Meeru var en fantastisk upplevelse som vi aldrig glömmer! Jättefint boende, otrolig buffé som hade stor variation. Betjäningen i restaurang, strand, bar var otroligt bra. Hög klass på mat och dryck. All inclusive var Top notch! ( kan inte jämföras med det man brukar tänka ang all inclusive..) detta är på en helt annan nivå. Lyx! Jättehäftiga kvällsarrangemang med beachparty där en grym DJ spelade bästa musik!!! Alla dansade i sanden! Våra ungdomar som har höga krav på musik älskade det!!! Spa behandlingarna var oerhört hög klass på dessutom. Jobbar själv i branschen! Bästa resort! Top!!

Vi bodde i en over water bungalow som var mycket bra. Vi hade helpension och kunde tyvärr inte byta någon måltid till någon annan restaurang. Vanligtvis jan man det - inblandning ett visst tillägg.

Fantastisk miljö och trevliga Vattenvillor”
miljö precis som på ett vykort, oslagbart, bodde i watervilla med jacuzzi i 11 dagar, fantastiskt men inte nödvändigt. väldigt strömt i vattnet så bada knappt från villan, använde däremot jacuzzin mycket, all inclusive är ett måste.

Surpassed our expectations”
We had absolutely wonderful time at this resort. To begin with, the location and the island itself is simply perfect - it has plenty of white sand beaches all around the island, plenty of shade, beautiful, lush nature, abundance of corals to explore, but most importantly for me, the crystal blue waters stretched as far as the horizon. The good things is that the west and north side had waters deep enough to swim before the corals started, the east side has more reef starting sooner to the shore- perfect for snorkeling. There are soo many picturesque spots on the island, all kinds of swings and lonely palms trees, leaning into the ocean. I cannot express just how perfect this piece of a land is . Another point to discuss is the service- from inquiries about food alergies and prefferances, to going extra mile in making you feel comfortable. The service is working like a super smooth, well oiled machine- waters will notice you need assistance before you even turn to them, the hotel has an application where you can easily book excursions or see any changes/cancelations. I read some reviews from people, who had full board and felt being treated like less worthy customers, so I was a bit concerned, because we had FB too, but from the moment we came, we never felt treated any less. On the contrary, we were soo pleasantly surprised to find out that we got an upgrade from a garden room to a beach jacuzzi villa. We also got a compliment from the hotel in form of fruits and champagne because of our anniversary. The free covid test for people staying over 7 nights, was also a very good incentive. The catering had the best choice we have seen yet, tailored to vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters, everyone! The variety was great and the food quality was worth the extra plate. The only misuderstanding that happened was the 340USD transfer fee which we had paid in cash and then got charged again the other day. But we spoke to a receptionist and that was promptly resolved. DEFINITELY WORTH IT- BEST TRIP EVER”
Meeru Island Resort and Spa DEFINITELY didn't disappoint. I was very skeptical before going as it was so inexpensive comparatively to other resorts. In fact, the main reason I chose it was because of the price and because it only required a speedboat instead of a plane to get there and I only had a few days to spare. Upon arrival it seemed a little sketchy as the people at the Meeru station waved me off and told me to go wait in the restaurant and they would come find me. Don't be alarmed. They found me and we were off on the boat within an hour of me landing. The boat was a little rough as it had just rained and it was choppy and where I was sitting didn't have a window so I recommend you be one of the first passengers on the boat for choice of seat. After about an hour we pulled up to the island. We were greeted with traditional music by many workers on the island. Check in was VERY smooth as they came to us each individually and I was shortly taken to my room. (My bags were already there) I had on over water jacuzzi Villa in the 7oo's on the sunset side and it was GORGEOUS. Looks exactly like the pictures if not better. At night a light shines in the water and you can watch all the fish (and sharks) play. VERY COOL. The next day was my birthday and after going to breakfast, the room was made special for the day and decorated with flowers and palms. They really paid attention. At the spa that day I was given a gift (GET THE SPA TREATMENTS! Emi is THE BEST) and at dinner that night my table was decorated by my very new waiter Mahin (He was precious as he was still in training but very attentive and we became friends over our time there.) The pools and the view is gorgeous. The island is very walkable but you can also call for a buggy any time to transport you. The events in the evening were so fun, especially the traditions night. Wonderful experience at Meeru”
We had a 5 Nights and 6 day stay at Meeru Island Resort & SPA and our experience was simply out of the world. Our Properties [ We did a split stay ] 1. Beach Villa - Beach property 10-30 meters away from the beach 2. Jacuzzi Beach Villa - Beach property with an inhouse jacuzzi 10- 30 meters away from the beach 3. Jacuzzi water Villa – Overwater villa with jacuzzi and direct access to the water below ( Stairs ) – this is their flagship property and is very neatly done Note : All rooms come with beach towels in-case you want to take a dip in the beach water. Water villas come with 2 life jackets in-case you are not good at swimming but want to take a dip in the ocean below. ( This we believe was very thoughtful) Onboarding Process We had to visit the counter number 59 at the Male Airport where all the resort properties are there and the procedure was super smooth . The courteous staff guided us to the boat ( airconditioned) and it took about 50 mins to reach the property. The staff gave a warm musical welcome at the property upon arrival and completed our onboarding ( took about 15 mins ) and we were also given some cold hand towel and a welcome drink ( Ice Tea ) . Food at Meeru Island If you are on a full board plan , all the three major meals are covered in it. Breakfast ( 7 A.M to 9 A.M ) , Lunch ( 12 Noon to 2 P.M ) , Dinner ( 7 P.M to 9.PM ) . The main restaurant is called Malaan and its pretty spacious to accommodate a large number of guests. The spread across all three meals are very diverse and it lets you experience global cuisine. The quality of fruits , veggies and meat was very fresh and considering it’s a remote island they have done a very good job at it. There are some really scenic seating spots by the beach ( Day and Night ) . Night dining by the beach is very romantic. Beyond expectations”
Me and my wife went for our honeymoon to Meeru. Although one restaurant and one bar was closed (it is HUGE) due to a low number of guests, it was still one of the best experiences ever. Everything was just perfect. The staff at reception, housekeeping, the views, the hospitality. Its almost like they get hurt if they are not at your service a few minutes before you actually need them :D We had the All Inclusive Plus which I would recommend to get because of the value it offers. We also saw a lot of dolphins on the sunset cruise. My best experience was with the staff at Dhoni Bar, as I had the best times there every evening/night! The food was great and there was always something for all kinds of people and culinary preferences. The Jacuzzi was cleaned every other day, so were the bed linens. The rooms were cleaned spotless as if its my first day in there again. I cannot put into words how good they are with what they do. Would definitely want to go again and recommend to others!

