Impressive ceremony hall.”
The ceremony hall where we could attend the morning pray was very impressive. Magical and mythical beyond words. However, I wish after pray, the monk would explain the history of Koyasan, back story of Kobo Daishi and Saizen-in to us as he did explain quite long in Japanese but no explanation in English at all. He just directed us straight to breakfast. Shojin ryori (Vegetarian meals) were delicious and the accommodation were very clean. Sento (Public bath) area was good and allow 4 people at a time. Men and Women seperated of course. I would definitely visit again if I have a chance :)

Holistic temple experience”
What an experience! While not cheap (for budget concious full-time travellers), the experience was well worth it. The dinner and breakfast was beautiful - both visually as well as in gourmet tastes. The Onsen was appreciated especially after hiking the Kumano Kodo. THe morning ritual left you feeling enlightened and meditational. Anyone visiting Koyasan should stay here over any other temple accommodation. Five star.

The best food weve had in all of japan! The temple is beautiful, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Rooms were nice and warm in the winter, comfortable beds and its really easy to get around walking or by bus. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes away. I would highly recommend!

Saizen-in is immediately across the road (a narrow road!) from the Garan, one of the three main sites at Koyasan. It is on the other end of town from Okuno-in, but a great walk to reach there! The Saizenin morning ceremony is a lovely traditional Buddhist recitation, the meals made a foodie out of me -- and I'm vegetarian; they prepared my meals to meet this request -- and I loved my modest and charming room in this beautiful old temple!

We had the garden view room and it was incredible everytime we looked outside - it was so beautiful. The room was spacious and had very warm and comfortable bedding. We felt so special being there!

It's located just beside Danjo Garan, has a nice & simple garden, certainly will look better if completely cover with snow. The interior (rooms & toilets) kind of new, not sure if they just refurbished it recently.

交通十分方便，有專用停車場，不用擔心泊車問題，如果乘坐公共交通工具也很方便，距離公車站只是三分鐘步程，住宿處距離景點也是步行距離。 工作人員懂英文，溝通沒有困難，住處很有特色，早上也可以參加頌經活動，感受心靈平靜。

西禅院さんは、今回で2回目の宿泊でしたが、リフォームして、随分綺麗になっていました。朝のお務めは、幻想的でとても素敵でした。若い御住職が声を掛けて下さって、嬉しかったです。何か、時代の流れを感じました。また、お世話になれればいいなぁ。と感じました。
