Everything was fine, unless nothing was given from the hotel as a gift for our honeymoon. The reservation section was told about our honeymoon stay and they promised to provide free cake but nothing was given!!!

Pool VERY busy”
On arrival my room wasn't ready (3.30pm) and I was asked to wait an hour. After approximately 15 minutes the manager came to say the room was ready and escorted me to it. Room was lovely and clean. Went to the pool but it was busy, no spare loungers, kids running and screaming everywhere, several lifeguards blowing whistles repeatedly did not make it a relaxing space - I went back to my room and eventually to the bar where it was quieter and I sat on the balcony and read. Breakfast was good and the pool was quieter in the morning but got busy around 11 when I checked out. I know it was a busy weekend but not overly relaxing for how much I paid and I am not sure I would stay again.

I was cold at night. I rang reception 3 times, 3 members of staff came, they assured me that my room would get warmer, but it did not. The quoted price did not include the taxes. So, I had a bad surprise when I arrived. The sauna did not work and the jacuzzi water was cold. The swimming-pool was great, and so was the steam room. The hotel is on the beach, so you have a nice view on the ocean, either from your room or from the pool and restaurants. They were a bit thrifty on toiletries. There was barely enough gel to take 2 showers. Never mind if you wanted to have a bath. There was a hair dryer, but no shower cap.

This is my second visit to this wonderful hotel. Located at sea edge and set as a holiday resort, it is not far from town or port where most business is conducted. At the end of day of my 6 night stay, I had enjoyed the cooled swimming pool with the great bar at pool edge and an extremely friendly bar tender "Rakesk" maybe wrong spelling of his name but he is 12 of 10 score for customer service and professional bar tending. The Thai restaurant is the best feed I had in Sohar and the cook is authentic Thai Chef. The bar with a lovely balcony as well as great air conditioned saloon. The roof top cafe with "Shisha" is a gret relaxing setting with a friendly attendant.
