Ett av de snyggaste hotellen vi bott på, nära till bussar och tunnelbana som tar en till alla Kyotos sevärdheter samt till nöjeskvarteren i Gion. Badet var välbehövligt på kvällen efter alla dagsutflykter. Den enda nackdelen var att man inte kunde se ut genom fönstret i rummet. Hotellet är lätt att missa eftersom det bara står på japanska på fasaden. Absolut prisvärt om man bokar flera nätter i god tid.

The view is nonexistent, not even a real window. The rooms were new, though, and spacious. The onsen is a great luxury after a long day. This also has one of the best Japanese breakfast buffets. The only downside was that the staff were a bit cold (even compared with other Japanese hotels) , and the wait times for breakfast were long.

Our on-site restaurant IZAMA serves the best breakfast in town and is worth tying. However, We're sorry for this inconvenience it may cause that windows in some types of room cannot be opened. We're surrounded by a lot of houses and apartments which local people live in, and that is why the windows faced to other buildings cannot be opened.So we would appreciate if you could understand. The hotel assistants helped a lot on getting a taxi for us. However, we had a questionable experience with a taxi driver. He charged us 2010yen for 2.8km which fare is almost the same as the fare for 5.6km. We understand there might be some factors causing the difference. However, this fare was almost triples the fare shown on the Japan Taxi App.

Amazing stay for a great price. All of the staff were kind and respectful. The rooms were very clean and nice. The hotel its self had a great design. The best part was the onsen. Relaxing in it after a long day of sightseeing was the best. A very central location in Kyoto made it very convenient.

Extremely beautiful hotel both inside and out, although the rooms are definitely on the smaller side and the bathroom is standard chain hotel (think APA) style. Nevertheless. the breakfast is amazing and the location and amenities are also top-notch but just note the later check-in times- I could only check in at 3! Location is also good, very close to Karasuma station and walkable from the shopping district / Nishiki market area. There's a lot of great restaurants around! Overall, highly recommended!

We are designed as a Kyo-machiya style hotel; Machiya means a traditional wooden townhouse found throughout Japan and typified in the historical capital of Kyoto. I really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The location is perfect for dining, sight seeing and public transportation. The spa is fantastic---from 3pm through 9am, you can enjoy the spa as many times as you want. It was a great cure for a jet lag. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Great deal for less than $50 a night. Sleek modern and clean hotel. Best was the bath. Not real onsen but carbonated water. After a lot of walking and some hiking, it was great to be able to soak and relax in the large bath. Room size was just right and the Queen bed was a plus too. Room was equiped with large TV (60 in +?) and 4 cans of free water which is replaced daily.

Originally from Kyoto, we've stayed here for four nights for reunions with family and friends. The location of the hotel was just right on spot, easily accessible to city centers and transportation hubs, yet on a quiet back street with many fabulous local restaurants, "Izakaya" or pubs and the renown Nishiki market.
