A great one night getaway”
I have visited the turtles many times over the years I have been in Oman but never stayed at a resort/hotel opting to camp most of the times. This trip with young children 4yrs & 5yrs we opted for the ECo tents at the Turtle reserve. It was during the C19 pandemic so there were restrictions and safety measures in place which were very good. Only one family allowed into the buffet area at a time to collect and package your food to take to your room to eat. The rangers were very well organised and knowledgeable. I am always looking out to ensure they control (nicely) the turtle watchers to ensure they don't flash lights and disturb the laying. So in summary and enjoyable evening and morning and educational for the children (and adults). We made the trip from Muscat just to see the turtles and then drove back the next day. One could go past the Dhow yard in Sur on the way down or back depending on your schedule otherwise there is not much else to do.

Marwalous Beaches”
Liked the rocky beaches very much... Very beautiful beaches... The stay was nice.. Night tour for turtle watching is better as compared to Morning tour. Double check the Hotel booking rates boath online sites and by calling the hotel directly before you book online, because for the same room and for the same date I saw different rates online. The restaurant food was nice ... Dinner is 10 RO Buffet only. For me , since the dinner is a light meal , the buffet price felt overpriced.

Best Place to Stay”
We found Rasaljinz a best place to stay with memorable experience of live turtle watch. Hotel Staff and tour guide was extremely friendly, polite and nice people. Strongly recommend to enjoy their hospitality.

Great experience during both night and morning tour. Staff was friendly. Delicious breakfast. Rooms were not renovated recently but I would definitely go back again for the experience.

All about the location”
We stayed 1 night, this is the perfect place for a “stop and go” type of stay. Booking the hotel you get the priority on the turtle tour in the evening which was fantastic (we could see turtles nesting and laying down eggs). The restaurant was surprisingly good and the staff very helpful. For the rest it’s an ordinary hotel, not particularly fancy but clean. Would not spend more than one night but all in all it was very well worth the stay

Hotel not great, but location fabulous with amazing experiences viewing the turtles. Morning turtle viewing the best. Hotel also has some nice walks nearby . In summary hotel worth the money due to its location but not due to hotel facilities.

It was impressive to see the turtle building its nest and laying eggs. We stayed in the eco tent that right next to the mountains and the facilities were basic but satisfactorily clean.

Unlikely looking but amazing base for viewing the turtles. Great place for coastal walks and viewing other animals like foxes and birds.

Reasons to stay here: 1. Priority to schedule for turtle viewing 2. You can watch twice (night & the next day early morning) in case you are unable to see once in the 1st tour. Isolated so can only eat in the restaurant inside the hotel, food is ok. Be Careful driving at night heading to hotel as the road lamps are dimmed.

The tours are the only reason to go to this resort.Turtles are amazing and (some) of the staff are knowledgable and entertaining. Rooms are small, no daylight (apparently for the turtles),bed is not comfortable and shower is just fine.

Very small rooms, food options are less. Couple of other properties are very nearby. Can try the luxury tent in Ras al Jinz.

Run down hotel in a place that must be seen”
The green turtle reserve is one of the top things to see in Oman and staying in this hotel is very convenient as they organise the walks to the turtle breeding beach. However, the hotel is going from poor to worse. It was my second time and either we were very unlucky about the room or this is what it is. The bathroom is just begging for refurbishing: paint flaking off the ceiling, old fittings with yellow stains on the shower bottom, the bathroom mirror literally falling apart, the frame of it broken in one corner... the room dipped in smell of old and dump. I understand most people come here just for one night to see the turtles but this place is all but cheap so the facilities should do justice to the price. Breakfast was good and plenty, that's true. The dinner had no option a la carte, all buffet which makes it less interesting for people who do not eat much for the dinner, far too expensive. Overall, benefiting from the convenience of the location but low standards for Oman.
