Comfy bed, Amazing food, Perfect location”
I was SO pleased with this hostel! It was super clean, quiet, with lockers, showers, bathrooms all beautifully appointed. The food is AMAZING if you get the set with the room - be sure to get your choice! Other sets might run out, although there are several individual menu items too. The salt pancake dessert is not to be missed if you get the chance. They give out free earplugs - but it was super quiet when I was there Nov 2020. The staff is super helpful and sweet. The Family Mart across the street is super handy, and the VIEW from there at dawn (or bike up to the overlook - even better) is NOT to be missed (esp for photographers! Star shots at night too!). I ended up staying a second night since Onomishi had so much to see for a whole day (I meander, explored the shore roads, and several art museums too). I'll stay again when I visit another year!

Best option on Shimanami Kaido”
This new hostel is an excellent (if not the best) option for the Shimanami Kaido. Just at the middle of the itinerary. The whole building is designed to receive bicycle riders and in the best conditions. You have several options for breakfast and dinner. Pro: In the middle of Shimanami Kaido itinerary Option for breakfast and/or dinner, which is big enough Super and comfortable pod with pyjama. There is also bigger pods where you can bring your bike with you Clean bathroom with hairdrier, towels,... Competent and friendly staff. Cons: None, if I did the bike ride again I would stay here again.

Amazing Place! ”
I loved staying here! The capsules were pretty spacious and the shared bathroom facilities were super clean and spacious. Because this place is also a cafe, it made is super convenient to get a proper meal without having to get on my bike again after a long day of riding. However, the cafe does get really busy so you should make a reservation for a table in advance. There is also a Family Mart right across the street, which adds to the overall convenience of this place! The staff are super friendly are more than accommodating if you have an issues.

We picked the place because we were doing the bike ride in two days and it’s right on the 1/2 way point. So glad we did as it’s supper clean had everything we needed and the staff are awesome. We had an issue with one of the bikes we rented and not being able to speak Japanese had trouble making contact with the rental company, when the staff found out about it they called the company for us and had the bike replaced the next morning. Stop looking book here as we will definitely be back 🤓👍

This is a great place to stay in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido. It’s brand new, extremely clean, easy location, great dinner, amazingly friendly staff, and very hip. Spaces are separated by curtains but guests were very quiet so sleeping wasn’t a problem. One of the staff gave me great recommendations for the rest of my trip. I would definitely stay here again!

Very convenient during Shinanami Kaido”
Super clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, few minutes riding after the bridge. Nice breakfast with limited choice but enough to get you going to the day. Dinner is too expensive and most options require pre booking at check in time. Family Mart across the road is great. Very much recommend.

Loved this hostel. The whole place was pristine and the beds were private and specious. A perfect night between our days of cycling! They let us bring our drinks from the supermarket opposite when the bar shut.

The accomodation is half way journey of Shimanami Kaido, perfect if you plan to complete the route in 2 days. The place was clean and staff were very polite. Cafe serve good food too!!!

Staff are wonderful and the facilities are nicely maintained, plus there is a convenience store directly across the street. They even had a tire repair kit, which allowed me to readily repair a flat.

A brand new hostel and cafe that is located at a perfect half way point if you are looking to complete the Shimanami Kaido cycleway. Lovely staff and incredible food - would highly recommend.

This is your best option when wanting a stop in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido. It’s pretty new and very clean and comfortable. There are a few minor issues - curtains on the rooms instead of sliding doors. Noise was a constant worry. But, it really is your best option

Thank you for staying. Omishima is just the middle point of the Shimanami Kaido. From the direction of Onomichi, even after getting off at Omishima by bicycle, the location is just right, as it is close to our hostel. Also, please drop in when you come to Shimanami Kaido.

Ideally located hostel if you want to be in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido route. There bus stop and the bicycle rental place are only 5 minutes away. There’s a Family Mart right in front of the hostel, but the area is not interesting as in other villages like Miyaura or Setoda. Since it’s a brand new hostel that opened in May 2019, the place is spotless and we were only a few guests. I suspect it might get very noisy when it’s full, as it’s an open area with a very high ceiling, it’s like being in a 50+ dormitory. For the twin bunks, a higher curtain would have been appreciated for more privacy and to have a darker room. In all, I thought it was a bit overpriced for what is, but still very pleasant, modern and clean.

The twin bed room is a trap. Only a curtain separe you from all the other part of the hostel so obviously you can hear everything happening and everyone can hear you. It's the same with all rooms. Otherwise i have never paid so much for a hostel in japan. The owner just enjoy the location and his monopole. The restaurant is also expensive. Fortunetly there is a very nice family mart near with nice tables and chairs with a view on the sea.
