Central location, amazing onsen, modern style”
The hotel is immaculately clean, the staff is very friendly and the onsen surpassed our expectations. In addition to a big indoor onsen there are also three outdoor tubs in a beautiful ambience with flowers and relaxing music. The location is perfect - central Kumamoto, by the entrance of a shopping area. Even though it‘s in a lively area, the windows are soundproof so you can sleep well. We would love to come back and stay here again!

New minimalistic design hotel”
Newly opened in Dec 2019, conveniently located at Shinshigai where there’s lots of restaurants & shopping. The hotel is very new & clean, there’s a public bath which is nice after a long day of shopping or sightseeing. The moderate twin room we stayed is considered spacious for Japanese standard, at least we are able to open our large luggage with ample space to move around. Breakfast spread is simple but adequate. Overall a very nice stay we wish we could have stayed longer.

Very well located in the downtown of Kumamoto, near a shopping mall and Kumamoto Castle. Kumamoto was a main base for me to explore the surrounding such as Aso-san and Takachicho Gorge before heading to Yufuin and Beppu. The hotel is clean, the staff is very attentive and the onsen is a bonus. I would definetely stay here again!

As soon as I arrived, and was tired. But the bath house was very clean & amenities made everything so convenient and stay pleasurable. If I were ever to come back to Kumamoto, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Nice Jacuzzi outside”
I'm very sure that a lot of people satisfied with hospitality of this hotel such as clean room, nice location and Balmuda kettle and free movie channel. I will be back here again. Let me suggest only one tiny thing. Maybe people from 4th floor to 6th (7th?) sometimes waiting for long to get elevators so could you please consider to open the stairs to get the jacuzzi of 3rd floor and front desk of 2nd floor. Simple but great”
The hotel is relatively new. Nothing really fancy, very simple, but provided all necessities. Coffee and drinks in the lobby are free. The location is superb, lots of shops and eateries around. It gave out parking discount coupons for 3 parkings nearby. Highly recommend.

Ref chooses the green way. ”
Applaud their environmental efforts. Open air bath was wonderful, we found the Ref a little “do it yourself” eg putting out your rubbish each morning, asking for room cleaning which they forgot to do after 3 days. All was remedied but on holiday it’s not ideal.

No tattoos allowed”
Let me be clear here. The hotel and its facilities are perfect! I’d give them 5 stars, if not the fact they forbid all customers with any kind of tattoos to use their SPA (aka onsen). They even have warnings asking other customers to tell reception if they see some customers with tattoos. I do have small tattoos and felt very uncomfortable with that fact. They are a private property and they can dictate their own rule, sure. But is it really necessary? I just thought they could be a little more flexible and stop judging by appearance.
