Great location overlooking the lake”
We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a lake view room and it was so beautiful to wake up to and enjoy. The room was a good size and the shower was very powerful and hot. There was a little seating area outside the room which was great for chilling. The owner is really friendly and helpful and always nearby if you need anything. There is a shared kitchen too and free drinking water. It’s also away from the noise of San Pedro so a good choice if you want somewhere for some peace and relaxation.

We loved our stay at Mikaso. The view from the patio was amazing and it was nice being away from the busy main strip of San Pedro. The manager was super friendly and helpful. I’d definitely go back.

Very friendly stuff, walking distance to the hart of San Pedro. Beautiful view to the lake. They certainly feel the blow of the pandemic. They had to reduce the staff, this can be seen in the cleanliness and details. With a little effort I think it can become a very nice hotel. We recommend this place

Awful room”
This place got more than 1 star just because the staff was very nice and helpful...other than the room was aweful. First we got dirty sheets and towels, we asked and got new ones with no problem..but they were dirty as well. Next, we found so many ants in the room we needed to ask the receptionist to help us clean and spray insect repellent in the room. We had spiders (plural!! 5 big ones) On the curtains and some other bugs on the bed. The shower was extremly unstable, getting steaming hot water and freezing water alternitavely without any control. No matter the time of day or how short was the shower (we tried). I don't know how are other hostels in San Pedro, but it's our 4th hostel in Guatemala and by far the worst. If you still want to look at the positive, there's a very good view of the lake and very helpful and nice staff.

This place was cheap enough but it definitely could have been cleaner. Internet was spotty. Great location on the water though. I saw some people swimming in the morning. Friendly staff and free water for guest from the giant jugs. I didn't go in the hot tub because it appeared to need cleaning.
