Tråkigt med fel rumskategori”
Andra gången vi besöker detta hotell. Förra gången fick vi byta rum två gånger för att AC mm inte funkade. Denna gången såg jag verkligen till att boka double coral bungalow. Men när vi kom var de upptagna. Jag hade tom mailat dem två gånger att vi ville bo i bungalow. Våra kompisar betala 14 dollar mindre per natt än oss och bokade samma rum. De fick en fantastiskt fin bungalow på stranden. Vi fick ett rum högst upp vid receptionen med en jätteliten smal balkong och så litet rum. Tråkigt för annars är stranden bäst på denna resort.

The stay was amazing..I enjoyed alot the view the sunset.. jus wow.. ma favorite place of all time .. i hv been going to kendwa since 2014 so I have seen the growing of kendwa till now its a best one

Very good beach the best . The sunset the food the people the Tunisian chef in the kitchen with the seafood couscous . Every thing was perfect .

Resort a place if wish for lively entertainment or just chilling”
Had a beach front cabin, which was beautiful and convenient for all facilities and beach, but also with privacy. Main buildings on a steep hill (hence the name!), so if you have challenges with steps or walking, it's not for you. Whilst staff were helpful, we have had better in all our other stays in Zanzibar and Mafia.

Beautiful, accessible beach. Nice rooms. We were lucky for a beautiful beach bungalow. Spacious. VERY expensive food and drinks. Does not allow outside drinks. No complementary fresh water.

We had a great time at Kendwa Rocks. Very friendly staff. Only negative is that there's no hot water in the mornings. Only in the afternoons.

We had the best time at Kendwa Rocks. The staff was super nice, especially the receptionist staff and the hotelmanager. They were very helpful. We had the Mozambique room en and the Botswana Room, they were nice. The Full Moon party was great. The beach was nice, we loved the pumpkin soup with shrimps! We will definitely come back.

Kendwa Rocks is a place to go with a group of friends and wanting a boozy couple of days spent under a banda or in the pool. The rooms were just ok, the food was less than impressive and the staff were fine. It isn't a bad place, but you need to be going for the right reasons or you'll find yourself bored and eating blaise hotel food.

We stayed at Kendwa Rocks six nights over Christmas. We had booked a bungalow on the beach. First we got the wrong room which was later corrected. Then our friends arrived. They had also booked a bungalow but got a double room close to reception. When complaining about this they got no empathy from the staff, just stupid arguments. The entire hotel is cash free so you get a card which you pay for at check out. They then charge 3% extra for this! You have to be aware: they try to trick you all the time. They told us at check out we hade to pay taxes. On our Agoda booking it said taxes was included. I showed them my papers and you could tell they were disappointed I had proof. After leaving the hotell they started phoning me, leaving messages saying I had not payed for my stay. I e-mailed them my Agoda reciept. Then it stopped. The staff is lacy, there is litter everywhere on the beach. The cleaning of our room was not good. There are few sunbeds and if you want one you have to get up at 6-7. They are also old and shabby. If it rains they are wet all day. Other hotels take them away during night. But the location is beautiful. Several nice restaurants around the hotel. Breakfast ok. But sad they only had passionfruit one morning. Don’t book this hotel. Take the one next door instead. Much better!

Incompetent Staff & Dirty Rooms”
Great location on the beach but it's nearly impossible to get anything from the staff. Everything needs to be ordered through a waitress no walk up bar and need to use the kendwa credit card system to charge to room or must pay at one of two cashier points for each purchase. Minimum 25 minutes to get one beer from moody staff and the whole process discouraged us from ordering drinks or food throughout our 3 day stay. Check in is 2pm not 12pm and we couldn't get into our room until 4pm. Oh and they hold your passports during your stay, which made us feel very uncomfortable. Room smelled of dead fish, stained sheets and moldy shower. Wifi was barely usable and constantly dropped out. Stay somewhere else.

They ruined my honeymoon - no customer service!”
This place came highly recommended, and at the beginning all was great. After the first night, we loved the bungalow we had reserved and asked to extend our stay. They told me it would be available and we paid for the extension. A few hours after paying, they called me to say that they'll have to move us to another bungalow for the extension. The next day I asked to see the bungalow they'd move us to and it was a downgrade from the room we were in. When I said I didn't like the new room, they tried to pressure me to take it. The next couple of days spent at this place was hell. I then asked to simply refund me for the extension and I'll stick to my original check-out date, they made a big deal and argued with me for hours. When it came time to check out and my driver was waiting for me, they told me it would be difficult to refund me the extension, made me spend hours being passed around to different people while they were still convincing me to stay in the room I didn't like.

Very disappointing ”
Although staff is trying to assist us the best way they could, the services and atmosphere in here is way beyond expectations. Booked 7 nights but will check out earlier, huge hotels brings lots of disrespectful guests who are bringing huge problem. Not at ease at all.
