Outdoor Hot Spring is closed”
Very disappointed that outdoor onsen is renovation and closed. Dinner Kaiseki is very grand and delicious. Room is clean but corridor is quite dark on 4/F. But staffs are nice especially the lady can speak CaNTONESE. This is my second visit will come again next year.

Good location but spa close at 11pm. Beware male cleaning staff rush into lady changing room”
If you do not leave the onsan changing room by 11pm, the male cleaning staff will rush in, really terrible! That means they don't bother whether there are still ladies naked inside the changing room.

We stayed in a triple room for 1 night. The room was big and clean with mountain view. Dinner and breakfast were not bad. Onsen is nice and you could also book private onsen at front desk. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel itself is located right next to the airport bus stop which is very convenient. Must book with the breakfast! A very decent buffet style breakfast with both Japanese and western style. The indoor hot spring is free of charge with the full view of Sakurajima which is very nice. They upgraded us to a super huge mixed style room (Japanese + western) and we enjoyed the massage chair in there a lot. Just the toilet is quite small and stinky. And the southern block was under re-construction so some facilities couldn’t be used.

One of the three main buildings is closed for renovation... I think the hotel should inform us about this. We were disappointed when we knew that we could not enjoy the outdoor hot springs due to the closure. Yet the meals, including the breakfast and dinner, were quite good. The location is convenient as well. It is just located next to the bus stations (to the main attractions and airport).

A good find for group travellers who wish to live in a single room”
The room space is big enough for 8 adults to sleep in a single after a drinking party :) through late night. The onsen facility is equipped with hot and cold bath and a suana. Too bad the open air bath is close for maintenance during my visit else it will be a wonder experience.

The hot springs are very nice and comfortable. Surrounded by nature, it can be difficult without a car. The meal was also very delicious. Facilities other than hot springs are a little delicate.
