Relaxing Sunset Views on Sado ”
We spent two wonderful nights at Hotel Azuma and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing island stay with magical sunset views. Overlooking the ocean, Azuma has a beautiful back lawn with chairs, hammocks, or a swing for you to sit and enjoy the sound and views of the ocean and setting sun. There are a few staff that speak English too. We booked on Agoda and our plan only came with breakfast but that ended up being perfect. After sightseeing on Sado Island we would pick up a bento from a convenience store or Hotto Motto and have a sunset picnic dinner on the back lawn. I also went to the onsen one evening about 6:45 pm and since all the other guest were at dinner had the place all to myself. There are two private onsens overlooking the ocean you can reserve for 1,100 yen for 50 minutes if you’d like to enjoy privately with your partner or family. In the evenings there is free jazz or a local dance troupe in the lobby and they also offer a free shuttle to the evening illumination at the nearby Kitazawa Floating Plantation. When you checkin ask to be added to the list to go to the illumination as there are limited spots. Upon checking you’ll also get to choose a yukata you can wear while in the hotel (the obi/belt is in your room) and they have free badminton rackets you can borrow and ping pong too. You can also rent snorkel gear, water shoes, floaters, or fishing rods and they also offer sea kayaking rentals. Our room was spacious with two twin beds, an in room toilet and shower/tub, small fridge, and a sea view. There is also a coin laundry and microwave near the onsen on the second floor. This would be a great location for couples or families wishing to explore the island but also relax outside a bit with a gorgeous sea view. You will need a car to make the most of your stay on Sado Island and we recommend you stay at least two or three nights. There’s so much to see/do here and you’ll want some down time to just sit on the lawn outsid

Kudos to the friendly hotel team for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing! After staying for 3 nights, we loved it so much and extended our stay for another 2! The ample space (indoors and outdoors) makes it a great place to take it slow and relax. P.S. If you don't drive, be sure to call ahead and let them know to pick you up when you arrive at Aikawa Bus Station.

Truly disappointed”
It is unacceptable that the outdoor hot spring of a so-called hot spring hotel was being repaired without informing customer previously! It is a remote island and all tourists have to spend much time on travelling and finally the only thing they could provide was a tiny indoor , public hot spring that we could find everywhere in Japan. Think twice before choosing this hotel and otherwise it is just a waste of time!

料理がすごく美味しかった。 何を食べても感動レベルの美味しさで、素材の味が最高です。 大浴場も古いけれども綺麗に清掃されていて気持ちよく利用できました。 ただ、夜間のロビーがとても寒くて、マッサージをフロントの端で受けている間寒すぎて体が冷えました。 それ以外は最高のホテルです。

息子が風邪をひき始めたようで、薬を買おうと薬局を調べてもナビでも近くで見当たらず。フロントで尋ねたら、「街に薬局がありますが、まだ開店前ですから、こちらをどうぞ」と風邪薬をいただきました。すぐにその薬を飲ませ、薬局の開店を待つ必要もなく、旅先での時間の無駄もせずにすみました。 また手入れされた庭を朝早く散歩していると、スタッフの方が近寄って来て、写真を撮ってくれました。 こちらが頼む前に申し出るというスタッフの方々の態度がとても嬉しかったです。 今度はサンセットビューの部屋に泊まりたいです。

絶景の宿”
部屋から海が良く見渡せ最高のロケーションです。露天風呂は、少し狭く感じました。宿泊客の入れるエリアから露天風呂が丸見えになります。(木の窓を閉めれば見えなくなりますが、海の絶景は見えなくなります)リノベーションをした感じで、洗面台やエアコン、ベッドが新しくなっていたように感じました。とても、綺麗です。 朝食は、2種のお米が食べ放題でとても美味しかったです。朝6:00〜コーヒーのサービスやイベントも開催されていました。駐車場が満杯になる時があるようで宿の方にどこに停めて良いか聞いて対応しました。総合しておススメできる宿です。

海岸に面した高台にある広い敷地でゆったりと過ごせます。１Fのカフェは窓が大きくかなりくつろげます。館内は少し古めですが設備はきれいです。モヘイムのカップが部屋に置かれていて、心地よさへのこだわりを感じました。

夕陽のホテル”
２連泊しましたが、スタッフ・食事・温泉・ロケーション全て良かったですね。夜のライトアップミニツアーやロビーでのサックス演奏・佐渡おけさの踊り等 このコロナ禍の中で一生懸命努力されておりました。レストランでオーダーしたものを忘れるスタッフさんがいましたが、ご愛敬です。ありがとうございました。

水平線と夕日と温泉🎵”
立地が最高です。 部屋から海へ直接降りられる。 夕日が本当に綺麗✨ 貸し切り露天風呂は清潔で眺めも素晴らしかった👀 こちらの都合で美味しい夕食が一回だけだったのが心残りです。 また、佐渡に行きますので 必ず吾妻さんに宿泊したいです。😊