Pros - 1) Service staff is usually very friendly and prompt (most of the time). 2) The entire resort is immaculately clean and organized. It's a beautiful resort and island, with a lot of snorkelling and scuba diving (S&S) spots nearby. 3) Plenty of activities and excursions, water sports, outdoor sports, and lots of kid-friendly activities. Cons - 1) Service is usually supreme, unless it comes to the on-island buggy transfers, had to wait between 25-30mins for their buggy as the island is either too big to walk or it's too hot to be out that long. 2) Food buffet spread is very diverse, but if you expect 5 star quality food and are not a fan of indian/maldivian food, you would be disappointed after the allure of buffet style food wares off in 2-3 days. In short their western, Mediterranean and dessert chef needs help. 3) Their bedding is known to give people with sensitive skin rashes, and if that doesn't get you make sure you use sunblock cause the biting sun will get you.

Heaven on earth”
I stayed here with a big group of relatives and my two own children. We were upgraded to the jacuzzi beach villa and we were all so delighted. Food and facilities were excellent. Staff were all so friendly and accommodating to my children. Definitely go for the all inclusive plus package it is good value for money. Rooms were clean. Staff really put alot of thought into making our stay comfortable. The day bed was converted into a bed for my toddler and the cot for was already in my room even before i asked for it. Bridget, Mook, Ziyad are a few of the staff we encountered that performed above and beyond. There were other staff that deserves a mention but unfortunately i cant remember their names. Also, thanks to the team in the kids room that were so patient with the kids and organized so many activities for them. Definitely a family friend resort and we can't wait to come back to this resort soon.

We came here for honeymoon and stayed at the north part of the island - jacuzzi water villa for 4d3n which has access to the crystal clear sea! It was absolutely amazing! The design of the room is perfect and very well maintained (looks sooo much better than the photos on agoda). We could even watch shark, turtle and fish underwater while enjoying our complimentary mini champagne by the resort (honeymoon complimentary). Unfortunately, we were unable to go to the sea from our water villa due to high tide season in December. But that’s okay, we went to the ocean along the island. Room service came in twice a day and refill drinking water for free and make sure minibar is always filled up. We booked full board meal and varieties of food served at international buffet which came in differently daily. Never get hungry at this place! We also went for free snorkeling session during the daytime and the instructor , Bruno is such a professional. Facilities on the island are so perfect! Our day was so contented here! Eat, sea, sleep and repeat! Not to forget that everywhere is so picturesque. For boat transfer, it took us about an hour to Meeru from Male airport at $320 return trip for 2 persons. Very systematic time schedule which was shown on tv screen in our room and reception for our next day departure time. Will definitely be back! Thanks Meeru for creating an absolutely awesome honeymoon memories for husband and myself. So in love.

