Great location, big room”
It’s located at the bus station n the snow wall. You can enjoy the snow wall tour privately with hotel staff. Dinner set n breakfast buffet are delicious. Room is big n clean. Recommend to stay in this hotel.

Really the best place to stay if you wanna spend more time to see the snow wall or try some snow shoe hiking routes. Wonderful stars during night:)

Best location along the entire Alpine route”
located at Murodo station which is one of the stations u will spend most of your visit times along the entire alpine route. Special free private snow corridor tour for hotel guest only, where u can take a lot of fabulous pic with very few tourists at the background. Great place to rest after 1-2hrs of snow trekking, nice snow mountain scenery from room windows, delicious dinner and buffet breakfast, friendly staff with good english. It's kind of pricey, but its location win everything

This hotel is on the murodo station, in front of the snow wall. So location is fantastic. But it is pricey for the hotel room and facilities. I think because of the location. Breakfast was superb.

Wonderful Setting and Very Helpful Staff”
Our room was spacious and quite nice. The first room we were assigned had a bad odor and the staff was very helpful in assigning a new room. Although the Japanese dinner was very nice, we were planning on the French option and were disappointed it was not available (even though we checked in as early as possible) - if you want the French dinner, I guess you need to reserve it in advance. We enjoyed the private family onsen - make sure to book it when you arrive if you want to use it. You will receive a discount coupon to the gift shop, so don't make the mistake of making purchases before you check into your room! Overall a great stay, and we were happy we chose this location.

Exceptional hospitality & service given by hotel staff with activities provided during the stay. Staying in this hotel will have the privilege to visit the snow wall, star gazing on mountain top & catching early sun rise. However for such price range the mattress is the worst I have slept in during my stay in Japan. Is time to upgrade the facilities of the hotel.

Great location and staff gave free upgrade. Slightly disappointed that we didn’t managed to see the stars and go for the sunrise trip due to weather condition. Nonetheless, quite an interesting experience (staying at the highest hotel in Japan).

Hotel Tateyama was pricey, but the location was great. You need to be prepared to pay for premium location! Older hotel about at about the half way point of the Alpine Route. We stayed there, then continued on the route the next day. The Route is a bit much to do in a single day.

The room, facilities are too plain, old fashioned etc. but very expensive. There are some activities but in Japanese only, so we have no interested in it. Dinner and breakfast are great

Hotel Tateyama is located at Murodo, the peak of the Tateyama Alpine Route. The room is very big and cozy, actually we booked for twin room but we were given an upgrade to triple room. The room also has a great view and cleanliness is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they have 1 hour guide tour around the Murodo area which is great. There is a free rental for snow boots and accessories Meal at the restaurant is very nice as well. overall is a great stay
