Fantastiskt hotell med utsikt över Mekong”
Jag har varit i Luang Prabang många gånger och passerat Mekong Riverview Hotel och tänkt att här måste jag bo. Nu har jag fått ett nytt favorit hotell. Från den välkomnande ankomsten till det lite sorgliga avskedet så är det som att vara hemma. Personalen hjälper till med det mesta. Restaurangen som ligger vid flodbanken serverar god och vällagad frukost och lunch. Bara utsikten på restaurangdäcket är en njutning i sig. Rummen är genuina med snygga trägolv, stort badrum och separat toalett på rummet jag bodde. Mekong Riverview är ett av de få hotell jag bott på som har en ”riktigt bra” säng. Höj och sänkbar och jag sov som en prins. Lugnt och stilla område och gångavstånd till alla sevärdheter.

Nice property, great location ”
Wonderful stay in the Old Town with the hotel property spread across the tip of Peninsula... Also, with an excellent salt water pool on the other side of the River! A good hotel restaurant at the tip of Old Town Peninsula as well, with clean and charming rooms, ok bathrooms and nice terraces... Welcoming owner, Mr. Urban, helpful crew at the front desk... The pool area Manager, she was really nice too! One of the best places in Luang Prebang I could see...

Best place to stay in Luang Prabang ”
The location is perfect. The property itself is beautiful. Mekong Riverview has a breakfast restaurant overlooking the river. We looked forward to breakfast each day we were there. The owner Mr. Urban leads by example. There is a genuine desire to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. They actually really seem to care about you . The attention to detail, from the heaters to the blankets for your lap during chilly winters , set this property apart from the rest.

Would come again and again”
This became our home during a precious one week visit to Laos. We’re determined to come again and stay longer. The setting is breathtaking and the grounds are impeccably maintained without being overly manicured. The rooms are tastefully decorated with hardwood and furniture inspired by local crafts. The restaurant serves a delicious and varied breakfast. The staff are wonderfully trained and so sincere in their desire to make your visit a memorable one. One of the loveliest travel experiences we’ve had. And every week Mr Urban The proprietor hosts a wine party for his guests . His story of how he found Luang Prabang and indeed his whole life is a tale worth repeating. How lucky are we that he did and now shares this but if paradise with us. Thank you Mr Urban.

Great Expectations Met”
From the Owner to the bellman, this hotel met all of my expectations and more. Great location overlooking the Mekong. Quite, peaceful location. Great, comfortable and luxurious rooms. River boat cruise, nice food service, great tour arrangers and the Owner goes out of his way to greet you and to insure you have everything you need. You are foolish not to choose this hotel and I will return.

Excellent Location and Amazing Service”
The Mekong Riverview is located right on the Mekong and within steps of many of Luang Prabang's historic wats. It is close to restaurants and easy to get to other locations because the hotel will help take you via their golf carts. We used their laundry service which was quick and affordable so we didn't have to pack as much. We also used the pool which is on the other side of the bamboo bridge. It's a bit of a walk, but understandable as no pools are allowed on the historic area of Luang Prabang due to UNESCO rules. They would also pick you up on the other side and take you to the pool via a golf cart tuk tuk. The hotel staff helped us book a boat to the Pak Ou caves, as well.

Wonderful Peaceful Hotel”
We loved this great hot on the end of the UNESCO village. Ideally situated and with very nice touches and a wonderful view deck for having meals and drinks. We had this hotel recommended to us by a former manager there. And we are happy to say that this staff is excellent and the owner a very kind man. finally, they have an offsite pool facility, which is great considering UNESCO does not allow any pools in the entire town. So he really has thought of everything. We would recommend for adults only though, as the guesthouse has a quiet and intimate charm. We won’t hesitate to stay again.