Excellent and luxurious resort”
I can't imagine a better or more perfect resort for the money than Meeru. The whole island is the resort - we didn't wear shoes the entire time we were there! It was luxurious while relaxing, pampering and comfortable. The service is excellent and personal - from our welcome to our restaurant server to the snorkeling trip to check-out. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and varied. There are a plethora of fun activities: 9 holes of golf, fitness, spa, snorkeling, entertainment, etc. Our beach villa was huge - and we loved how the shower, bathroom and Jacuzzi were outside. We are trying to figure out how to go back. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in the Maldives - and only a short 50 min boat ride from the airport. We have a wonderful experience in Meeru Island resort. We have booked the Jacuzzi Water Villa with sunset view. Everything was really great. The room is large and clean. The room is cleaned twice a day with minibar refill. The sea is really clean with lots of lovely creatures. Food was very good and delicious in Maalan Buffet Restaurant and we really appreciate the chef that cooked and sliced the food to us who were really nice. Cruise were great and we have joined the sunset cruise, local village tour and coral reef snorkeling cruise. All are really great. The resort was really big. Wifi was fast in all the rooms, restaurants and bars. We have a wonderful trip here.

Spent 5 nights in one of their Jacuzzi beach villas on an all inclusive package (May 20th to 25th).This place is an absolute paradise! Beautiful white sandy beaches and a super relaxing environment. Lots of activities should you choose to have a break from relaxing in the sun. The rooms are cleaned twice daily and they try their hardest to keep the bugs away, but as this is a tropical island in a very hot and humid climate, nature tends to win occasionally and you will find the odd ant and bug in the rooms here and there. The food was generally good with a good selection of different cuisines to keeps everyone happy. Staff were great and very tentative. Overall we had an amazing 5 days at Meeru and we have already booked our next visit for May next year!

One word: Paradise”
We were 5 nights in Meeru which is optimal as with that you can get one dinner at one of the two restaurants (we chose the Asian one, very nice). We staid in the water villa in the north side (700s) only adults, and in our opinion nicer restaurant. Our waiter Niyaz was very helpful and the cleaning staff Mohammed was super nice and always ready to help. We tried windsurf, voleyball, snorkell in the house reef...all was great! In addition I had a small accident and the staff and the doctor reacted super quickly an effectively. The only down side: a woman often quite drunk in the villa next to us, even one night we had to call security but they were very reactive. I guess is exceptional but just watch your neighbours and complain at the first night you get issues.

Amazing stay for solo traveler”
I had a wonderful stay at Meeru! The jacuzzi over water bungalows are simply a dream. Big, clean rooms with a balcony and steps leading right to the water. The included buffet was expansive and delicious. There were different choices every day for every meal. I loved the carving station and pasta station. The staff was amazing. Very accommodating and everything is run like a well oiled machine, especially the restaurant. The pools were beautiful and well maintained. The highlight was just laying on the beautiful white sand beach and enjoying the view. This was a great value for the money as many other over water bungalows we’re twice as expensive elsewhere. I look forward to returning to Meeru!

- My 2nd time here, this time with elder parents. Meeru is still the best choice in term of what we pay VS what we get. The thing is it's the farthest island that speedboat can get to. So the transfer cost is cheaper than those with seaplane or domestic flight, while the nature is tranquil and beautiful. The jacuzzi water villa here is the most valued for money in Maldives - The advantage of Meeru is the size of the island, which enable it to have variety of activities. So it's not only suitable for couples, but also suitable for family & friends as well. This is why I chose Meeru this time - The best thing for me this time is the windsurf lesson. It's a so overlooked activity and deserves to be singled out. It exceeds all my expectations. It was supposed to be half-hour lesson, but thanks to the instructor who stayed a lot overtime, the 4 in the class were finally able to sail after struggling a lot on first round. I never thought I would be able to do it. It was amazing.

In brief, I just want to say that it is really the best option for its price value. Food There is plenty of choices in the buffet both breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maybe there would be more options for cheese in breakfast time. Everyday there was an ice cream at dinner ❣️ Meals are really delicious. Gluten free, vegan and pork options, halal meats. There is no chance to leave the buffet with empty stomach. And Kasim, thank you for everything, you even memorized we drink tea after our meals, and you served without waiting our request. Room Very clean. Staff came everyday for cleaning. Towels, blankets, dryer, air conditioner, ceiling fan, hangers, safe, coffee/tea options, refillable water bottles, sofa, shampoo even moisturizer, open air shower and really spacious room. Plugs are compatible with most, even there is usb options. You can maybe bring your pluggable fly& insect repeller not because of mosquitos but for ants. They really bite. Beach&Pool There are bars near pools. Pools are big enough and water is clean. There are hot towels provided. Beachs, sands are very impressive. One side of the island is windy while other is stable. You can choose where to swim according to weather. Everyday there is snorkeling option with trainer for free. You must swim while sunset, and watch it lying back on chaise longue. Beautiful sunset, visible stars at night. Transportation It took almost an hour to get the island. We didn’t wait at the airport much. When we arrived, we are welcomed with an iced tea and some ceremonies. When we return home, our flight was at night, they didn’t put us on airport at early hours. We packed our staff and enjoy the island till 7 pm. In the island you can call buggy to transfer you to place you want. But buggy staff we encountered is rude to us.
