Definitely not returning to this "resort"...”
We were so looking forward to a little vacay away from the city only to be disappointed with our choice of location. Rooms were old fashion and had musty moldy smell and bedding and flooring looked so outdated and warn out. The bathroom had mold on the door and cracked tiles on the floor and the shower wasnt cleaned well. 🙃 Had cockroaches and spiders popping up out of the woodwork and scaring the kids. Worst sleep ever and even with my own pillow and bedding... Cupboards has moldy smell. Caravan park was too close to the units and it all felt like the trailer parks u watch in the movies. As for the entertainment room... what entertainment room? Clearly there is no maintenance being done. The walls were damaged and damp and paint peeling off and not clean... due to loadshedding no arcade games worked. Just 1 or 2 pool tables available and a tv for sports. Only entertainment the kids enjoyed was the go carts and the heated pool. The rest was just all disappointing that we couldnt stay another night.

Lovely Breakaway”
We spent a fantastic 6 nights at Merry Pebbles. The facilities we used (shop, heated and cold swimming pools and slides and jungle gym) were in great condition. The restaurant meal we had on arrival wasn't the best in terms of value for money and quality (prices seem to have increased drastically based on the version of the menu pinned up next to the trampoline and the salad didn't taste fresh), but there are many other options in the area and the location, friendliness of the staff, and lovely accommodation more than make up for it. We'll definitely return in future!

Great vibe but a bit expensive for what you get”
Great staff, room was kept clean, but to pay R4000 for 4 nights and not even have a aircon is just a tad expensive, the campings grounds looks very good and well maintained, the people just complained that there is not enough water points for the stands.

They have installed a Heat Pump water heating system in the Ablution block This Unit has an external fan that runes 24-7 The Noise at night is most disrupting and sounds like a sawmill cutting logs

The unit had a moist , musty smell. There was mold in the unit and it was very dilapidated. Definitely not worth the R1800 we paid per night.

Amazing Resort!!”
The resort and surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. The facilities are exceptionally clean, neat and modern. I'll recommend this to any couple or family looking for an amazing breakaway and holiday experience.

Fabulous Resort. Can't fault anything, other than suggesting to upgrade the mattress in 21. Please also consider duvets instead of unhygienic blankets. Will be back soon.

Tolles Resort, gute Lage”
Sehr schön angelegtes Resort. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Die gemietete Hütte war sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Toller, westlicher Campingplatz (im Stile von Italien oder Istrien)”
Wir waren ganz erstaunt, weil wir uns eine kleinere, einfachere Anlage für den Preis erwartet haben, aber weit gefehlt: Es gab ein Restaurant, einen guten Shop, einen Liqor Store, tolle Sanitäranlagen, Wifi, Strom und einen Braai-Korb an jedem Stellplatz (Holz und Kohle bei der Rezeption erhältlich). So eine Anlage kenne ich sonst nur aus Istrien oder Italien, allerdings ohne die super Braai-, d.h. Grillkörbe! Direkt beim Campingplatz geht eine schöne 5-6 Stunden-Wanderung los (googelbar: "Loerie Trail"). Und noch eine Info für geübte Pilzsammler: Was im südafrikanischen Herbst (d.h. so ca. im März) aussieht, riecht, sich anfühlt... wie STEINPILZE bzw. MARONENRÖHRLINGE, das SIND in der Tat essbare Steinpilze! Der ganze Wald hinter dem Campingplatz ist übervoll damit - offenbar sammeln und essen die Südafrikaner keine Wildpilze. Diese Perlen haben unser Braai vervollständigt. :) Jederzeit wieder!
