A quiet hotel. Good for relaxation. Not really recommended for family unless you are looking for small budget. Place is very cozy and quiet. Quite clean. nice for solo traveller but a bit far from town center.

close to subway st. (10 min. walk) & and you can go everywhere (there are many types of tourist tickets ... choose one) v. close to big supermarket (3 min walk to subway) you can eat more cheaper about 50% to save for expensive ticket also, another market more cheaper close to subway st. named (lowson ) not (lawson) search about it in all japan ... you can eat cheaper than your country! ... if you find it ( it is a little.) ...(ask the god for me) . large excellent room w. kitchennete + tea/ coffee elect. + big desk. good hotel + p.c. & net in lobby (but slow)+ quiet.

Big rooms, more like Uni Halls of residence ”

Spent 4 nights here while visiting Tokyo. Close to a subway station so you can get to anywhere you need fairly easily. There is a supermarket nearby and a fridge and small kitchen in the room which was great for us as we are travelling on a budget. Staff very efficient, as always in Japan. Free umbrellas when it rains and cheap laundry, machines are free to use if you have your own powder, 50 Yen for powder from reception. Free fast wifi only in lobby.

Great hotel but a little far from Tokyo”

i booked for 1 person but i received a room that was normally for 2 people. lucky! my room was very spacious, clean and modern. cleaning is only available if you stay more than 7 nights, otherwise they charge for the service. because it is some distance away from metropolitan tokyo, you may need to add an extra 20-30 min for some of your trips. if you do stop at higashiojima station, make sure you take the ojima exit. this is only a 5 min walk to the hotel. the other exit can take 10-15 min. you will be living in suburbia tokyo. you can buy food cheaply from the nearby supermarket daiei.

Excellent Value for Money with nice features”

we stayed at refre forum for about a week and found the hotel to be a good value for money deal. the room size was small, but that is almost a norm in tokyo and one really can't complain much about it. they also provide a small mini kitchen which we found extremely useful. the steam bath and sauna in the basement was nicely done and a good place to relax at the end of the day. the hotel is a good 7 mins walk to the higashi ojima train station (from where you can change trains and pretty much go anywhere in tokyo) and about 3 mins walk to a supermarket to get your daily needs.

Nice Experiment”

i looked for the hotel address one day ago before i checked-in. because it is located in an alley, not on main road side. however, just like alice in wonderland, into the lane, you will find the modern and confortable hotel. the hotel is very clean. also, their staff are very nice and friendly especially the reception serviced in the front desk.

Location is great, its more where the locals live however its on a great metro line which results in very few changes to the main attractions.

Refre forum is located in higashi-ojima. It is quite a distant from any main attractions. However, this area offers a subtle japanese way of lifestyle. Very authentic of japanese way of living. Refre forum is a dormitory inn located in this area. First. we were a bit upset knowing that the hotel isn't exactly a hotel. It is more to a dormitory inn, however, after knowing their services and how spacious their rooms are (believe me hotels in japan are very difficult to find a spacious room), we are very satisfied indeed

Good value”

After coming from a large suite room at an expensive hotel in Japan we were expecting a tiny unbearable room, especially for the price of this place. We were pleasantly surprised and would have stayed longer if we had known. This place is basically like a college/uni with residences so expect clean with no frills. We had a twin rather than semi double room so it wasn't so cramped and would do the same again. The single beds were a standard size with enough room between them and a desk at the end of the beds with TV on. There was also room to put our bags on the floor without them being in the way although there was also a good sized wardrobe. There was a small area with sink, fridge and ring for boiling the kettle. The bathroom was very compact with a tiny bath but the shower over it was fine with surprisingly good water pressure. The extra bonus was the free washing machine on the second floor and tumble drier. Location is great, its more where the locals live however its on a great metro line which results in very few changes to the main attractions.

You need to use taxi to go to this hotel from Kameido Station. By say that, you should ask agoda for the hotel address in Japanese language.

Simple, Clean hotel with great Onsen”

I like my stay at this hotel. The onsen is really a plus point. Very refreshing after long walk tour. Lot's of restaurant nearby. This quite residential area is perfect if you wanna feel to be a local. Free washing machine on 2nd floor, no need to bring lot's of clothes. Always remember, traveling light is a must in Japan. Bed OK, room size is larger than business hotel in centre of Tokyo but the bathroom is slightly smaller than average. Very small for the person up to 80 kg. I will stay again in this hotel.

Larger than average rooms with friendly staff”

I had a great time at the hotel which has it's own communal bath. The staff were very helpful as when I tried logging into my email, the computer was giving me all sorts of problems, but they managed to sort it out in the end. It's within easy reach of the subway station and at the station, the map locates the hotel clearly, so that it's easy to find. The room was bigger than I had expected with ample storage space. It had all the essentials like hair dryer, towels, bath soap, slippers and even night wear which was a surprise, however it was a little big for me. I guess one size fits all. The only downside I think is the lack of English. The instructions for using the stove was in Japanese, and the manual had little English. If you don't know any Japanese at all, you may struggle understanding it especially the information for the communal bath. Overall, it was a great find for me even though it's about 15-20 mins from Tokyo Station. If you don't mind the distance, I fully recommend it.

Good Overall”

Overall, really good, clean, affordable, not too far from the city, friendly staff, everything works fine. The one thing I found frustrating was the fact that the staff does not speak English, they really try hard to help out, which is great, but I could not ask standard questions like directions to places, etc... There's always someone available to help, they are pretty quick and organized with all they do, although the wi-fi signal was not present in my room, it would work from the reception area though, which is just about perfect for being useless as they have a complimentary computer for guests there.

Hotel classique offrant tout confort mais trop eloigne a mon gout. Personnel ne parlant pas Anglais et pas de changement de draps/serviettes (sauf sur demande).

ถึงไกลตัวเมืองไปหน่อยแต่มีรถไฟฟ้าวิ่งผ่านแถมได้ห้องแบบดีเยี่ยมจะหาที่ไหนราคาแบบนี้้ ตอนจองไม่ได้คิดอะไรมาก แต่พอได้มาพักรู้สึกประทับใจตั้งแต่การต้อนรับพนักงานใจดีและเป็นกันเองมากๆ ห้องพักใหญ่เกินราคามากๆ แถมอุปกาณ์การตกแต่งอะไรใหม่หมด ที่นี้มีบ่อน้ำร้อมให้แช่ชิลๆด้วย ดีเยี่ยมครับ
