-star hotel than a 5 star. It absolutely deserves its 5 stars. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had. We absolutely LOVED this hotel and would stay here again.

Fantastic location with a large room”
My wife and I stayed in Granvia Kyoto for 3 Nights recently and really enjoyed all aspects about this hotel. The staff were friendly and accomodating and location wise this is a gem as it is connected with Kyoto station. Very accessible and plenty of shopping and food options. We did not take the breakfast option so cannot comment on that. The room we got was huge and had a great city/mountain view. The tub was large as well. We will definitely stay in this hotel again when we return to Kyoto. Thank you for making our stay a special one!

The hotel is just right inside the Kyoto JR Station. The main bus station is just right outside the central exit. I stayed in the new renovated twin-bed room 954 facing the train station with a great city view. The room was large and it was able to open 2 large and 2 small bags together. The design of the room was modern and it was super clean.

Convenient and baby friendly ”
Wonderful customer service and personalized touch. They weren’t able to grant us early check in, so checked our luggage and brought it up to our room for us. We got an accessible room, with extra space for the kids and the crib. Also first time a hotel had diaper pail specially for the baby. Room was close to elevator, which makes it convenient for stroller and kids, not having to walk long corridors. The trains were right below us, great view, kids loved it, and surprised by no sound or vibration. Amazing!

Memorable stay with top-notch service that exceeds our expectations”
The concierge and reception staff had been extremely helpful. Before we arrived at the hotel, they had been helping us with the reservations of restaurants and all arrangements to celebrate our wedding anniversary with lots of initiatives. This was probably one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Japan. We frequent Japan at least twice a year, for several years now. This was the first time we stayed at a Granvia property. We were so incredibly pleased with everything. The rooms were large, nicely decorated, and the convenience of it's location was more than great, it was AMAZING! From check-in to check-out, we truly enjoyed every minute there.

5-star hotel in Kyoto station”
So glad to have stayed here on our last day in Japan. Saw this hotel in my last visit to Japan and always thought of staying here. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, bathrooms as well, and well stocked with amenities. The bed was so comfortable (after sleeping on tatami for the last 1.5 wks) and there were many little touches like night light etc. We also had a free upgrade from standard room (not sure to what grade, but it’s on the 14th floor), so much appreciated for that. Very convenient to go everywhere especially if you are going to use the rail a lot. Lots of places to eat around there too. Only thing is the pool is only for the “elite” guests or you have to pay 1100 yen. Wish I had stayed here longer to enjoy the hotel more.

It is so easy to find the hotel after we walked out of Kyoto station, actually later we found you could reach the hotel lobby directly from within the station via a escalator, no need to come out of the station. Easy to find bus or metro lines to go somewhere else. Very nice lobby, restaurants, and room set up. I have to say the room is much larger than I expected. Will definitely stay at here again next time. Very impressed!

Great location and very convenient to travel around as it is located at the transportation hub although alittle pricey. Room is spacious and bathroom water pressure is good. From the hotel room can see directly the Kyoto Tower. Very recommended and will stay here again the next time we travel to Kyoto. Hotel also gave us chocolate as a gift for it was our anniversary which was a surprise and nice gesture.

The hotel is on top of the train station and next to a bus terminal. Very convenient to travel to places via JR, Shinkansen, Normal trains from here. There's even halal restaurants nearby. The hotel also provides transfer of luggage from one hotel to another at a reasonable cost. (Ours was from kyoto to a hotel in tokyo). Friendly staff and able to speak english.

Very good deal for the money. Super spacious, modern, comfortable and amazing location. We’ve got a room on the last floor and the view was amazing. Super friendly staff. Shower room was amazing. Water pressure and shower features were a big plus and helpful After a day of walking around the city. We had two bed put together instead of one queen bed, but it was not a big deal and still very comfortable. Super clean overall but Just found out to have a little dust left behind. Definitely recommend and staying here again if back.
