Comfortable hotel in easy walking distance of Tokyo Station”
We were very happy with the Monterey. Room and bathroom were clean and a good size. Twin beds were extra wide (though a little firm). Staff were helpful. The hotel is very nice and the position is very convenient with Ginza shops nearby and Tokyo railway station an easy 10 minute walk.

Not many foreign travelers come to this hotel, mostly local people, which means you may face the problem of communication with staff, but also you can enjoy the polite environment with local people. The location is very good, next to hotel is a shopping mall, and the most famous stationary store, itoya. At least three cafe near hotel and you can enjoy your breakfast here

Central Location/ Great Staff”
This hotel is located 10 mins from Tokyo Station, and a few minutes from Ginza 1 Chome Station. Lots of great restaurants and bar near by and it was easy to get to and from the airport. The staffs were all very nice. Loved breakfast buffet - lots of healthy choices including fresh made omulets!

The decorations will make you amazed. We have booked two rooms, and each one had a different decorations. The location of the hotel is inside of Ginza, so the area is very quiet, yet, the Ginza main street is a walking distance. There are many coffee shops and specialty shops around the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great location and service My husband and I stayed for a night before heading to Tohoku area and came back after 8days. The hotel offered us free luggage storage service which save us from taking the luggage around. Definitely will come back

Last minute booking due to typhoon”
An expected typhoon shutdown travel services out of Tokyo, we were fortunate enough to book Hotel Monteray, and immediately drop off luggage prior to check in time. Staff were extremely kind and understanding especially considering emergency situation. Will always come back.

Friendly hotel & strategic location”
Hotel check-in time is 3pm. Upon arrival I had a massive migraine headache, after spoken to the receptionist at the hotel we were allowed to check in early to one of the rooms we booked. This helped me to recover quickly & able to explore Ginza that evening. Thanks to the hotel! As well as friendly staff this Hotel is perfect for my family with 2 teens. Comparing to other cities in Tokyo, Ginza is far more the best city for my family. The hotel is just several minutes away from the Ginza crossing and a number of subway stations within walking distance (around 10mins walk). Many nice eateries around! The hotel room is very spacious & comfortable. They provide complimentary mineral waters, also there is a free hand phone which we can use. We booked two rooms so we had two hand phones to use between us (parents) and the teenager children. Will stay here again in the near future.

Room is spacious when compare to other hotels around the area. Easy to access to Metro stations. Many 24 hrs. convenience stores just across the hotel.

We stayed 5 days in Monterey Hotel Ginza, and we had a fantastic wedding anniversary celebration. The hotel is superb with a great local and international buffet breakfast. The location is fantastic with lots of great restaurants and pubs right next to the hotel. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful. The only downside is our room is so hot as all the instructions on the ac is in Japanese. But overall stay is fabulous and we will definitely come back and will stay in this hotel again

Room was a bit small. Dining was very basic. General decor in need of improvement. Eg red awnings at front/side lower level need cleaning. Room and foyer furniture need replacing/modernizing. But overall happy with location, staff and value for money in an otherwise expensive rental accommodation city. One frustration was that the steps to ground level from dining room we’re often closed due to wedding photos. This caused the lift to be full and a long wait for exiting the dining room.