Truly great experience from answering our questions, helping us to organize a boat-tour, cleaning the room every day, always a smile on their faces and even covering our motorbike to protect it against the rain. The Mekong Riverview Hotel is a gem.”
While it might have one of the furthest locations from the town's commercial-centre (although it is a distance of only 1km), it also has one of the most beautiful spots, if not *the* most beautiful spot, in Luang Prabang, which it capitalises by locating its cafe overlooking the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. The cafe was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, with its precious views a reminder of the overall beauty of Luang Prabang. The property is well-manicured and beautifully maintained. The public areas and the rooms are furnished in a luxe-local-style that we like. The rooms are well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda everyday taking in the warm weather and the view. This was one of our most memorable hotel-stays, in an equally beautiful town/location. We were sad to leave after a 4-night stay. Needless to say, we would return in a jiffy if the opportunity arose.

Our room had a fantastic view of the river. The room itself was all polished wood and traditional touches. We felted so pampered. Breakfast was cooked to order in the restaurant overlooking the confluence of the two rivers. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as honored guests. One evening the owner had a wine reception for all the guests. It was a lovely evening and facilitated the meeting of other travelers enabling us to share our adventures and learn from others.. Truly a magical hotel in the most beautiful in Laos!

Perfect location in Luang Prabang”
I had a few days to myself after some work near Luang Prabang and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mekong Riverview Hotel. It was in the perfect location to explore the old town of Luang Prabang. The best part was that there were bikes that I could use which locked so easily as I checked out all the sights. The staff were always available to help and were extremely kind and friendly. My room was superclean...the mattresses even reclined which was pretty awesome for relaxing during the day in the AC. Breakfast was right on the river with stunning views of the Mekong! Loved that! I highly recommend this gem.

A Piece of Paradise ”
The hotel and its grounds are exquisite. The staff are a truly friendly group clearly loving their work. The food is delicious and ample and the setting overlooking the Mekong is beyond belief in its splendour. I couldn’t be happier and feel grateful I found this piece of paradise. One of best hotels I've stayed at in SE Asia”
Just wonderful customer service, perfect location, beautiful rooms. They upgraded me to the deluxe room and it was absolutely beautiful. The only gripe I had was that the pool wasn't on premises, it was located across the way but they let me cross the cool bamboo bridge and provided transport directly to the pool/spa.

I always wanted to stay at The Mekong River and hotel is the perfect location. The included breakfast is in a restaurant across from hotel with amazing views of Mekong River, we could not get any closer. The owner of restos a very pleasant Swedish gentleman.

I cannot fault the Mekong riverview hotel. We couldnt have been in a more ideal position for the quietest part of town and yet overlooking both rivers, near all the temples and the bakeries. The staff were excellent and I highly recommend you ask for advice- they gave it willingly. We will definitely return.

Great location, beautiful breakfast over the bamboo walking bridge & 2 rivers. Owner, Urban, is divine greeting you each day & treating to a wine tasting mixer one night. Fantastic stay!! Book a balcony over river to wake up to that view & sound of boats sputtering upriver....

Fantastic Hotel ”
We had a wonderful three day stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. The location is superb, as it’s near to the temples and restaurants but far enough away to be in a serene and peaceful area.

Husband and I just spent 7 days here and the staff were very helpful beyond expectations. It was fantastic to escape the heat of the days in air-conditioning and fans. We so enjoy watching river life from our balcony too. Will be back!

Perfect location”
Mekong River View Hotel has one of the best locations in Luang Prabang. The hotel is physically very pleasing to the eye with an exterior of white walls and teak. The reception staff are friendly and well trained. Our superior room was a bit on the cramped side though there are much larger rooms to choose from. The breakfast at their View Point Hotel was adequate and enjoyable. I can recommend this hotel but caution is needed about the price. There are equally good hotels in Luang Prabang with slightly less good position for 40% less.

Of course there are other good hotels who have a little bit lower prices, but usually they are a bit further out and you then need a tuktuk to drive to the sights and activities in town, which adds up too.
