Great business hotel in Akita”
I spent a couple of nights here when my son was attending Akita International University. The hotel near the school was sold out so this was my second choice. It was a typically excellent Japanese business hotel - clean, quiet, and well appointed. If I was doing business in the downtown / Akita Station area, this might be my first choice.

Impressed Staying”
The reason I chose to stay here is my favorite Japanese actor stayed here one year ago as well. Richmond hotel provides us a amazing staying in Akita. Staffs here are excellent!! And the whole hotel is very new. Easy to get here from Akita Station via overpass.

Booked a triple room.. Room size is good... Able to open up 3 large luggages within the room.. Its v close to the station n its just opp to the akita Market.

The hotel staff were super friendly. The room was spacious enough with a good sized tv. I left feeling relaxed. Would definitely go again :-)

Rooms are clean. Didnt hear outside noise from my room- this is a big plus for a light sleeper.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from JR Akita and there are several convenience stores around it. Easy to get around even in the late evening (which was when I arrived). Also an easy 10-15 minute walk to Senshu park. The room was quite spacious and equipped with all of the necessities. Staff was friendly.

We couldn’t get a non-smoking room so sadly the room had a stench. Breakfast was very crowded and the area was small. Nevertheless we had a good stay and recommend the bigger rooms if you have 3 pax or more.

Quite a good hotel ”
Hotel location is great. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Security is good. Rooms were generally quite clean, but one of the towels had a strand of hair (let's just say it wasn't from the head) on it, but the staff replaced it and were very apologetic about it. Room walls are pretty thin though. Still, generally a nice hotel. Wouldn't mind staying here again.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Akita Station. We had a pleasant stay in Richmond Hotel and would definitely stay there again, if given a chance.

A Really Good Choice”
It was my first time travelling solo to Akita and Richmond Hotel Akita Ekimae truly made a good first impression and my stay there enjoyable. The facilities were great; they provided almost everything you need (e.g. toothbrushes, cotton buds, etc.) and were prompt with the replenishing of essentials like towels. Location wise, it's really just a 4 minute walk from the station which has many shopping centres to explore. There's a 7-11 nearby too! Staff were friendly, checking-in and checking-out procedure was smooth sailing and easy. Would recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting Akita!

This was a very nice hotel. It was comfortable and clean everything’s new and the size of the rooms are larger than most in Japan. The price is reasonable for the location and quality of the stay. Very comfortable!!!

Akita too remote from .everything”
Akita is good if one intends to explore into its beautiful countryside. It is practically a ghost town after eight except the rail station. There is opracticall no business street except a hallway leading from the station to the side street. Besides there is nothing worth exploring in Akita city too small to be called even as a city. Sendai would be a better place of a connecting point to e plot,e the north east region.
